See If Your Ford or Lincoln Is Among 850K in a Fuel Pump Recall

Yahoo14-07-2025
Ford is recalling 850,318 vehicles with an issue that could cause a low-pressure fuel pump failure, resulting in the engine stalling while driving.
The recall population includes certain 2021–23 Ford Bronco, Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs and Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450, and F-550 SD trucks, and 2021–22 Lincoln Navigator, Ford F-150, and Mustang vehicles.
Ford is still working on a remedy for the recall issue and will notify owners when a solution is found.
Ford has recalled 850,318 vehicles due to a potential issue that can cause the low-pressure fuel pump to fail, resulting in the engine stalling while driving. The automaker said it is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to the recall.
According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall population includes some 2021–23 Ford Bronco, Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs and Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450, and F-550 SD trucks, and 2021–22 Lincoln Navigator, Ford F-150, and Mustang vehicles. Of the total recall population, Ford estimates 10 percent may be affected by the issue.
The issue, according to the recall documents, is twofold. One issue stems from contamination of the jet pump in low-fuel situations, which can lead to loss of fuel pressure and flow from the low-pressure fuel pump. The other stems from reduced fuel pump internal clearances, which can increase internal friction and sensitivity to vapor lock. Without proper pressure, the flow and fuel delivery to the engine can be starved, leading the engine to stall while driving.
Customers may become aware of the fuel pump issue through poor engine performance, including misfiring or running rough. The check engine light may also illuminate. Recall documents show that fuel pump failure is more likely to occur in low-fuel or warm-weather situations.
Ford is still working on a remedy for the recall issue. Initial owner notification letters will be mailed on July 14, with secondary letters planned for when a remedy is available. Owners can check the NHTSA recalls site to see if their vehicle is part of the recall population.

Sherrod Brown Announces Senate Run In Ohio

Former Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio officially launched his campaign for another U.S. Senate term on Monday by citing 'reckless tariffs and economic chaos' under Donald Trump's administration. 'I didn't plan to run for office again, but when I see what's going on, I know I can do something about it for Ohio,' Brown said in a video posted online, citing the GOP's massive law that slashed Medicaid to finance tax cuts for the wealthy. Standing up for workers. Treating everyone with dignity and respect. Working as hard as possible for the people of Ohio.I've tried to live my life by those principles. But these days that's not what's happening in Washington—so I'm running for Senate. — Sherrod Brown (@SherrodBrown) August 18, 2025 The 72-year-old Ohio Democrat lost to Republican businessman Bernie Moreno in a hard-fought election last year after serving three terms in the Senate. Like other Democratic candidates, he's now hoping that an anti-Trump backlash will help send him back to Washington. 'For the past eight months, all they've done is make things worse for Ohioans, handing over your hard-earned money to corporations and to billionaires,' Brown said in the video. Senate Democrats are facing a challenging map next year, but Brown's entrance into the race, as well as former Gov. Roy Cooper announcing a Senate bid in North Carolina, increases their odds of retaking the majority next year. Still, Republicans have an advantage in a red state like Ohio, where Trump is popular. The Senate Leadership Fund, the main Senate GOP super PAC, attacked Brown as a 'career politician' who is 'too extreme' for the Buckeye State. This Rare Ferrari Daytona SP3 Shattered an Auction Record

Auction houses sold lots of expensive cars this past weekend during Monterey Car Week. Perhaps none more surprisingly expensive than this, a one-off Ferrari Daytona SP3 that sold for $26 million at the RM Sotheby's auction. That's over 10 times the original MSRP. It was for charity, though, with proceeds benefitting the Ferrari Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports education. The car also represented the last chance to buy a new SP3. The Daytona SP3 debuted as part of Ferrari's "Icona" series in 2021, with the automaker building just 599 examples at a starting price of around $2.25 million. Essentially a LaFerrari minus the hybrid system and featuring new bodywork inspired by the P3 and P4 prototypes of the 1960s, the SP3 was immediately a huge hit with collectors, with examples trading for far above MSRP. Though not typically 10 times MSRP. This one is a brand-new car. Ferrari made it just for this occasion, with a bespoke exposed carbon fiber and yellow livery with the Ferrari logo running the length of the car, plus a custom interior filled with prancing horse motifs. Photo by: Ferrari RM Sotheby's confirmed that this is the most expensive new Ferrari ever sold at auction, and it was its biggest result from the Monterey event. The next priciest car was another Ferrari, an F40 LM that sold for a little over $11 million. A bargain, relatively speaking. In fact, this Ferrari was the most expensive car sold at any auction this weekend. As Hagerty reports , the next most expensive car was a 1961 Ferrari 250 California Spyder Competizione that went for a bit over $25 million at the Gooding Christie's event.
