Jonathan Majors marries Meagan Good nearly a year after domestic assault sentencing
Ahead of the release of Majors' latest film, Magazine Dreams, the couple were wed in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, Majors, 35, confirmed on Wednesday on the Sherri show.
"I said to Meagan yesterday, 'Today might be the happiest day of my life,'" an emotional Majors said. "I love that woman so much. We fell in love. We finally got to do it, but it was always the plan."
Majors' mother officiated. He had special rings from Hawaii engraved after asking Good's father for permission to wed.
The Independent has reached out to representatives for Majors and Good for comment.
The couple confirmed their engagement to People in November 2024 while attending the EBONY Power 100 Gala where they first met in 2022. "We're feeling great,' Good told People at the time while flaunting her diamond ring. 'It's a season of joy,' Majors added.
Good, 43, and Majors were first linked in May 2023, around the same time he was facing trial for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges. The charges stemmed from an incident involving his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in March 2023. Jabbari, 31, accused Majors of hitting her, fracturing her finger, twisting her arm, and causing her to bleed after striking her ear.
In December 2023, Majors was found guilty of two counts of misdemeanor assault and harassment. He was also found not guilty of one count of assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
Majors avoided jail time but was sentenced to a year-long domestic abuse prevention program in April 2024. Jabbari has since dropped an assault and defamation lawsuit against Majors, after the Marvel actor claimed both before and during the trial that he did not assault Jabbari.
Good — who was previously married to producer DeVon Franklin until their 2022 divorce — publicly supported Majors throughout the trial, even accompanying him to court. In July 2024, she admitted to People that Majors 'tried to encourage me not to be with him. He wanted to protect me.'
That same month, during an appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna, the Think Like a Man actor said 'every friend' advised her to wait until Majors' proceedings were complete before engaging in a relationship.
'But at the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum,' Good continued. 'I can always look and say, 'Ok I'm proud of that.' No matter whatever happens I have peace in my heart and harmony in my heart.'
Magazine Dreams marks Majors' return to the big screen following the domestic assault scandal that brought his rising career to a halt. Majors plays an up-and-coming bodybuilder who abuses steroids on his ascent to stardom. The film opens in theaters on March 21.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter publicizing the movie, Majors admitted that the aftermath of the domestic assault trial forced him to address unresolved issues from his childhood.
'I dealt with sexual abuse from both men and women from the time I was 9,' Majors said. 'From people who are supposed to look after you, in the absence of a father. I was f***ed up.'
Through therapy, he's been able to confront the trauma he experienced. Majors said he's only recently spoken to his mother about what happened to him decades ago.
'I'm like, 'It's not even an issue, mom. I just want you to know. And now we can all get busy and continue to connect and grow and learn from it, because it's something that was in our family,'' said Majors.
As he looks to the film's release he acknowledged, 'There are no excuses, but by getting help, you begin to understand things about yourself.'

Seven times Glasgow stood in as setting for Hollywood blockbusters
Glasgow has become a popular filming location for major Hollywood productions. Glasgow has once again taken centre stage in a major Hollywood production, with filming for Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day currently under way in the city. Crowds have gathered to watch Hollywood superstar Tom Holland perform impressive stunts as Marvel's web-slinging hero, with parts of the city centre transformed into bustling New York streets. In recent years, Scotland's largest city has become a favourite among film-makers, with its mix of grand architecture and adaptable streets providing the perfect backdrop for a range of productions. From gritty urban dramas to high-octane blockbusters, Glasgow has played host to an impressive line-up of films. The Batman (2022) DC's dark, atmospheric blockbuster made use of the gothic surroundings of Glasgow Necropolis, the Victorian cemetery that became a key setting thanks to its striking architecture. Starring Robert Pattinson in the title role, the film's moody visuals were a natural fit for the city's historic landmarks. Pattinson is set to return for a sequel in 2027, though it is not yet confirmed whether Glasgow will feature again. Tetris (2023) The story of Henk Rogers and his fight to secure the rights to the iconic video game brought a very different aesthetic to Glasgow. Set in the 1980s, the film saw parts of the city convincingly transformed into Soviet-era Moscow, with its architecture standing in for the Soviet Union. Welsh actor Taron Egerton played Rogers and, despite his moustache disguise, was quickly spotted by fans during filming. Churchill (2017) This historical drama saw Scottish actor Brian Cox portray Winston Churchill in the tense days leading up to the D-Day landings. Several scenes were shot around Scotland, including Glasgow's George Street, which doubled for wartime settings. 1917 (2019) Sam Mendes's award-winning First World War epic featured Glasgow's Govan Graving Docks, transformed through CGI into a canal. Inspired by the experiences of real-life soldiers, the film starred George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman and was acclaimed for its immersive cinematography and striking set design. World War Z (2013) Brad Pitt led the cast of this zombie blockbuster, which turned George Square into the streets of Philadelphia during an undead outbreak. At the time, it was one of the largest productions ever to film in the city and went on to become the highest-grossing zombie film of all time. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Fast and Furious 6 (2013) High-speed stunts and roaring engines took over Cadogan Street and Broomielaw as part of the street-racing franchise. Although none of the main stars appeared on location, the production returned in 2019 to film scenes for Fast and Furious 9. Trainspotting (1996) Although set in Edinburgh, this cult classic was filmed largely in Glasgow. Interiors were shot in an old cigarette factory on Alexandra Parade, while exterior locations included Maryhill Road, Kelvin Hall and Rouken Glen Park. Its modest budget was a far cry from the scale of modern superhero productions.
