Raja Dheer Sen Marg, between Captain Gaur Marg and Sant Nagar Traffic Signal, will be reserved for pedestrians during the event. Only vehicles belonging to local residents will be allowed between Captain Gaur Marg T-point and Sant Nagar Traffic Signal.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, including Captain Gaur Marg, Outer Ring Road, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg.
Police have urged devotees and visitors to use public transport, especially the Delhi Metro. Those arriving by Metro should get down at NSIC Okhla station and take Captain Gaur Marg to the temple. The Traffic Police has announced special arrangements and restrictions from 8 a.m. on August 16 to 2 a.m. on August 17 for Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at the ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash. During this period, the movement of heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles will be banned on key stretches.
Traffic diversions will be in place: Vehicles from Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Inner Ring Road) towards Captain Gaur Marg Ring Road Crossing will be sent via Ashram or Moolchand.
Vehicles from Outer Ring Road towards Captain Gaur Marg Outer Ring Road Crossing will be redirected to Modi Mill Flyover.
Traffic from Outer Ring Road at Paras Chowk will be diverted to Modi Mill Flyover or Chirag Dilli.
Vehicles from BRT Central School Flyover will be sent towards Chirag Dilli.
People are urged to use the Metro or other public transport instead of private vehicles and to follow police instructions to avoid inconvenience.
Separately, the Traffic Police has also announced diversions for August 17 in Rohini for a special programme. Roads with full or partial closures will include Bhagwan Mahavir Road, Bawana Road, Kanjhawala Road, Kanjhawala Link Road, and Badsha Dahiya Marg to maintain safety and smooth traffic flow during the event.

Now, 100-metre FOB Connects Mumbai Metro 3 with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal 2
Mumbai: Catching a flight from Terminal 2 just got easier. A newly constructed 100-metre Foot Over Bridge (FOB) now links the CSMIA–T2 Metro Station on Line 3 directly to the airport terminal, allowing passengers to skip road traffic and walk straight from the Metro to the check-in counters. Built 23 metres above ground with strong structural steel, the bridge connects Lift Entry/Exit A1 of the Metro station at ground level directly into the terminal building. The 4.3-metre-wide and 3-metre-high structure sits above the ongoing Metro Line 7A station works, ensuring faster, safer, and seamless transfer for air travellers. "100-metre-long FOB to CSMIAirport T2 from underground Metro 3 station is opened. This facilitates much-needed last-mile connectivity to Mumbai Airport from the Metro station. Delhi couple dies after hit by shooting stones in Himachal's Kinnaur
A young couple from Delhi was killed when the two were hit by shooting stones while they were on their way to Yulla Kanda Krishna temple in the Rora Valley of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami on Saturday, officials said. Torrential rains over the past few days have thrown life out of gear and impacted connectivity as 374 roads remain blocked, including the Chandigarh-Manali four-lane highway for a few hours and NH-5 in Kinnaur. The Chandigarh-Manali highway was blocked due to a landslide near Mandi's Aut, Kainchi Mor and Jogni Mata. Water from the Jogni drain flowed on to the highway before connectivity was restored around 1pm. (Deepak Sansta/HT) 73 trekkers, 34 villagers rescued The National Disaster Response Force rescued 73 trekkers and 34 villagers trapped after a cloudburst in the Miyar Valley of Lahaul-Spiti district, officials said. In a joint operation with the NDRF, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and hikers, the 73 trekkers and 34 villagers, including seven women and a child, were safely evacuated across the Changut and Karpat nullah. All 73 trekkers, including 13 women, and 34 villagers were taken to Udaipur in Lahaul-Spiti via Shakoli. The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Lahaul-Spiti, said the cloudburst occurred in Miyar Valley on August 12 followed by a flash flood the next day, washing away temporary bridges in the area. The NDRF's mountain rescue team (MRT) was despatched from Karga in Keylong. Later, ITBP and civil administration teams from Udaipur joined the operation. The 73 trekkers were stranded at an altitude of 13,000 feet as the temporary bridge in Thanapattan area was washed away. Further along the route, three more bridges on Karpat, Changut and Urgos nullah were washed away. Landslides blocked the road at many places, cutting off the rural areas. More rain forecast till August 21 According to the meteorological department, rain will continue in many parts of the state till August 21. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert in Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Bilaspur and Solan districts. Moderate rain is predicted in Hamirpur, Una, Kullu, Shimla and Sirmaur, while rain is also likely at isolated places in Kinnaur district.
