Joao Felix leaves Chelsea to join Al-Nassr
The 25-year-old Portugal international moved to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid last summer, having had an earlier spell with the Blues on loan in 2023.
He made 20 appearances for Enzo Maresca's side in the first half of the season – but started only three Premier League games – before leaving for AC Milan on loan in January.
'We thank Joao for his efforts across his two spells at the club and wish him well for the future,' Chelsea said in the statement.
Felix has signed a two-year contract with his new club. Al-Nassr have reportedly paid an initial £26million transfer fee, although add-ons could see that rise as high as £43million – close to the sum Chelsea paid Atletico for his services last summer.
He joins his Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, who announced his arrival with a short video on social media in which Felix said: 'I am here to spread joy. Let's win together.'

While Owen is optimistic for Arsenal and Chelsea, he is less hopeful for Man City, who finished third last season as they chased a record-extending fifth successive Premier League title. 'Liverpool won the league by ten points last season despite getting two points from the last four games when they weren't really trying,' Owen said on talkSPORT. 'I just think Man City were far off it last season and there's been so much change over the summer. 'They're almost unrecognisable given the amount of players they've brought in over the last year. I think that takes a little bit of time to bed in. 'Rodri will be back of course but there's no guarantee with him coming back from an ACL injury. 'No, I don't think they will win the Premier League. I don't think so. 'I'm firmly in Liverpool's camp, if there's going to be an upset I think Arsenal and the big outside is maybe Chelsea. I don't think Man City can bounce back that quick.' Asked about Arsenal's hopes following the signing of Gyokeres, Owen added: 'The pressure on him is incredible because Arsenal have been needing a centre forward for a long time now. 'All of a sudden they've got one and everybody thinks it's the missing piece of the jigsaw. 'He's then gone and taken number 14 [made iconic by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry], which just adds a load of pressure on. 'But if, if he strikes and he's good, then Arsenal are serious challengers again. But if not, then I can't see anything but Liverpool. This lad needs to be good for Arsenal, doesn't he.' Two clubs who were miles off challenging for the Premier League last season were Manchester United and Tottenham, who finished 15th and 17th respectively. More Trending Owen expects improvement from both clubs but doubts they will climb back into Champions League contention under Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou's replacement Thomas Frank. 'They can't be as bad as they were and if you give them some leeway, they knew they weren't going to go down so they both prioritised that competition,' Owen, 45, said. 'They won't be as bad as they were but I can't see them jumping straight back into the Champions League positions next season. 'But you would expect a far better showing from both clubs.' Why Benjamin Sesko is now Man United's top transfer target
Manchester United have made Benjamin Sesko their top striking target and have made contact with RB Leipzig about him. United had narrowed down their search for a No 9 to the Slovenian and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins before deciding to prioritise a move for the 22-year-old. Sesko is also of interest to Newcastle, who are looking for a centre-forward after missing out on a host of targets and with doubts about the future of Alexander Isak. The former Red Bull Salzburg player was long under consideration by Arsenal before they instead decided to buy Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. United have already spent £133m on two attackers this summer, in Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, but they are likelier to occupy the roles as the two No 10s in head coach Ruben Amorim 's preferred 3-4-3 formation. Their two main options to operate as a No 9 last season, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, scored just seven Premier League goals between them as the team only mustered 44. Sesko scored 21 times for Leipzig last season, 13 of them in the Bundesliga, and United have turned to him after missing out on Liam Delap, who joined Chelsea instead. He is seven years younger than Watkins but could command a price of over £60m and take United's summer spending to around £200m. They are also trying to sell players this summer but while Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan, the unwanted quartet of Jadon Sancho, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia are all still at the club. None was taken on the pre-season tour of the United States.

Gyokeres explained: 'You can always have a decision about your future. Of course, there were other clubs as well, but I didn't feel it was a difficult choice for me this time. 'I don't think [a Prem comeback] was always on my mind. But of course, that was an option because it's the best league in the world, so that was always a goal. 'When I felt it was the right time, I didn't hesitate to come back.' However the Swede refuses to be drawn on comparisons with Arsenal's all-time top scorer and 2004 Invincibles hero Thierry Henry. He said: "It's not really my intention to be compared with what he's achieved in his career. Especially here. 'I just want to do my own thing and show my qualities. Of course [Henry] was an amazing player, but different from me. I just want to try to do my own thing. 'Of course, I know about the history. But to be honest, there weren't so many numbers available. There weren't too many to pick from. But of course that one was available. 'So when I knew that, it was an easy choice to take it.' Arteta said: 'I use the word conviction and that's the first thing that I noticed when I spoke to [Gyokeres]. 'Someone very determined, someone that was already really attached, the way he was talking about the club, the history and in this case Thierry and what the shirt represented. 'He straight away felt it, and when you feel it, go for it.' Gyokeres' Sporting exit turned messy, refusing to train to push through a deal that saw club president Frederico Varandas dig his heels in until the very last minute, with accusations of broken promises and backstabbing. The Gyokeres we are used to seeing on the pitch is brash, bold and confident. A swagger that comes with the territory of being one of Europe's most prolific scorers. But sat in Arsenal's hotel with the Hong Kong skyline as a backdrop, Gyokeres is quiet, reflective, even shy, as he painted a picture of how tough the past few weeks have been. He explained: 'I haven't really been in that situation before. It's been a lot of waiting from my side. I tried to train as much as possible by myself and keep the day going. 'A lot of days were the same kind of routine. I woke up, trained, had dinner and then went to bed again. It was like that for a few weeks, but it was worth it for sure.' Thoughts are already turning to Arsenal's Prem opener against United at Old Trafford on August 17, where many hope it will be the start of an historic campaign for Arteta's Arsenal, spearheaded by a hungry Gyokeres ready to silence the haters. Asked if he would be ready to hit the ground running after a disrupted pre-season, Gyokeres simply said: 'Yeah.' He continued: 'You need a whole team that are together and play together, then you have a very good chance to have a great season. '[Arteta] has just told me to use my qualities as much as I can. I haven't been here too long. I've only done a few training sessions, but so far I have been feeling great. 'I just need to keep going the way I've been doing the last couple of years, to improve as well on the pitch. Try to help the team as much as I can.' The striker has already broken a record at Arsenal without even playing a single match. The demand for Gyokeres' No 14 shirts has exceeded that of any signing in recent history.
