Humidity intensifies Friday's extreme heat
Northern coastal regions will experience hot and humid conditions, while nights and early mornings will remain warm and humid.
High humidity levels will make the air feel 2 to 4 degrees Celsius hotter than the actual shaded temperature.
The EMA also warned of dense morning mist (fog) from 4 AM to 8 AM. This mist could be particularly thick on some roads leading to and from the northern coasts and the Nile Delta, affecting areas north of the country up to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.
The EMA forecasts Greater Cairo to reach a high of 38C and a low of 28C on Friday.

Egypt braces for new 40°C-plus heatwave starting Monday - Society
Just 48 hours after a heatwave receded in Egypt, meteorologists warned of another surge in temperatures, with mercury poised to hit or even exceed the 40-degree Celsius mark, including in the capital, Cairo. Related Egypt to see brief respite from heatwave before temperatures climb again Temperatures are expected to rise gradually across much of the country Monday through Thursday, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority's (EMA) press release on Sunday. Extremely hot and humid weather is expected to prevail in most of the country on Monday, including in the North Coast. According to the EMA, higher levels of humidity would induce a stronger sensation of heat, causing felt temperatures to exceed recorded ones by 2 to 4 degrees. Daytime high temperatures in Greater Cairo are expected to range between 37 and 40 degrees. However, temperatures as felt by individuals could rise to 41 degrees. In Egypt's deep south, the mercury is expected to climb even higher, reaching 38 to 44 degrees, the EMA noted. Outdoor temperatures in northern Upper Egypt are predicted to reach 40-43 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt could experience 42-45 degrees, warned the EMA. Even the typically milder North Coast, including Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh, will experience warmer days, with temperatures anticipated to hit 32-34 degrees, which may feel like 43-37 degrees. Nights and early mornings will offer little respite, remaining hot and humid, the EMA forecast. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:
