It looks like makeup, feels like skincare, and leaves you with the dewiest complexion.
I've had a deep love of makeup since the day my grandma took me to the MAC counter and bought me my first lipstick when I was 11 years old. Although my technique and preferred aesthetic have evolved over the last quarter century, I am still always on the hunt for new beauty products to add to my repertoire.
Sephora
So when I heard that makeup artist Gucci Westman had developed her own brand, Westman Atelier, I was immediately intrigued. There's been a lot of online chatter about the brand's foundation sticks, but I was immediately drawn to the Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops.
This liquid foundation has a thin, lightweight, and serum-like consistency — almost like a tinted moisturizer – with light-to-medium buildable coverage that looks just like my own skin, but way better. It blends beautifully with both brushes or a sponge and, somehow, it manages to blur my breakouts and cover redness and dark circles without looking or feeling heavy. I've gotten compliments almost every time I've worn it from people who think it's my natural, makeup-free face. It is so feather-light that I was certain it wouldn't even be visible, making the results all the more thrilling.
I have very sensitive, reactive, and acne-prone skin, so introducing a new skincare or makeup product into my routine is often fraught. But I am pleased to report that not only has it not caused any adverse reactions or breakouts, but i t's helped to improve the overall look and feel of my skin. It's gentle and hydrating, doesn't clog pores, and gives my skin an overall healthy glow. Another reason I am obsessed with it is that while it does have a dewy finish, it doesn't leave my skin looking slick or oily. It dries down to an almost powdery consistency that leaves my skin velvety smooth and stays put all day long.
One of the most intriguing aspects of this foundation is that it's packed with serum-style ingredients like squalane, tsubaki oil, ginseng extract, and more. These work together to improve the look of skin texture, reduce redness, soothe irritation, hydrate, and brighten the complexion.
Like many, I was initially put off by the price point, especially given that the bottle seems relatively small. But I regret to inform you that it really is worth every single penny. I was very relieved to find that I only need three or four drops to cover my entire face, which will ensure that the bottle lasts for a long time. You can also feel good about the fact that the Westman Atelier Foundation Drops can contribute to the overall health of your skin. A makeup product that doubles as skincare? Sign me up — you just can't beat that.
The foundation is available in 20 different shades, all of which correspond to the brand's stick foundation shades. This makes it easy to use the stick as a concealer and achieve a perfect shade match if you need a bit more coverage. Some reviewers mention that the drops have a smell to them, but to be honest, I've never noticed it. Take a look at some of these raves from Sephora, then treat yourself to some beautiful spring skin.
Promising reviews:

'The texture of these drops is amazing and perfect for daily wear. Coverage is light, like a tinted moisturizer, but really tackles any redness and evens out skin tone. It's nice that there are good ingredients in it, too! Unfortunately that it is so expensive, but a little bit goes a long way, thankfully!' — misskika007
'I love these drops! They leave my skin with a beautiful glowing finish. For reference, I'm 40 with combination skin.' — Bettina00
'This is an amazing product. It goes on like an oil but settles seamlessly onto the face, almost like a powder. I never thought the money would be worth it, but it definitely is!' — pinkyw
'I'm not sure where to start. This product is wonderful. I have an autoimmune disease that affects my skin, making it red, sore, and dry. This is the first product I've tried that not only makes the redness vanish, but leaves my skin so soft and supple, and I have zero reaction to it. It's really miraculous. It's not just makeup. It's high-end skincare. The ingredients work with your skin to enhance what you have and improve your problem areas. It's not foundation, it's magic in a bottle!' — Ilvb
'Best I've ever used. Makes me look like me but better. I get compliments on my skin for the first time. Light and easy to apply. Perfect color match. Never stop making this! Wish it had SPF.' — melonaid

Taylor Swift And Blake Lively Friendship Update In June

There's a new update on Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's friendship amidst Blake's ongoing legal woes with Justin Baldoni. In December, Blake sued Justin, her co-star and director on It Ends with Us, claiming he sexually harassed her on set. In addition to denying the claims, Justin launched a countersuit against Blake, alleging defamation, civil extortion, and false light invasion of privacy. Taylor was roped into the drama in May when Justin's legal team subpoenaed her, arguing that Blake had used "her megacelebrity friend to pressure [Justin]" into making changes on the film. A rep for Taylor immediately denied their claims. "Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie," her spokesperson said. "She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history." According to the rep, Taylor had only agreed to license her song "My Tears Ricochet" for use in the trailer and one scene. "Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case." Still, the drama continued when Justin's lawyers wrote a letter to a judge claiming that Blake had allegedly asked Taylor to delete their text messages and "that if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively's possession would be released." Blake's lawyer called the claims "categorically false," and the next day, a judge struck the "improper" letter from the record. However, a source claimed that Blake and Taylor's friendship was still left "fractured" in the wake of it. "Their friendship has halted," a source purportedly close to Taylor told People last month. "Taylor wants no part in this drama," the source added, before clarifying it didn't mean they were "not no longer friends" — they were just "taking some space." Neither Taylor nor Blake addressed the report at the time, but now, almost a month on, a source has offered an update, telling People their friendship still "isn't the same." "[They] aren't as close and haven't been spending as much time together as they did in the past," the source said. However, they claimed Taylor and Blake are trying to get back "on good terms." I guess we'll see what happens. In the meantime, BuzzFeed has reached out to reps for Taylor, Blake, and Justin for comment on the latest report.

Blake Lively Gets Org Support Amid Justin Baldoni Trial

A spokesperson for Blake Lively issued a statement as the number of organizations submitting amicus briefs in support of her amid her legal battle with Justin Baldoni hit 19. In December, Blake sued her It Ends With Us co-star and director, as well as the studio Wayfarer and other parties, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. Justin subsequently sued Blake, alleging defamation and extortion, among other things. Both parties have denied the allegations of the other. Before we get into the update, you might be wondering what an amicus brief is. It stems from the Latin phrase "friend of the court," which allows people who aren't parties in the case to submit documents of support, arguing that the impact of the case will also affect them. So, why are all these orgs issuing amicus briefs? Let's take one that's been signed by 14 women's and anti-violence organizations. In it, they argue, "The retaliatory defamation lawsuit instigated by the Wayfarer parties against Blake Livelyis another example of 'DARVO' tactics (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender) in the post-#MeToo era where perpetrators of 'sexual violence,' in particular sexual harassment, attempt to silence their victims into submission." After a new brief was filed this week by Child USA, a nonprofit against child abuse, a spokesperson for Blake issued a statement to BuzzFeed that read, "19 leading survivors and organizations devoted to women's rights, children's rights and domestic violence have now signed onto four separate amicus briefs. All are united in opposing Justin Baldoni's attempt to dismantle a law designed to protect women who speak up—simply to protect himself." Justin's attorney has been reached for comment. "The latest briefs, filed by Child USA and Sanctuary for Families, add the voices of renowned nonprofits, victim advocates, and experts from around the world who are dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of people who speak up," they continued. Justin has never been accused of child abuse. "Rather than defend his case on the facts, Baldoni is now contradicting years of his own public persona—abandoning the message of his #MeToo YouTube's, podcasts, TED Talks, and interviews, where he once upon a time urged men 'to listen to the women in your life…to hold their anguish and actually believe them, even if what they're saying is against you.' These women and organizations are sounding the alarm about his DARVO tactics, and the chilling effect they could have well beyond this case," the statement concluded. BuzzFeed has reached out to a representative for Justin for comment.

14 Shows That Stayed Perfect Vs. 10 That Flopped

Some shows are perfect. Maybe Schitt's Creek had it right when they said they'd rather quit while they were ahead than overstay their welcome. Cause doesn't it drive you crazy when your favourite show starts going off the deep end? You've spent hours falling in love with the characters, dreaming about the plot, and guessing where it will take you next, only to find out that Barney from HIMYM will undo his entire redemption and revert back to his tired and depressing character arc from season one? (I'm still not over it.) In a recent post, we shared some shows we loved from start to some that majorly fell off with disappointing endings. Then we asked the BuzzFeed Community to let us know what TV series we missed. And I'm here to share all... Let's talk about those "perfect" shows first. "Brooklyn 99 remained perfect throughout the entire story! Every single episode made me laugh out loud at least once!" "Where's Modern Family for being perfect?" "Both MASH and Barney Miller had long runs that were good from beginning to end." "How could you not have The Sopranos, The Wire, or Six Feet Under? OG HBO has almost perfect shows. Also, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is still very funny after like 20 seasons." "The Golden Girls! From the first episode, it only got better." "Buffy the Vampire Slayer was great from the first episode to the last." "Jane the Virgin was a great show beginning to end." "This is Us ran from 2016 to 2022. I have binge-watched many episodes, and it never disappoints." "Everybody Loves Raymond went out at number one and was beloved the whole time it was on." "The Big Bang Theory. Great all the way through." ones that disappointed us: "Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In season five, she had left high school, and suddenly, there were all these new "college friends" characters introduced. Just felt like an entirely different show. Then they awkwardly threw in a romantic reunion with Harvey at the end, which just came out of nowhere..." "Westworld still breaks my heart…had so much potential to be great." "The good thing about Scrubs is that the Season 8 finale serves as a perfect ending for the show. You can just entirely skip Season 9." "That '70s Show! My all-time favorite show, but holy shit, fuck the final season. Even Season 7 was a drag. Whenever I binge-watch the show now, I immediately skip to the finale after finishing Season 7." "If Heroes had been a one-season wonder, it would rightly be recognized as one of the best shows ever. Each subsequent season became progressively worse." "I thought the first two seasons of Ted Lasso and Derry Girls were perfection, but I wasn't a fan of the third season of Derry Girls, and the third season of Ted Lasso was all but unwatchable for me at times." "I love The West Wing, but after Aaron Sorkin left following the fourth season, I only stuck around to see if Josh and Donna would ever get together." "I think I'd add Gossip Girl because the reveal didn't make any sense." "Sons of Anarchy had a great first 3 seasons, but I think Kurt Sutter lost control of some plot lines and left a lot of unanswered stuff on the table." And lastly: "Any show that added a baby or young child to the cast near the end is a show that started well and ended badly." I have a few of my own. I tragically had to stop watching Downton Abbey after the season three finale, because my heart couldn't take it. (If you know, you know.) And a perfect show? To me, that is Search Party. Every season, you tell yourself, "This show can't get any more bonkers." But it never ceases to prove you wrong. Plus, I'm just a girl who loves some murder, stalkers, and MOST OF ALL cults. Pure television magic. In the comments, drop any show titles that you think we're still missing from these lists. And make sure you follow BuzzFeed Canada on TikTok and Instagram for more!
