Danny Miller explains why he doesn't let his kids watch Emmerdale
The actor admitted on Loose Women that he doesn't want his kids witnessing his Emmerdale character, Aaron Dingle, who is about to get married.
Emmerdale 's Danny Miller teased his character's upcoming wedding on Loose Women, and also confessed a 'confused' reason as to why he doesn't let his children watch him on the ITV programme.
The actor was made a permanent cast member of Emmerdale in 2023, having made his soap debut in 2008 as Aaron Dingle. Since then he's tackled some heartbreaking storylines, and was also part of a beloved Dales couple with Robert Sugden where fans lovingly labelled them as "Robron", reported Manchester Evening News.
Aaron recently struck up a relationship with mysterious newcomer John Sugden. In upcoming episodes, the pair's wedding continues to be put into jeopardy as John's secrets begin to come out.
Emmerdale fans saw recently that John accidentally killed Nate Robinson, but he panics, as the lake where the body is buried begins to be dredged just as the wedding is about to take place.
Not only that, but his ex-fiancé Aidan Moore unexpectedly awoke from his long coma and John is now in constant fear that the truth about how he got there will be revealed.
During Tuesday's (May 27) instalment of Loose Women, lead panellist Ruth Langsford was joined by Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Denise Welch spoke to Danny ahead of the anticipated Emmerdale wedding ceremony.
He shared: "It's a typical soap wedding, We always like to put in surprises here and there.
"I think what's interesting about this particular wedding is we shot it away from kind of soap format...
"This fantastic idea that it's all from John's imagination of what could go wrong and then back in real time... Oliver Farnworth who plays John Sugden delivers another amazing performance.
"There's a few surprises along the way, so I'm looking forward to seeing what people think of it."
Coleen then congratulated the actor as he had announced that him and his partner Steph are expecting their third child.
He replied: "We had a day where we thought we were never going to have a baby and now we've got three, and Steph is the most amazing wife."
When asked what his children make of him being on Emmerdale, Danny responded: "We went to a superstore yesterday and there was magazines all over, and they were spotting me on all of them because of the wedding which was really surreal.
"I tend not to let them watch Emmerdale, I mean it's on too late they should be in bed. Also, they might just be a bit confused that I'm not kissing mummy but I'm kissing another man.
"Certainly the other side of it is my character tends to be in a lot of fights and stuff, and I just don't want them to see that because I don't want them to think I'm that kind of person.
"I don't want them to say that's what you do when you go to class and punch somebody because you don't like their opinion."

This Morning will remain in its 10am-12.30pm slot on weekdays throughout the year. Loose Women will be in the 12.30-1.30pm slot, again on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year. The changes will take effect from January 2026. Lorraine added: "So, when I'm sitting there and I look at something and I think, "Gosh, what an absolute k**b that person is," or how silly they are, I say it and I don't realise I've said it. So I have to watch." This comes after it was reported that Lorraine had refused an 'insulting offer' from bosses to sign a new contract. A source explained that she declined the opportunity to merge her daytime show with Good Morning Britain, and was 'prepared to walk away.' Iconic TV show to return after 22 years - with Holly Willoughby lined up to host
Iconic British TV show Blind Date is reportedly set to return to screens 22 years after it last aired - with a huge twist Iconic dating show Blind Date is reportedly set to return to screens 22 years after the late Cilla Black 's final episode. For months, it was rumoured the ITV show would be revived on the BBC. However, in a huge shake-up, the reboot will reportedly air on streaming service Disney +. The ITV show originally aired on Saturday nights from 1985-2003, and saw hundreds of couples meet for the first time. Like most dating shows, many didn't last past the studio doors - but some made it all the way to the alter. Now, a new bunch of singletons will be hoping to find their perfect date. A star studded line-up of female hosts are being eyed up to step into Cilla's shoes, including Holly Willoughby, Davina McCall and The Traitors ' Claudia Winkleman. Although there will be some "modern twists" to the revival - bosses are said to be keen to keep some of the original features that viewers know and love. Of course, they couldn't get rid of the iconic sliding wall. 'Although there's likely to be some modern twists, the bosses very much want to keep the essence of the original," an insider told The Sun. 'There'll be key elements returning, including the famous sliding wall. 'Plus there will be a prize up for grabs of a wedding package, which echoes Cilla's famous gag whenever couples had enjoyed a successful date, and she used to ask, 'Do I need to buy an 'at for the wedding?'' However, it is unknown whether the show will provide a replacement for voiceover Graham Skidmore, aka 'Our Graham'. The Mirror has contacted Disney + for comment. It won't be the first time the show has been revived. In 2017, the show return on Channel 5, two years after the death of original host Cilla Black - with Paul O'Grady replacing the late host. Melanie Sykes also joined the show as a replacement for 'Our Graham' providing the iconic voiceover. The show ran for four series until June 2019. Original voiceover Graham died in 2021 at age 90, seven years after the death of host Cilla Black in 2015. Black died at her holiday home in the Spanish town of Estepona, aged 72.
