Apple iPhone 17 price leaked in India, USA, and UAE: Check out the expected launch date, specifications, and more
From price expectations across major markets like India, the UAE, and the US to a potential shift in lineup naming, the iPhone 17 is shaping up to redefine Apple's strategy once again. As discussions grow over design changes, market positioning, and user demand, Apple fans and analysts alike are closely watching.
The iPhone 17 series is more than just a phone — it's a signal of where Apple is headed next. Read on to explore what's at stake.
iPhone 17 launch timeline in India (Expected)
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg suggested in his most recent Power On newsletter that Apple enthusiasts should free up the week of September 8 since that is when the new iPhone lineup is most likely to be unveiled and go on sale.
Gurman pointed out that since Apple usually releases new iPhone models right after Labor Day, which is this year on September 1, the launch event is most likely to take place the week after. This timing would be consistent with what the business typically does.
According to MacRumors, in nine of the last ten years, Apple has released new iPhones during the second week of September; the sole exception is 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic created problems.
iPhone 17 expected specifications
Processor
Apple analyst Jeff Pu published an investor note indicating that the A19 chipset may power the upcoming iPhone 17 (via MacRumlours). "We now expect the iPhone 17 model to be equipped with A19 (vs. earlier expectation of A18)," Pu wrote in the memo.
The expert adds that the same processor will be used in the rumored thin iPhone 17 Air model.
However, the 19 Pro chipset is probably going to power the Pro versions, which include the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Later this year, in September, Apple is probably going to reveal the iPhone 17 series.
Apple may implement some significant display modifications for all models, according to reports.
Apple is reportedly planning lower bezels, a revamped Dynamic Island, and ProMotion compatibility for all of the lineup's models, according to a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
Display Size
Additionally, the iPhone 17's 6.3-inch display will be marginally bigger than the iPhone 16's 6.1-inch display. A 6.7-inch screen is rumoured for the iPhone 17 Air, a 6.3-inch screen for the iPhone 17 Pro, and a 6.9-inch screen for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
A Repositioned Logo
In contrast to the earlier generations, the Apple logo would now be located on the lower part of the rear. In addition, a new version of the Apple Magsafe charger would enable faster Magsafe wireless charging for the 17-inch Pro models.
Apple is Using Aluminum Frames Again
There are rumors that the iPhone 17 Pro variants may return to using an aluminum frame. This would be a significant change because, whereas the prior phones had titanium frames, the new 17 is anticipated to have a partially glass and aluminum design. In addition to this, there have been some previous leaks regarding the phone's display.
Camera
Camera improvements differ depending on the model. Three cameras are included with the iPhone 17: a 48MP wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 24MP front camera. The smaller iPhone 17 Air may only have a single 48MP rear and a 24MP front camera due to space constraints.
Colorways
According to reports, Apple is exploring new purple and green hues for the next generation of iPhones, the 17th model. Apple is leaning toward purple, and just one of the new hues will be introduced to the roster.
Memory
Apple's Pro models will allow greater background app retention and speedier performance thanks to their 12GB of RAM. For improved everyday multitasking and user experience, iPhone 17 models will come standard with 8GB of RAM.
Optimization of Software
According to Apple, AI-based software improvements will actively tap into user experience data and ensure the user has a battery life that can easily last the entire day. In addition, Apple has demonstrated its intention to employ a high-density battery to give the phone a longer life.
According to a recent discovery, the battery's silicon construction, rather than graphite, enables the maker to fit around 15% more energy into the same area as ordinary rechargeable battery packs. With such an innovation, Apple could increase the phone's battery life in such a compact and thin form factor.
iPhone 17 expected price in India, USA, and UAE
The initial pricing of the iPhone 17 range is anticipated to be about Rs 79,900 when it launches in India. However, there is a chance that the cost of the Pro and standard models will go up. The Trump administration's revised trade tariffs are mostly to blame for this possible increase.
Production costs for iPhones made in China have increased due to continued geopolitical tensions between the United States and China; this could lead to higher retail prices globally.
The entry-level iPhone 17 is expected to start at about AED 3,799 in the United Arab Emirates and approximately $899 in the United States.

How Samsung may also emerge as the winner in Apple's first foldable iPhone launch
Samsung could be one of the biggest beneficiaries when Apple launches its first foldable iPhone in late 2025, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter. Samsung stands to benefit both as a component supplier and from the broader market validation that Apple's entry could bring to foldable segment. The most immediate benefit comes through Samsung Display, which will supply the crease-free OLED screens for Apple's foldable iPhone. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo confirms Samsung Display has secured the primary supplier role, with production targeting 13-15 million units beginning in the first quarter of 2026, a significant revenue stream regardless of market share outcomes. Samsung's supply chain dominance creates win-win scenario Samsung's component divisions have historically profited from Apple's success across multiple product lines, supplying OLED displays for premium iPhones since 2017 despite the companies' fierce courtroom battles. The foldable iPhone extends this mutually beneficial arrangement, with Samsung providing displays and supporting partners like Fine M-Tech supplying critical hinge components. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Studio & 1 BHK at ACE Nest – Book with ₹5 Lacs Only! Gurman notes that Samsung essentially spent seven years developing foldable technology that Apple must now license or purchase, turning innovation investment into supplier profits. Market expansion benefits all players Apple's entry could dramatically expand the global foldable market, currently dominated by Samsung and Chinese manufacturers. Increased mainstream adoption driven by Apple's marketing power and brand loyalty may create a rising tide that lifts all foldable manufacturers. The strategy particularly benefits Samsung in key markets like China, where Apple's foldable launch could validate the category for hesitant consumers. Android users curious about foldables but skeptical of the technology may try Samsung's proven Galaxy devices after seeing Apple embrace the format. Samsung's component revenues from Apple foldables could exceed profits from its own device sales, given the higher margins on B2B component supply versus competitive consumer electronics. The irony is striking: Samsung spent years building the foldable market that Apple will enter, but Samsung may profit most. AI Masterclass for Students. Upskill Young Ones Today!– Join Now

iOS 26 Public Beta coming soon, iOS 27 development already in sight: Mark Gurman
Apple could be gearing up to release the first public beta of iOS 26 this week, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Writing in hisPower On newsletter, Gurman stated that 'all indications' point to the public beta phase beginning in the coming days, with a likely release on or around Wednesday, 23 July. While Apple had previously confirmed that the iOS 26 public beta would arrive in July, it refrained from providing a specific launch date. This upcoming rollout will give users outside the developer community an early chance to experience the new features and improvements introduced in iOS 26. Alongside the iPhone software, Apple is also expected to make public beta versions of iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and HomePod software 26 available at the same time. For the first time, Apple will also be offering a public beta of its next major firmware update for AirPods. However, visionOS 26 will remain exclusive to developers, as Apple does not plan to release a public beta for the platform, according to its official beta website. Those interested in testing the updates can register for the Apple Beta Software Program at no cost. Participants are advised to back up their devices prior to installation, as beta versions may include bugs and stability issues. Although the updates have already been available through Apple's developer beta programme, public testers are generally encouraged to wait for the public beta version. In recent years, Apple removed the $99 annual fee requirement for accessing developer betas, but an Apple Developer account is still necessary. Looking further ahead, Gurman also suggested that Apple may commence development of iOS 27 soon. The upcoming version will reportedly focus on features designed for the much-anticipated foldable iPhone, which is rumoured to debut in the latter half of 2026.

Apple to launch M5 iPad Pro in 2026, report says it will come with two front-facing cameras
Apple is reportedly working on the next version of its iPad Pro, expected to launch in late 2025, and this time, the biggest talking point might be the front-facing camera, or say, dual-front-facing cameras. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple plans to add a second front camera to the upcoming M5 iPad Pro, giving users a better experience no matter how they hold the device. This move comes after some criticism of last year's M4 iPad Pro, where Apple shifted the front camera to the landscape edge. While many users appreciated the change for video calls when using a keyboard, others found it less ideal for portrait use. The new dual-camera layout is likely Apple's way of solving both problems in one idea is simple — one camera stays on the landscape side for video calls when the iPad is docked or used in landscape mode, and the new camera will sit on the portrait side for when users hold the tablet vertically. This also means Face ID will likely work more smoothly in both orientations, especially for those who regularly switch between using the iPad Pro as a laptop and as a than the camera change, the M5 iPad Pro isn't expected to bring major upgrades over the M4 iPad Pro, since the last-generation model was a pretty big upgrade over the M3 version. So, the design of the M5 iPad Pro will likely remain the same, with 11-inch and 13-inch OLED displays that support ProMotion tech for a smooth 10-120Hz refresh rate. Storage options will go up to 2TB, and users can expect the usual USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support. The rear camera should stay unchanged too, featuring a single camera sensor — probably a 12-megapixel lens — along with a LiDAR sensor and an LED flash. If you haven't guessed by now, under the hood, the new iPad Pro will be powered by Apple's upcoming M5 chipset, which should deliver better battery life and performance improvements over the M4 chip, particularly when multitasking or using pro apps. While exact performance figures aren't known yet, the next-gen iPad Pro could be the first device to run the chip, with M5-powered MacBook Pros also expected later this at the expected release timeline, the M5 iPad Pro will likely ship with iPadOS 26, which is said to bring a bunch of productivity upgrades. As witnessed during WWDC earlier this year, iPadOS 26 includes better window management, support for background tasks, an improved Files app, and even new tools for audio details will likely surface as the launch gets closer, but for now, the dual-camera setup is the most interesting development. Stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the latest on Apple's next-generation M5 iPad Pro.- Ends
