A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS Postponed to 2026 Release

Highlights During Warner Bros. Discovery's Upfront presentation, we learned that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will now premiere in 2026.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms The Game of Thrones prequel series was originally slated to debut in late 2025.
Game of Thrones A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon Season 3 could potentially air in the same year. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Say it ain't so — we'll have to wait longer to watch the onscreen adventures of Dunk and Egg. Well, perhaps not that much longer. Warner Bros. Discovery's Upfront presentation unveiled a first look at the Game of Thrones prequel series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms , starring Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan 'Dunk' the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg.
Said first look concluded with a title card with the year '2026' emblazoned on it. Initially, WBD planned to release the six-episode first season in late 2025. HBO content chairman and CEO Casey Bloys told Upfront attendees that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will premiere in the winter of 2026. So, if you think about it, this postponement might only amount to a few months.

Here's a synopsis for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms per WBD:
'A century before the events of Game of Thrones , two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros … a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.' Cast and Crew
In addition to Claffey and Ansell, the series stars Finn Bennett as Prince Aerion 'Brightflame' Targaryen, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel 'The Laughing Storm' Baratheon, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Sam Spruell as Prince Maekar Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Prince Baelor 'Breakspear' Targaryen, Henry Ashton as Prince Daeron 'The Drunken' Targaryen, Edward Ashley as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Shaun Thomas as Ser Raymun 'The Reluctant' Fossoway and Youssef Kerkour as Steely Pate.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is adapted from George R.R. Martin's Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas. Martin, Ira Parker and Martin Parker have penned the series, with direction from Sarah Adina Smith and Owen Harris. Ira Parker and Martin executive produce alongside House of the Dragon 's Ryan Condal.
As of writing, we don't have a premiere date or window for House of the Dragon Season 3, although production is underway. It was purported to wrap in time for a 2026 release, but who knows if that will change now that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been delayed. Our guess is the season is still on track to release next year.

Watch: Sydney Sweeney says 'Cassie is crazy' in 'Euphoria' Season 3

June 6 (UPI) -- Actress Sydney Sweeney is teasing Season 3 of Euphoria. She portrays Cassie in the HBO series, which premiered in 2019. She talked about filming the upcoming third season on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Thursday. "Cassie is crazy," she said. "Oh, she's even worse. She's even worse." Fallon then showed an image of the star in an apparent wedding dress, but Sweeney said she could not provide additional details about whether or not her character will tie the knot. Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike starred in Season 2. The actress, 27, also stars in the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller Echo Valley opposite Julianne Moore. "You know, when I first read the script, I was completely blown away by how Brad [Ingelsby], the writer, just wove in all of these crazy turns that I didn't even expect, and usually, I'm pretty good at figuring it out, and I did not see this coming," Sweeney told Fallon. "Claire, my character, shows up at her mom's doorstep, played by Julianne Moore, covered in blood," she added, describing the film. "And what follows is a endless amount of twists and turns that kind of show how much and how far a mother would go for her daughter." Domhnall Gleeson and Kyle MacLachlan also star in the film, which arrives on the streamer June 13. On Wednesday, Sweeney attended the New York premiere of Echo Valley. She wore a strapless, red corseted dress.

Harry Potter actor talks about shooting DC superhero show in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Actor Freddie Stroma's latest role as the unhinged superhero Vigilante in HBO's Peacemaker may not get him recognized on the street much. That's because his costume covers his face for much of his screentime. But once the mask comes off, you may remember him as Cormac McLaggen in the Harry Potter movies or Luke in Pitch Perfect. Stroma was in town for Epic Cons: Savannah Friday to meet and greet fans. But it wasn't his first visit to the Hostess City. Back in November, the cast of Peacemaker was in the Coastal Empire to shoot part of season 2. Star John Cena was spotted at Leopold's Ice cream and director James Gunn stopped by Odin & Sons Comics and Collectibles. When WSAV News 3 caught up with Stroma at Epic Cons: Savannah, we asked him if he was part of the Savannah production. 'I wasn't filming myself, but I came down anyway. It was amazing. I don't think I can say much, but we had a really good time. I think James [Gunn] is quoted as saying it was the best day of filming he's ever had. I had a great time just checking out Savannah. It's beautiful.' Star of Gilmore Girls reminisces about playing baseball in Savannah And while he spoke to WSAV, Stroma said Gunn shot some of the new Superman movie in Savannah as well. WSAV News 3 asked the Savannah Film Commission to confirm, and they told us that some pickup shots for the movie were done here but it's uncertain whether any of them will be in the final cut. Let WSAV know if you see any Savannah shots when the movie premiers on July 11! Stroma wasn't able to divulge any secrets from season 2 of Peacemaker either. But he did offer this: '[You'll see] a lot of high jinks and a lot of lunacy.' Season 2 of Peacemaker premieres August 21 on HBO. Epic Cons: Savannah continues through Sunday. Get your tickets here. Interactive Entertainment announced Game of Thrones: War For Resteros is a s a classic, premium real-time strategy PC game set in the vast world of Westeros. Players take command of one of the Great Houses – or the Night King himself – setting out to conquer the Seven Kingdoms solo, or in exciting and challenging free-for-all multiplayer. 'Game of Thrones: War for Westeros takes fans back to the Seven Kingdoms. This time, you're not watching the 'Game of Thrones' – you're playing it.' said Ryan McMahon, Game Director at PlaySide Studios. 'War for Westeros puts you in the seat of power, whether you're leading the Starks, Targaryens, or Lannisters, or even commanding the Night King and his army of the dead, you'll wield real power and rewrite the fate of the realm.' Featuring a variety of location from the series, players can jump into skirmish matches or take on a longer war across the Seven Kingdoms, both in solo and in multiplayer. According to the developers, every decision will matter and every battle carries forward. Players can deploy infantry, cavalry, siege engines, giants, and dragons to break enemy lines as they work to outplay and outmaneuver rivals with inspiring hero abilities and the ruthless instincts of a true war commander.
