The new tourist attraction is set to cost £120million and will reopen tunnels built between 1940 and 1942 by the Government to protect the public from the Blitz during World War II.
Formerly known as The Kingsway Exchange Tunnels, plans include creating a variety of historical heritage experiences and a cultural, multi-sensory, digital experience.
In addition to the new exhibits and experiences that immerse visitors in the decades gone by, the destination is due to open the world's deepest bar.
The bar is set to be in the deepest part of the tunnels - 30metres below the streets of London - and will have a unique nightlife experience.
The bar will aim to attract both tourists and history enthusiasts keen to see one of the most historically significant sites in the capital.
In total, the tunnels span 90,000 square foot and stretch deeper than most of the city's tube stations.
The tunnels themselves are large - with the height in parts tall enough to fit a double-decker bus - allowing the attraction to restore them as well as create an expansive visitor experience.
The cultural exhibition space is expected to have a World War II memorial dedicated to the 40,000 people who lost their lives during the bombings and an immersive experience that combines history and entertainment, according to Tour and Travel World.
The British Military Intelligence Museum is also expected to relocate into the tunnels to showcase over 300 years of British Military intelligence including rare artefacts and cases of espionage.
By 1942 the construction of the tunnels was complete but the Blitz were no longer occurring and so the tunnels were never used for shelter.
World's most luxurious apocalypse-proof bunkers
But two years later, in 1944, the tunnels housed spy headquarters when James Bond author Ian Fleming worked in them for naval intelligence.
The tunnels are believed to have inspired Q Branch - where 007 goes to get his specialist equipment.
They were also home to a special bunker that would protect Government officials in the case of a nuclear attack.
Currently the tunnels boast a maze of old generators, pipes, rusty bolts, bundles of cables and switches and levers.

There are also the remains of a staff bar and canteen doe the 200 workers who used the tunnels in the 1950s and 1960s when it was a telephone exchange.
The project aims to revitalise the historic spot and hopes that up to three million people will pay over £30 each year to visit the new attraction.
The tunnels are located between London's West End and the Square Mile - stretching between Fulwood Place and Furnival Street, deep below Chancery Lane tube station.
The team behind the project includes one of the UK's leading architectural firms - WilkonsonEyre - who were also responsible for the major restoration of London's Battersea Power Station.
In the mean time, a beautiful new water attraction will also soon open in Europe with lagoons, 40C pools and waterfalls.
Plus, London's newest tourist town is in a 'forgotten' district and is a £1.3bn attraction with hotels, theatre and rooftop bar.

Full list of who is eligible for a free UK bus pass and when to apply

Depending on your age and circumstances, you may be eligible for a free bus pass. Free bus travel is available across the UK, though only certain groups qualify for it. Your age and personal circumstances will determine whether you're entitled to a complimentary bus pass. ‌ This scheme aims to support people who may struggle to pay transport costs. Two types of free bus passes exist in the UK, both valid for local bus services: passes for older people and passes for people with disabilities. ‌ But who precisely qualifies for these passes and what's the application process? ‌ Older person's bus pass According to the Government website, older people in England can obtain their bus pass upon reaching State Pension age, which currently stands at 66 for both women and men. In Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, however, applications can be made from age 60. London residents can also secure free bus travel from 60 through the 60+ London Oyster photocard available via the TFL website, which includes complimentary travel on trains and additional public transport services. Age UK indicates that other areas might offer travel discounts for those over 60. "It's a good idea to check with your local council to see what help is available," the charity recommends. For further information about applying for the older person's bus pass, visit the Government website here. ‌ Disabled person's bus pass England doesn't have a centralised provider for disabled person's bus passes. You'll need to contact your local council to establish eligibility and submit an application. You can apply for a disabled person's bus pass on by checking your local council. The general criteria in England for a disabled person's bus pass is if you're aged five or over and you: Are profoundly or severely deaf Are severely sight impaired (blind) or sight impaired (partially sighted) Would be refused a licence to drive a motor vehicle, should an application be made under Part three of the Road Transport Act 1988, under section 92 of the Act (physical fitness), otherwise than on the grounds of persistent misuse of drugs or alcohol Are without speech Have a disability, or injury, which has a substantial and long-term effect on your ability to walk Have no arms or have long-term loss of the use of both arms Have a learning disability, that is, a state of arrested or incomplete development of mind which started before adulthood and includes significant impairment of intelligence and social functioning Your condition will need to be permanent or last at least 12 months. The post told customers: 'We are sorry to let you know… This store is closing. Thank you to our wonderful colleagues for your support throughout our time here in the local community.' The shop has launched a huge closing down sale, with all items now 50% off. Customers have taken to social media to share their disappointment that the store is set to close. One customer said: 'So sorry to hear that you are closing, you are all great staff, you all helped me when I was not very well in your shop thank you all again xx.' Another said: 'Shame to hear, great bunch of staff always happy and helpful.' A third added: 'What a shame, sorry to hear this.' Two other stores have also announced they will be closing. The store in Market Drayton, Shropshire will also shut its doors for the last time on September 20. Plus The Original Factory Shop in Nairn, Scotland, has also been earmarked for closure. Meanwhile, at least four The Original Factory stores closed last month. Among them was the shop in Staveley, Chesterfield, which shut its doors for good on July 12. The shops in Caernarfon, Wales, and Bridlington, Yorkshire, closed down on July 20. Plus a final store, in Cupar, Fife, was shuttered on July 27. In total, 26 shops have closed or are set to shut this year. The Original Factory Shop did not respond to our request for comment. What is happening at TOFS? The Original Factory Shop was bought by Modella Capital, a private equity firm, in February. Modella is known for taking on struggling retailers and has also recently bought Hobbycraft and WHSmith's high street shops. The firm quickly launched a restructuring effort to renegotiate rents at 88 The Original Factory Shop stores. At the end of April, Modella drew up plans to initiate a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) for the retailer. Companies often use CVAs to avoid insolvency, which could otherwise force stores to close or trigger the collapse of the entire business. They allow firms to explore different options, such as negotiating reduced rents with landlords. But The Original Factory Shop previously told The Press and Journal that a 'number of loss-making stores would have to close' in the restructuring. Do you have a money problem that needs sorting?
