The iconic Totalsports Women's Race, South Africa's largest celebration of Women's Month, will feature three 2025 races in three major cities, over three consecutive weeks.
The first race starts in Durban on Sunday, August 3, followed by Cape Town on Saturday, August 9, and ends in Johannesburg on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
For the past 13 years, the event has attracted elite athletes and social runners. It offers athletes a unique opportunity to compete in a world-class, women-only race on South African soil.
Michael Meyer, the managing director of Stillwater Sports, convenes the event, which attracts 30,000 women across the country.

Each year, this iconic event unites over 30,000 women across three major cities – Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg – offering participants the opportunity to take on a scenic 5km or 10km route, whether they run or walk," said Meyer.
"From elite athletes to social runners and walkers, the event aims to provide an inclusive and empowering experience, celebrating the strength and spirit of women in a vibrant and supportive environment.'
Since its inception, the charity of the Totalsports Women's Race is PinkDrive. Athletes can support by entering 10km or 5km events.
PinkDrive will again be flying the flag for the event as the camaraderie of thousands of women comes together to celebrate Women's Month.
Nelius du Preez, PinkDrive Operations Manager, said the Totalsports Women's Race is a truly special event.
'It's beautiful to witness a 'sea of pink' as women come together, filling the streets of three major cities in support of one another - standing united and prioritising their health in an active, uplifting environment,' said Du Preez.
'Thanks to the platform provided by the Totalsports Women's Race, we can continue serving communities across South Africa.
'The funds help us achieve our core purpose: to make a meaningful contribution to preventing as many people as possible from succumbing to breast, cervical, prostate, and testicular cancer.
'The event gives us the perfect platform to spread the powerful message that early detection can save lives.
'Please continue supporting PinkDrive to keep our mobile units on the road and help the medically uninsured.'

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain backs Yusuf Maart

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite has backed Amakhosi's current skipper Yusuf Maart to shine. The 30-year-old midfielder has faced criticism over his leadership over the years however his winning goal against Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup has silenced many. 'That's the nature of the game; you are a hero one minute and then a zero the next minute,' Mashamaite told iDiski Times . 'So you have to know what you are signing yourself up for when you put on your boots. I'm just happy for him to be able to score the winning goal as a captain; that's the stuff of leadership. 'You know the stakes are high, and you raise your hand and say, 'I deserve this armband. I'm showing you guys why the team has believed in him and has chosen me as a leader',' he added. Maart became the first Kaizer Chiefs captain in a decade to lift a cup. Before that, it was Mashamaite, who guided Amakhosi to a double during the 2014/15 season. 'I'm happy for the young man. He deserves all the happiness with all the blame and everything; he's just been grinding and being present. So it should be a moment of redemption for him, finally, and also to put his prints on the history of Kaizer Chiefs,' said Mashamaite. Orlando Pirates set to announce new head coach

Orlando Pirates appear to be closing in on the announcement of a new head coach, with former tactician Rulani Mokwena dominating the rumour mill. Following Jose Riveiro's recent departure to Al Ahly, the Buccaneers have remained tight-lipped about his successor, but a source suggests that Mokwena is firmly in contention. Mokwena, a former Pirates interim head coach and assistant under Milutin Sredojević, has also coached at Chippa United, Mamelodi Sundowns, and most recently, Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club. Now, speculation is intensifying about his potential return to Soweto. The source has hinted strongly at Mokwena's candidacy, though an official announcement has not yet been made. A source close to Mokwena revealed that while broader football matters could be discussed, direct questions about a Pirates reunion were deflected, sparking even more interest. 'At the moment no one wants to talk about it but it's believed that Rulani Mokwena is the coach in line to take over from Jose Riveiro. I can't say everything is finalised at the moment but things are looking good. For now it's more about the interest in the coach and Rulani Mokwena is one of those,' the source confirmed. The Pirates hierarchy seems to be keeping options open, possibly to avoid a last-minute shift in negotiations. With the club's European pre-season tour fast approaching, management appears determined to finalise the new head coach well before departure. The team is scheduled to leave for Germany in the first week of July. And plans are already underway to ensure the new coach is on board by then. 'The team is expected to leave for pre-season in Germany during the first week of July. So they are planning to have the new coach by that time as part of their pre-season. Let's wait and see who it will be. Rulani Mokwena's name is up there on the list,' added the same source. Will Mokwena be a good fit for Orlando Pirates?
