Carte Blanche: Fake injectors

On Sunday, 29 June, the episode of Carte Blanche investigates the rise of fake cosmetic injectors operating in an unregulated and dangerous underground industry.
In a society increasingly driven by the pursuit of flawless skin, unlicensed individuals with no medical training or oversight are administering fillers and Botox, putting countless lives at risk.
These procedures, widely promoted across social media, have become part of a booming, illegal market where profit often takes precedence over safety.
The exposé raises a critical question: What is the real price people pay, physically and emotionally, for cheap beauty enhancements?
Carte Blanche is a South African investigative journalism television series that airs on M-Net every Sunday at 19:00.
Its first episode aired on 21 August 1988 and over the last 34-plus years has earned credibility among South African viewers for its investigation into corruption, consumer issues, and current events.

Rihanna shines at A$AP Rocky's Paris Fashion Week show

Rihanna turned heads at Paris Men's Fashion Week on Friday as she supported her partner, A$AP Rocky, at his AWGE fashion show. The Barbadian superstar, who is expecting her third child, brought along her 10-month-old son, Riot Rose. Rihanna, 37, made motherhood look effortless as she wore a bold, colourful button-up shirt with a striking red sleeve and blue striped centre. She paired it with a navy tennis skirt, tall grey socks, and white lacy slingback heels. A bright yellow tote and gold jewellery completed her look. Her hair fell in loose curls, and she opted for a natural makeup style, according to Page Six. Speaking to reporters, Rihanna said, 'Being a mum is my greatest joy. I want my kids to see me doing what I love and to be part of these moments.' Riot Rose, dressed in a black moto jacket with a Harley-Davidson patch, white shirt, and purple joggers, melted hearts. He finished the look with baby Vans sneakers and tall white socks. His hair was styled in neat braids. Cameras caught the little one waving shyly before turning away from the flashes. A$AP Rocky, 36, beamed as his family cheered him on. The couple, who also have a son named RZA (born May 2022), looked relaxed and happy. Earlier that day, the family attended Dior's Homme men's spring 2026 show, sitting front row. For Dior, Rihanna wore a black cape with floral embroidery and a contrasting turquoise and orange lining. She layered it over a mint green blazer and white shirt, finishing with slouchy grey trousers. She accessorised with yellow-tinted sunglasses and sparkling jewellery. Rocky wore a light blue shirt, dark jeans, and a bold, colourful tie. He carried a beige fringe bag with matching tassels. Both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are known for their trendsetting style. Their presence at Paris Fashion Week was a highlight for many who admire their creativity and family values. As Rihanna prepares to welcome her third child, she continues to inspire fans worldwide. Her message is clear: family and passion can go hand in hand. 'Family is everything to me,' Rihanna shared. 'I hope my children grow up knowing they can achieve anything.' WATCH: Dream comes true for student who managed to get Tyla as his date for his matric dance

Matriculant Mollwane Madiba's dream came true when Grammy award-winning singer Tyla showed up to his matric dance. A dream come true: matric student Mollwane Madiba with his date, Tyla at his matric dance. Picture: @BALUCIAGA/X Dreams come true for those who are persistent and patient enough. These words hold true for matric student Mollwane Madiba. After months of campaigning like a politician in election season and with a child-like conviction that was borderline delusional, Madiba's dream of having Grammy award-winning singer Tyla as his matric dance partner come true. The South African global star attended the matric dance after many people thought Madiba's dream wouldn't become a reality. Even a day before the dance, doubt began to creep in as Madiba started asking people who might be interested in being his date to reach out to him. 'I just got to Sandton to get my suit, I don't want to go to this dance alone,' he said in a video. 'If there's anyone who wants to go with me, message me ASAP [as soon as possible].' In one video students ask 'Who do you think Mollwane is taking to MD?' followed by responses of 'Tyla, obviously.' Using the hashtag #MOandTYLAForMD, almost all the videos feature Tyla's song Push 2 Start. Madiba has seemingly met Tyla, as he has a photo of himself with the Water singer. In one video shot in what appears to be a school library, the photo of the two is displayed prominently on bookshelves, walls and wherever it can be seen.
