Suntory Bar at Prefecture 48
The Japanese spirit company has chosen the city's only Japanese culture and dining precinct, Prefecture 48 on Sussex Street, as host for the residency. The moody Whisky Thief bar with gorgeous historic artwork and marbletop counters is the place to be when you clock off. Choose between timeless highballs, signature serves, special cocktails, RTDs, The Premium Malt beer and whisky flights crafted by the team at Prefecture 48 in collaboration with Suntory.
The must-try tipple of the affair is the Highball. While it'll be dished up with a range of Suntory whiskies (it's what Suntory's known for in Japan), we say try the spotlight cocktail, the Hakushu Highball, first. Not only is it a refreshing mix of Hakushu Distiller's Reserve, soda and mint, but it's been paired with an exclusive snack from the genius Michelin Star chef Tetsuya Wakuda (you know, from *the* Tetsuya's). Now's the chance to sample Wakuda's cuisine since his eminent Sydney restaurant closed last year – that's a golden opportunity if we ever did see one.
What else is on the drinks menu? There's a Japanese Slipper with a Haku Vodka twist, and a Maker's Mark Gold Rush with honey and lemon. Prefecture 48 is whipping up a boozy affogato-inspired twist with Hibiki Harmony and a Kyoho Manhattan with a little bit of Sichuan heat.
Keep your eye out for special nights across the three months – a handful of international bartenders are touching down in Sydney express from Japan for brilliant takeovers and out-of-this-world tipples.

M&S issues 'alert' to those who want to try viral Strawberry & Creme Sandwich
A Marks & Spencer sandwich which split the public will be removed from shelves shortly, with customers having only a few days left to try the Strawberry & Creme item Shoppers don't have long left if they want to try the latest viral M&S sandwich. The company has confirmed the summer sandwich will be removed from shelves in the coming days, meaning those who want to try the Strawberry & Creme sandwich will have just a little more time to try it. A statement from Marks & Spencer has confirmed the shop will no longer be selling the sweet sandwich. An "alert" was issued to their Instagram page, with many shoppers left heartbroken to know the sandwich will be leaving shelves shortly. Some are hoping to see the return of the viral sandwich next year. Whether the Strawberry & Creme flavour returns is yet to be seen, but M&S were a much talked about brand over summer thanks to the controversial sandwich. A post to their Instagram reads: "Strawberry and Creme Sandwich ALERT. THE summer sandwich sensation - our Red Diamond™ Strawberry & Creme Sandwich will only be available for a few more days "Yes, that's right – it's your last chance to get hold of our limited-edition sarnie so make sure you RUN and don't walk to your local Foodhall to grab a few slices of M&S Food history!" Fans were thrilled to see the sandwich was still available, albeit for only a few more days. One wrote: "Loved it!" Another added: "Please do this one again next year, it was delicious." A third added: "I don't know why this got so much hate, me & my kids shared one the other day and thought it was delicious!!" Not everyone was keen to get their hands on the Strawberry & Creme sandwich before it left shelves. One Instagram user simply commented: "Nope!" Another joked: "Nah, I'm good, ta." But others were left hoping the sandwich makes a glorious return next year, with the M&S summer selection a hit with some. One user even claimed they managed to put their dislike of strawberries aside for the sandwich. They wrote: "Please bring them back next year. I don't even like strawberries but I loved these (and your red diamond strawberries)." Another added: "Had one the other week finally managed to get my hands on one and I really enjoyed it was very tasty." A third shared: "I really like it, please bring it back next year! I will have to buy my last one this Saturday then." The Strawberry and Creme sandwich, launched on June 25, consists of ripe strawberries and whipped cream cheese nestled between two slices of sweetened bread. According to M&S, this unique creation draws inspiration from Japanese "sweet sandos" or fruit sandwiches, which have been gaining popularity in London's trendy Japanese patisseries. M&S explained: "Inspired by the Japanese sweet sandos, recently spotted popping up in London's trendiest Japanese patisseries, our product developers have long dreamed of creating a dessert sandwich."

First look at Edinburgh Murrayfield Oasis setup as fans descend for mega gigs
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info As Oasis prepare to take to the stage in Edinburgh on Friday for the first of three sell-out shows in the capital, work is taking shape around the venue and fans are starting to arrive. The Gallagher brothers will be performing at BT Murrayfield on Friday, August 8, Saturday, August 9 and Tuesday, August 12, as part of their highly anticipated reunion tour announced last year. Ahead of Friday's show, fans can get their hands on official merchandise including clothing and accessories as people from all over the world descend on Scotland's capital. Venue maps, lists of prohibited items and colour-coordinated turnstile signs are already clearly visible outside the stadium as we took a look around the venue on Thursday afternoon to see preparations get underway. We spoke to fans from Korea and Belgium who have made the long journey to see their favourite band perform live and people could be seen purchasing all kinds of merchandise at designated stalls. In the background, work continued on setting up the stage and the surrounding area and huge food and drink stalls could be seen in the distance as fans will be eagerly waiting to see what they can munch on before the show. Unfortunately, access to the food and drink stalls was not possible ahead of the gig but it is understood there will be plenty of options for those making the most of the occasion and grabbing a bite to eat upon arrival. A range of food and drinks options that cater for several dietary requirements will be available on each night of the tour. If you're a gin or fizz lover, head to the Edinburgh Gin Bar or Prosecco Bar at the venue's West Fan Village. Guinness lovers will also be well looked after, with several bars dedicated to the black stuff located around the stadium. Food options range from everything between Japanese food and Greek street snacks to Italian and Indian, and many of the stands offer veggie or vegan, or even gluten-free options. Those with more of a sweet tooth may even decide to head for the Churros or Pick & Mix stand, which are also dotted around the venue.
