AL ARISH (WAM)"Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" announced the launch of an initiative to drill water wells, in cooperation with local authorities and municipalities in the southern Gaza Strip, to help mitigate the worsening catastrophe of severe water shortages. This urgent humanitarian step aims to alleviate the effects of the crisis, while stressing that these efforts are temporary solutions and do not constitute a fundamental resolution to the ongoing humanitarian disaster. This initiative comes in light of the continued closure of Gaza's crossings and the prevention of the flow of food supplies and fuel necessary to operate water stations, which has resulted in the collapse of vital infrastructure. In a related development, the humanitarian operation also announced the start of its support for food kitchens and makeshift bakeries through the local market, targeting camps and shelters in southern Gaza.
The goal is to provide a minimum level of food security for affected families and to ease their suffering amid the dire humanitarian conditions.
