Cowboys Rumor Includes Mexico Visit in Schedule Future
The Dallas Cowboys have their full 2025 schedule and the excitement is abundant per usual when the team has a 0-0 record. Games are still months away but the extremely early forecasts and predictions have fans buzzing about the new-look Cowboys already.
Dallas touts six primetime games and a total of eight standalone games, including their blockbuster Thanksgiving Day game against the Kansas City Chiefs and their Christmas Day bout with the Washington Commanders.

Unsurprisingly, the league capitalized on its biggest draw to feature some marquee matchups and perhaps lifted up the quality of otherwise mediocre contests on paper. But there was one aspect of the schedule the Cowboys were notably left out of.
The NFL has launched its most grand International Series campaign to date with games spread across Brazil, Ireland, Germany and the United Kingdom. Some speculation had the Cowboys facing the New York Jets in London, but that clearly never came to fruition.
However, a prime opportunity could be around the corner when the time comes for the 2026 schedule. The NFL has notably not had Mexico in its rotation for the last couple years. That could be set to change.
During an ESPN Mexico broadcast last season, insider Jeff Sutcliffe reported that there is some buzz around the the league heading back to Mexico.

"I've heard the Houston Texans want to go to (Estadio) Azteca as the home team (in 2025), the Cowboys would go in 2026."
Now the first half of that rumor did not work out, but the stars could align for a return to Mexico City for 2026.
Estadio Azteca has undergone significant renovations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to kickoff next summer and Mexico serving as a host nation.
With those complete, what better way to make a return than bringing the most popular sports franchise in the world who happens to be right next door?
Dallas Cowboys in Mexico By Tony Fisher
It makes for a slam dunk addition to the league's International Series and the Cowboys should draw an incredible crowd. We think Jerry Jones and his crew would be more than interested in making it happen.

For now, Cowboys fans will have to settle with the schedule for 2025 and prepare for a major campaign with their reloaded squad.

49ers Coach Kyle Shanahan Breaks Top 10 NFL Best Coaches
49ers Coach Kyle Shanahan Breaks Top 10 NFL Best Coaches originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The San Francisco 49ers have had an immeasurable amount of success since the arrival of Kyle Shanahan in 2017. Advertisement Four NFC Championship games and two Super Bowl appearances make San Francisco the most successful NFC team from 2019-23, although a Super Bowl title still eludes Shanahan. And that's the goal, of course. The 49ers' last Super Bowl title came after the 1994 season with a 49-26 win over the then-San Diego Chargers. But the Shanahan train keeps rolling through Santa Clara, and he just cracked the top 10 of Pro Football Focus' best coaches in the NFL. "Kyle Shanahan remains one of the NFL's brightest minds, capable of building elite offenses and contending with flawed rosters," writes PFN's Brandon Austin. In a league dominated by star quarterbacks, the San Francisco 49ers have reached Super Bowls with Jimmy Garoppolo and Brock Purdy under center. There are several pieces of evidence to support Shanahan's prowess as an offensive architect, including Matt Ryan's 2016 MVP campaign. Advertisement "Shanahan's system is one of the biggest reasons why some people doubt Purdy. It just works. However, the Niners have experienced plenty of volatility under Shanahan, posting four 10-loss seasons in eight years. Injuries have derailed promising seasons, but as the head coach, he must answer the questions that come his way." "Despite never hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, Shanahan has four double-digit win seasons, including three in the last four years, and multiple NFC Championship appearances. He still has one of the NFL's most respected reputations." A lot of the credit to Shanahan is due to his prowess as an offensive mind. Maybe even more so than his accomplishments as a head coach. There's no arguing that he's good at both. Peyton Manning credits Jalen Hurts for talking him out of QB rankings discussions
Peyton Manning won't be entertaining QB rankings discussions following a year-old conversation with Jalen Hurts One day, when we're all old and grey, we'll have quite a few stories to tell the grandchildren about great quarterback play. Who knows? Maybe we'll discuss Jalen Hurts with them. Maybe we can, at that time, discuss several Super Bowls he won with the Philadelphia Eagles. It's hard to imagine an NFL career getting off to a more fiery start, unless, of course, we could travel back in time and fix the field at Super Bowl 57. By raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy last February, Jalen made waves by losing his first Super Bowl and getting back to win another one. It isn't something we have seen happen very often. Shout out to John Elway! But, it's Hurts' time now. He's one of the young offensive signal-callers filling a void few thought could be filled, a mammoth-sized hole left by Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Speaking of Peyton Manning... Peyton Manning jokes that Jalen Hurts may have talked him out of the QB rankings business Here's a funny story for those looking for a chuckle. While hanging out at Fanatics Fest in NYC, Peyton joked that he wouldn't be offering a 2025 version of the top five NFL quarterbacks list he shared last season. Last year, when he did the same, he received a call from Jalen Hurts about 20 minutes later asking Manning why the Eagles' quarterback was omitted. There has seemingly been no word about whether or not Jalen and Peyton's conversation added any more fuel for his quest to win Super Bowl 59 last season. Still, based on everything we have learned about Hurts up to this point, we're going to assume it did. We'd also like to thank Manning for any additional comments that he might make about the Eagles' gunslinger in the future. At this point, praise, criticism, oversights, backhanded compliments, and disrespect are all welcome. Oh, and by the way. Did you catch that? Who knew that Hurts had Manning on speed dial and that these two were so friendly? Alabama and Tennessee quarterbacks are hanging out now. Who would have ever guessed?
