Ulyanov criticizes negative approach of Western countries towards Iran's nuclear program

Saba Yemen18-03-2025

Vienna - Saba:
Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, criticized the "passive" approach of Western countries towards Iran's nuclear activities.
Ulyanov said at a press conference: "In fact, we must admit that Western countries are pressuring Iran to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty."
Ulyanov's remarks follow a report by Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, on Iran's high levels of uranium enrichment and the concerns expressed by Western countries.
In his opening remarks at the previous meeting of the Board of Governors, Grossi claimed that "since the previous report, Iran's reserves of uranium up to 60% purity U-235 have increased from 182 kilograms in the previous quarter to 275 kilograms."

Iranian Intelligence Minister: We have obtained treasure trove of Zionist nuclear documents

Tehran – Saba: Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib confirmed on Sunday that his country has obtained a "treasure trove of strategic, operational, and scientific information from the Zionist entity." In an interview with Iranian television, Khatib revealed details of the intelligence operation to obtain strategic and sensitive documents related to the Zionist entity. He considered that the documents obtained by Iranian intelligence regarding the Israeli enemy's nuclear projects and facilities "strengthen Iran's offensive capability." He explained, "What happened is a very significant intelligence event, as the matter cannot be reduced to obtaining only thousands of documents. We obtained complete nuclear documents, as well as documents about the Israeli enemy's relations with Western countries and the United States." The Iranian Intelligence Minister spoke about the execution of the operation, saying that "these documents were transferred into Iran safely," indicating that "the methods of transporting the documents into Iran are just as important as the documents themselves," but he declined to reveal the methods of transporting the documents at this time. He stated, "The operation took place some time ago, but we preferred to wait before announcing the news to ensure the safety of the operation," stressing that "the documents will be revealed soon." Khatib stated that the operation "was complex, extensive, and multifaceted, as it was planned by attracting elements to gain access to the required sources." Commenting on this, Israeli enemy media outlets stated that "the timing of Iran's announcement of its acquisition of documents related to Israeli nuclear technology is linked to the negotiations with Washington." These leaks come at a time when the region is witnessing escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, amid the enemy's threats to bomb nuclear sites, and amid ongoing indirect nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington, in an attempt to reach an agreement regarding the nuclear program. Volodin: Missile production plans in Ukraine dragging Germany into conflict with Russia

Moscow - Saba: Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced on Saturday that missile production plans in Ukraine are increasingly pushing Germany toward conflict with Russia. Sputnik News Agency quoted Volodin as saying in a letter addressed to Bundestag President Julia Klöckner and leaders of political parties in the German parliament: "We know that the German government is planning to start missile production in Ukraine, and in doing so, it is increasingly dragging Germany into military action against Russia. You understand what this could lead to." The Russian State Duma Speaker asserted that the ruling elite in Germany is currently creating the preconditions for escalating the situation, provoking clashes between the two countries. He added: "The question is, do the German people want this or not? We don't want it, but if it happens, we are ready." The German Defense Ministry announced at the end of May, following a meeting between German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and his Ukrainian counterpart, Rustam Umerov, that Germany and Ukraine had signed an agreement to finance the production of long-range weapons within Ukraine. It was also announced that approximately €5 billion ($5.7 billion) in military aid would be allocated to Kyiv, including the provision of air defense systems and ammunition. No precise details were disclosed regarding the type of systems or the value of the contracts. Russia had previously sent a memorandum to NATO countries regarding the flow of Western weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russian forces. Lavrov previously indicated that the United States and NATO were directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, "not only by sending weapons, but also by training military personnel in Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries." Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously asserted that the West's supply of weapons to Ukraine contradicts a settlement, does not contribute to negotiations, and will even have a negative impact.
