The group plans to meet on West 35th Street outside the Coterie assisted living facility in Hudson Yards, where Williams is reportedly staying.
The star has been in a legal guardianship since 2022, which controls her finances and health, People reported. She was diagnosed with dementia last year.
A slew of Change.org petitions call for Williams' release from guardianship, including one with over 26,000 signatures. A GoFundMe fundraiser has raised nearly $50,000 for Williams' legal efforts.
'Her situation is not just a personal struggle but also an issue that resonates with many who believe in the importance of personal freedom and family ties,' organizers of a Change.org petition wrote.

Black and Smith got married in September 2023 at the Malibu Dream Resort in front of their 150 closest family members and friends. They spoke with PEOPLE about their special day and the thoughtful theme they had in mind. "Our last name is Black, so we always use it as a play on words," Black said of the event, which included elements of their shared Black culture. "We're from the South and we have these traditions that are very near and dear to our hearts that our parents and grandparents have shared. Our wedding is an homage to our ancestors with some elegant moments we've curated and loved as a couple... And it was better than I imagined." Smith debuted her baby bump in May, announcing her pregnancy with ESSENCE. She was hesitant to have kids since she was focused on her acting career, had fibroids, and suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, Black changed her mind. "I didn't want kids at all. I aspired to be a rich auntie. I did not meet my husband until well into my 30s, so I had already decided," Smith told ESSENCE exclusively. "And then when he came into my life, and you meet a man who is responsible and a leader who takes charge and wants to be a father, wants to have a family, my mind changed as we grew and as we became a couple and married." She continued, "He was the main reason I wanted a child. I said, 'This would be a good experience with you as my partner and husband.' So I didn't anticipate having kids at all, and now I want as many as I can have." The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! Black is also looking forward to parenthood. "My biological father was very absent in my life. So personally, it's something that I've always looked forward to. It's something that I've always dreamed of, how I was going to connect with my kid, or foster their dreams, so I'm elated," he told the publication. The BET Awards are airing live on Monday, June 9 from Los Angeles' Peacock Theater on BET. Read the original article on People

Desi Arnaz Jr. Breaks Silence on His Father's Demons and the Fallout From 'I Love Lucy'
Desi Arnaz Jr. has spent most of his life avoiding the spotlight that once lit up every corner of his childhood. But People reported that in a rare interview for the new biography Desi Arnaz: The Man Who Invented Television by Todd S. Purdum, he opens up about growing up in the eye of a cultural storm, and the toll it took. Born into America's most famous television family, Desi Jr. was thrust into the public eye before he could walk. His birth was written into I Love Lucy, and he grew up on the set as his parents, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, redefined entertainment. But while audiences adored their onscreen chemistry, their real-life relationship was crumbling behind closed doors. 'It wasn't good for anyone,' Desi Jr. said of the constant arguing. He and his sister, Lucie, vividly remember the moment their parents told them the marriage was over. Lucie described their mother as deeply sensitive, often emotionally distant when hurt, while Desi Sr. was volatile but quick to move on—an emotional storm with no apology. The children's backstage experiences were just as complex. Lucie recalled hiding under bleachers when introduced to the audience. Desi Jr., by contrast, embraced the attention. Still, the pressure of fame left deep marks. Both siblings struggled to find stability in the shadow of legends. One of the most poignant moments in the book comes when Desi Jr. recounts helping his father seek treatment for alcoholism. After battling his own addictions, he guided his father toward rehab in 1985—a move that may have saved his life. 'He didn't stop drinking,' Desi Jr. said. 'He didn't know what the real poison was.' This biography isn't just about a television pioneer. It's about the fractured reality of fame and the complicated love between parents and children navigating a world built on performance. Desi Arnaz Jr. Breaks Silence on His Father's Demons and the Fallout From 'I Love Lucy' first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 6, 2025
