The 7 Best Sheets To Achieve Your Deepest Sleep Yet, Tested By Editors
After testing dozens of sets, our editors named the Boll & Branch Signature Hemmed Sheet Set the ... More best sheets overall.
But everyone has a difference preference when it comes to sheets. Some like them crisp and thick, while others may prefer a soft and lightweight material. No matter what you're looking for, we rounded up the seven best sheet sets to cater to a wide range of sleepers and their needs, all based on thorough research and testing.
Boll & Branch
Materials: 100% organic long-staple cotton | Thread count: Not listed | Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, California king, split king | Key features: Organic materials, Oeko-Tex certification, matte finish
Pros:
Cons:
Boll & Branch's Signature Hemmed Sheet Set earned the top spot on this list because these sheets are luxurious, naturally cooling and long-lasting. Made from 100% organic cotton, they feature a classic matte finish that's similar to what you'd find in a high-end hotel—and they get softer with every wash. The fitted sheet can also fit mattresses up to 17 inches (or your thicker-than-average bed), so we think they're an accommodating pick for most people. We also appreciate the large variety of colors and patterns to choose from.
'The Signature Sheets were the first set of luxury bedding I tested around five years ago, and ever since, there have been very few sheet sets that lived up to the buttery softness, durability and breathable feel of this pair,' says mattress and sleep editor McKenzie Dillon. 'The sheets have been through countless cycles in the washer and dryer and they never lost their silky-smoothness.' She adds that they drape over you without making you feel too hot, allowing you to use them year-round.
Amazon
Materials: Double-brushed microfiber | Thread count: Not listed | Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, California king, split king | Key features: Choice of 45 colorways, Oeko-Tex certified
Pros:
Cons:
I discovered this Mellanni set nearly a decade ago when I was visiting a friend and needed to know what sheets were on her guest bed. They were soft and lightweight while still having a quality feel. When I learned the price, I immediately ordered a set that—according to my Amazon order history—lasted a little over three years before I ordered another. (Keep in mind these were my main sheets at the time.)
Their endorsements don't come from my friend and me alone, though; these sheets have received over 64,000 5-star reviews from other shoppers who compliment their smoothness, durability and temperature regulation. The microfiber material offers a soft feel that isn't prone to wrinkling nor clinging to the skin. Whether for a guest room or primary bedroom, this Mellanni sheet set is a solid budget-friendly option that comes in every color of the rainbow and then some. Just keep in mind the microfiber material is not as natural or high-quality as the others on this list.
Brooklinen
Materials: 100% long-staple cotton | Thread count: 270 | Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, California king | Key features: Oeko-Tex certified, 'long' and 'short' tags on fitted sheet
Pros:
Cons:
If you love a cool, crisp feel, Brooklinen's Classic Percale Core Sheet Set delivers to the nth degree. (Think: sleeping while wrapped up in a luxe button-down shirt.) Thanks to the percale weave, the sheets are breathable while still maintaining a substantial weight. They have more structure to them than bamboo sheets, without trapping heat—instead, they wick away moisture.
One of our testers found them to embody a smoothness that feels luxurious. 'If you're looking for a high-quality sheet set that holds up well to regular washing, this is worth considering,' she says. We also love how they have 'long' and 'short' labels, so making the bed is a more effortless task, and envelope pillowcases to keep your pillows in place.
Quince
Materials: 100% viscose from organic bamboo | Thread count: 300 | Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, California king | Key features: Soft sateen weave, choice of 16 colorways, Oeko-Tex certified
Pros:
Cons:
I'm a huge fan of bamboo sheets, as they offer a buttery-soft feel that keeps you cool. Out of the several sets I've tested, I've kept this pick from Quince in my regular rotation because it has the most balanced feel in terms of being soft and lightweight, but not too thin or lacking substance. I also enjoy their subtle sheen and drapey appearance, and they've maintained their softness after several washes. Since they're made with 100% viscose from organic bamboo, they're hypoallergenic and a great option for anyone with sensitive skin or allergies.
You can choose from 16 different colors and forgo the flat sheet if you'd like. In order to prevent wrinkling, Quince recommends pulling the sheets out from the dryer immediately. The brand also suggests avoiding using fabric softener or dryer balls when washing and drying them to prevent pilling.
The Company Store
Materials: 100% Supima cotton | Thread count: 450 | Sizes: Twin, twin XL, queen, king, California king, plus queen, king and California king deep-pocket sizes | Key features: Oeko-Tex certified, 15 color choices
Pros:
Cons:
A few picks on this list are made from cotton (and not all cotton sheets feel or look the same due to the various weaves they feature), but we named this Legends Hotel set from The Company Store our favorite of them all. That's because its 450-thread-count construction combined with Supima cotton sateen weave creates an extremely luxurious, hotel-quality feel. 'Out of the box, they feel silky smooth and oh-so soft,' says updates writer Alex Garrett. 'They also have a nice, balanced thickness that keeps you cozy without overheating.'
However, she notes that they're not as cooling as other cotton sheets, such as the percale set from Brooklinen, so keep that in mind if you sleep extra hot. They also have a wrinkle-free and durable design that maintains their softness and high-end look, even after several washes. Choose from over a dozen colors as well as deep-pocket sizes if you have a taller mattress.
Bed Threads
Materials: 100% flax linen | GSM: 170 | Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, queen special, king, California king | Key features: Airy and light, available in 20 colorways, Oeko-Tex certified
Pros:
Cons:
Linen sheets are often associated with being scratchy, but the Bed Threads 100% French Flax Linen Sheets rebel strongly against that reputation. As Dillon puts it, they're 'an anomaly in that they manage to be soft to the touch and substantial in weight but light and airy at the same time.' She says they've become her go-to set throughout the year since they're 'cozy enough for the wintertime and breathable enough for a hot sleeper in the summertime.'
The Bed Threads sheets offer a lived-in look and come in 20 different colors, from white to pink clay (pictured). They're the most expensive pick on this list, but they're durable and designed to last, so we'd consider them a worthy investment. Bed Threads is also a 100% carbon neutral company, meaning it's dedicated to offsetting all of its carbon emissions and helping the environment.
Cozy Earth
Materials: 100% bamboo viscose | Thread count: 320 | Sizes: Twin/twin XL, full, queen, king, California king, split king | Key features: Deep pockets, oversized fit
Pros:
Cons:
As mentioned earlier, I love a soft sheet. So it shouldn't be a surprise that the Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set is one of my (and many other Forbes Vetted editors') absolute favorites. These sheets are exceptionally soft and silky. They're also extremely lightweight and flowy, making them a great cooling option. I have a set that has lasted through several washes over the past few years without any signs of pilling or deterioration.
They have an oversized design, and the fitted sheet can accommodate mattresses up to 20 inches, so they should be able to work for most beds. They come backed with a 10-year warranty, as well. The only downside to being so lightweight is if you choose a lighter color, like white, they're a little see-through on your pillows and mattress.
Our mattress and sleep team has researched, tested and published dozens of sleep and bedding stories across Forbes Vetted, from the coolest pillowcases to our ever-popular best mattresses guide.
To compile a list of the best bed sheets, we dug into our bedding-testing experience and researched the most sought-after sheets from reputable brands like Boll & Branch, Brooklinen, Cozy Earth and others. We also relied on experts insights and consumer reviews.
Finding the best sheets for you comes down to what feel and materials you prefer, along with any temperature-regulation needs. 'Your bed should be a sanctuary, so I would say that it's worth it to invest in really high-quality sheets,' says Kathy Kuo, interior designer and founder/CEO of Kathy Kuo Home. 'Your skin, hair and overall mental and physical health will all benefit from quality sheets and a better night's sleep.'
The first aspect to focus on is the type and quality of a sheet's material. 'We spend so much time in our beds, so it's worth it to spend a little more on bedding to ensure you're comfortable and surrounded by high-quality materials that will last for a long time,' says Kuo. Here are the sheet materials featured on this list:
Kuo advises keeping in mind whether you plan to swap out your bedding seasonally, as well. 'For example, the cool feeling of crisp percale works really well for the warmer summer months, and then the softness and warmth of flannel [sheets] is nice for the wintertime,' she says.
Although often advertised as being important, thread count is not a full indicator of a sheet's quality. Rather, think of it as a guide: A lower thread count (250 to 300) means a sheet set is going to be more lightweight and breathable, while a higher thread count (400 to 500) correlates to a thicker, heavier sheet. Also keep in mind that every fabric doesn't use thread count as a measurement; silk, flannel and linen are all ones that don't use it since they're manufactured differently.
Will Taylor, interior designer and founder of Bright Bazaar, recommends measuring the height of your mattress (including any toppers) before purchasing sheets. 'It's important to look for sheets that specify both the pocket depth and the material quality to ensure a comfortable, lasting fit,' he says.
If you need deep-pocket sheets (typically over 12 to 14 inches), there should be plenty of options available, including many on our list. 'You can find deep-pocket sheets in a variety of materials, including cotton, linen, bamboo and microfiber,' says Taylor.
What Type Of Sheets Are The Best Quality?
'Cotton percale and Egyptian cotton are really tried-and-true materials for comfort and quality,' says Kuo. However, if you're looking for specific materials for different seasons, she recommends percale for the summer and flannel for the winter.
What Kind Of Sheets Do Five-Star Hotels Use?
Five-star hotels often use cotton sheets with either a percale or sateen weave. Percale provides a crisp and cool feel, while sateen offers a softer and warmer feel.

Personalized Jewelry Brand SETT to Launch SETT NOIR, A Sterling Silver Collection with Three Distinct Luxury Finishes
Phoenix, AZ, Aug. 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SETT, a men's jewelry brand known merging aesthetic simplicity with personalization, has announced the upcoming launch of its newest collection: SETT NOIR – sterling silver men's bracelet fusing three distinct finishes: black rhodium, white rhodium, and gold plating. Defined by its rich contrast and meticulous design, the collection marks a bold shift toward more sophisticated, contemporary luxury design within the brand's portfolio. SETT NOIR Inspired by the use of black rhodium-plated sterling silver, a hallmark element running through the entire series, the name SETT NOIR takes its cue from the collection's darker, refined aesthetic. Developed entirely in-house, the designs were brought to life in partnership with Italian artisans, with each bracelet crafted and finished in Italy. 'Our goal with SETT NOIR was to take a step beyond our classical styles and explore more elevated, modern expression of men's jewelry,' said Uri Raveh, SETT Brand Manager. 'By combining three contrasting finishes in a single sterling silver piece, we've created a collection that feels both distinctive and versatile, balancing bold design with understated elegance.' A Step Beyond the Classics While SETT's existing collections have emphasized timeless, personalized pieces, SETT NOIR introduces a different design language. The collection moves away from purely classical silhouette, embracing a more sophisticated aesthetic that appeals to men seeking jewelry with subtle complexity. The combination of dark, bright, and warm tones gives each piece a layered architectural quality – deliberate balance of depth, light, and texture. This contrast of the black rhodium, white rhodium, and gold plating is built into the design itself rather than added as ornament, allowing the finishes to enhance the structure and presence of the bracelets. The result is a collection that commands attention without overpowering. SETT NOIR complements a tailored suit as naturally as they add edge to a casual ensemble, serving as versatile accents that can adapt to multiple personal styles. By blending bold contrast with a restrained architectural form, SETT NOIR bridges the heritage of classic craftsmanship with contemporary sensibility. It is a collection designed to resonate with seasoned jewelry collectors and those seeking a meaningful new addition to their wardrobe. A Permanent Collection With Future Potential Unlike seasonal drops that appear briefly and fade with trends, SETT NOIR is envisioned as a long-term part of the brand's portfolio, signaling SETT's confidence in the collection's staying power and its relevance to the modern men's jewelry market. From the outset SETT intends to expand SETT NOIR beyond bracelets. The brand already exploring how the distinctive three-finish combination could translate into other forms. According to the brand, if early reception is strong, it plans to expand the NOIR design language into necklaces, potentially followed by additional categories that preserve the collection's unique architectural balance. 'We see SETT NOIR as more than a single collection. It's a beginning of a design language we can build on,' added Raveh. 'Establishing it as a permanent line gives us and our customers the chance to see it evolve, adapt, and remain relevant throughout the years.' This approach not only allows product variety over time but also ensures each piece feels connected to the original vision. For SETT, the launch of SETT NOIR marks more than just the arrival of a new product. It marks step toward a more contemporary, luxury territory. While the brand continues to uphold its commitment to personalization and timeless appeal, this collection aims to carve out a space for a more modern, architectural expression of luxury. Positioned for a Strong September Launch Launching in September, the collection aligns perfectly with the fall fashion cycle, just as shoppers begin eyeing upscale accessories for gift-giving and self-styling. SETT NOIR will be available exclusively through the brand's official online store and select retailers, with early access previews offered to email subscribers and social media followers in the weeks leading up to the launch. Aldi's New Line of Zero Sugar Mocktail-Inspired Sparkling Waters Have Shoppers Stocking Their Carts Fast
Sparkling water brands and varieties are popping up all over the supermarket. And the flavor combinations become a bit more unique with each drop. Mocktails are also having a moment, and all of the classic versions that come along with them. Aldi's latest beverage drop combines the love of mocktails and sparkling water with their Zero Sugar Mocktail Sparkling Water, and it comes in three varieties: Pina Colada, Strawberry Margarita and 8-pack of 12-ounce cans will sell for $3.55. The ingredients list is made up of solely carbonated water and natural flavors and they're non-alcoholic, zero sugar and zero calories. We're guessing these have been pretty popular, as this isn't the first time Aldi is releasing Mocktail Sparkling Water. A Reddit post from June discusses the Mojito variety, and the poster stated they were 'pleasantly surprised how good it tasted. 0 calories, 0 sugar, all natural flavoring, and about $0.45 per 12 ounce can. Hopefully, my Aldi will continue to stock it because I want to try the Piña colada next week'. And 'It's yum', a commenter replied. Featured Story: One person noted, 'It's not sweet, it's similar to La Croix! I really like them, especially the strawberry margarita'. And another fan exclaimed, 'I personally loved the 'Mojito' flavor and thought it was nice and refreshing! But I also drink a lot of sparkling water which is pretty much all it is, lol'. While many Reddit users were smitten with the cocktail and sparkling water mash-up, others didn't care for it. If you're a fan of sparkling water and the flavors of these classic cocktails, this variety might be worth a try. Like most Aldi Finds, they'll only be available for a limited-time and drop between August 13 and 19. I'm a full-time food blogger. Why my phone is the ‘brain' of our household
If someone five years ago told me I'd be an influencer, I would have never believed them. I've been cooking all my life. When I was a little girl, my grandmother would pull a chair up to the kitchen counter for me to stand on so I could see what she was doing and she would put me to work. Cooking for friends and family, experimenting with new recipes, and discovering delicious food has always been my passion. Today, I'm a one-woman show and run my business Big Delicious Life at home, most of it right in my kitchen. I shoot and edit all of my own photos and videos, actively manage my website, create content for big brand campaigns, and balance being a full time mom and homemaker. I still can't believe that this is now my business. Technology helps me balance work and family Technology is always changing, and when you depend on it as a creator to run your business, you are constantly learning new things. From work, to baby gear, to home management and entertainment, tech is at the center of everything in my life! I depend heavily on my iPhone. With it, I shoot all of my photos and videos, edit them using apps like Lightroom, InShot, and Instagram Edits, and post them to the public. But my phone is also mission control for the various apps I use to manage the household. Google Calendar helps me keep track of multiple schedules for our family. I can run our Roborock vacuum with the tap of a button to keep the floors in shape for a baby on the move. Nest cameras and Yale smart locks keep our home safe, secure, and comfortable. A Nanit Pro baby monitor lets me monitor how my little one is sleeping, and a Hatch Rest sound machine helps create her optimal sleep environment. I make sure to take care of myself too by booking different fitness classes on Classpass. I rely on a lot of tools and apps to make my life easier. Technology gives me the freedom and flexibility to run my own business, take care of my family and my home, and share my passion for food and cooking with the world. I really can have it all, and by learning your way around the technology that's available to you both at home and on the go, you can too. Solve the daily Crossword
