Chinese woman dates 20 men, asks for iPhones, sells them to fund property down payment
Fresh interest in the old case comes after a recent viral story of a middle-aged man, known as Sister Hong, who posed as a woman to have sex with hundreds of men while asking them to send him gifts.
The previous case happened nine years ago when a woman cheated 20 men out of money to help fund the purchase of a flat.
Many people have praised the woman as the 'master of Sister Hong' because she managed to date 20 men in six months.

She asked each of them to send her a new iPhone 7 before selling the gadget to accumulate 120,000 yuan (US$17,000), which she used as the down payment on a flat.

Eleven people, including a former minister, were arrested in Serbia on Friday over a train station disaster in which 16 people died. The concrete canopy of the newly renovated station in the northern city of Novi Sad collapsed on November 1, 2024, in a disaster widely blamed on corruption and poor oversight. Two companies — China Railway International and China Communications Construction (CRI-CCC) — as well as France's Egis and Hungary's Utiber were in charge of the railway station works. According to the prosecutor's office, the two former ministers and three other suspects enabled CRI-CCC to charge more than US$1.2 billion for work and then carry out additional work worth more than US$64 million. This enabled CRI-CCC to obtain an 'illegal financial gain' of more than US$18 million, the statement said. Since the accident, protests have been growing across Serbia, with some bringing hundreds of thousands of people to the streets to demand a transparent investigation and early elections. Thousands of people rallied in new protests late Friday in several cities, including the capital Belgrade, to commemorate nine months since the accident. 'It's a fight against the system, for which human lives are worth less than the amounts thrown around in the public tenders,' one student taking part in a demonstration in the city of Novi Sad said.

The US and more than a dozen of its allies on Thursday accused Iran of attempting to kill or kidnap people in Western countries, including dissidents, journalists and officials. Hong Kong police arrest 82, seize HK$9 million in anti-triad operation
Hong Kong police have arrested 82 people and seized HK$9 million (US$1.1 million) of cash in a citywide anti-triad operation.
