Improvements get underway for Dieppe Gardens

If you're down at Dieppe Gardens you might notice some construction fencing go up starting this week.
The city is kicking off improvement work at the memorial lookout area and a nearby stretch of the south pathway along Riverside Drive.
Crews will be replacing the old park lighting with new poles and LED fixtures, pouring new concrete around the eternal flame, and upgrading the adjacent asphalt path.
The work is expected to wrap up by mid-august as long as the weather cooperates.
The park will stay open while the work is happening, but the active construction zone will be fenced off until everything's done.
