The emails had triggered panic across schools, hospitals, and key public sites including the Narendra Modi Stadium and BJ Medical College.
"She was difficult from the start, lashing out at officers and denying involvement in fluent English," said a senior cybercrime official.
According to the FIR, during questioning at the Shahibaug Cyber Crime office, Joshilda screamed, "I don't want to live, I want to die," climbed onto a table, picked up a poker, and attempted to assault officers.
One officer was reportedly suffered injury due to her nails during the scuffle. She was booked under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for assaulting public servants and obstructing govt work.
Sources in the cybercrime unit alleged that Joshilda's actions were driven by personal revenge. She allegedly targeted a male colleague she was infatuated with, after he married someone else. In a bid to frame him, she reportedly sent threats under male aliases and even linked him to false rape and terror allegations.
Joshilda, who worked with Deloitte USI, was tracked down using digital forensics despite her extensive use of VPNs, dark web tools, fake email accounts, and over 80 virtual phone numbers to mask her identity. Investigators say a minor digital slip eventually led them to her.
She was arrested from Chennai and brought to Ahmedabad. For the first two days, she cried and pleaded innocence, but later took a calmer approach, insisting she wasn't involved in any crime, said cyber crime sleuths.

Teacher job aspirants cry foul over NMC's misleading advt
Nagpur: A recruitment drive by the NMC for temporary balwadi (pre-primary) teachers under education department turned into a chaotic and emotional scene on Wednesday, as dozens of BEd and DEd-qualified aspirants accused the civic body of issuing a misleading advertisement. According to the candidates, the advertisement (Advt No. 197, dated June 18) clearly mentioned that graduates from any stream holding either a DEd or ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) diploma would be eligible for the walk-in interviews scheduled on June 26. However, upon arrival at the venue, several applicants were allegedly turned away by staff, who reportedly told them they were not eligible despite fulfilling the advertised qualifications. "The advt said DEd-holders and even general graduates could apply. But the officials told us to leave, saying BEd and DEd candidates aren't eligible," said a candidate, holding back tears. The civic body had announced 25 temporary positions for balwadi teachers across Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, and English medium schools, on a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs20,000. As per the notification, recruitment was to be conducted purely on a contractual basis for the academic year 2025-26, with walk-in interviews scheduled on June 26 from 8am to 11am. The candidates have submitted a collective complaint to municipal commissioner Abhijeet Chaudhari, who assured to look into their grievances.

Delhi HC Seeks NTA Reply On NEET-UG Plea Over Biometric Glitch At Exam Centre
Last Updated: The Delhi High Court has asked the NTA to reply to a NEET-UG 2025 plea seeking compensatory marks due to mental distress from faulty biometric verification at the exam centre. The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) in response to a NEET-UG 2025 candidate's petition seeking compensatory marks, citing mental distress caused by a faulty biometric verification process at the examination centre. On June 20, Justice Prathiba M Singh asked the NTA to file a reply to the petition, which alleges that the biometric verification system failed during the pre-exam authentication at Trishla Devi Kanohar Lal Balika Inter College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The candidate appeared for the exam on May 4. According to the plea, the petitioner was not immediately allowed entry into the exam hall due to a technical issue and was required to submit a written application seeking permission to enter. He was reportedly allowed into the examination hall just five minutes before the test began. The plea further states that while the examination was in progress, the candidate was asked to leave the hall again for biometric verification and was made to submit another written application, both in English and Hindi, to the centre superintendent. This caused significant mental disturbance, according to the petitioner, impacting his performance. The candidate, who reportedly scored 98.86 percentile, has also requested the preservation of all relevant records, including CCTV footage, logbook entries, and other registers from the exam centre. The petitioner's counsel submitted that compensatory marks could be granted in line with a previous Supreme Court ruling. The court noted it would consider the matter after reviewing the NTA's response. Given that NEET counselling is tentatively scheduled to begin on July 1, the court has listed the matter for further hearing on June 27. (With inputs from PTI)
