Actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared a health update about his wife, actor Dipika Kakar, following her major surgery. Taking to his vlog, Shoaib revealed that Dipika underwent a 14-hour-long operation for stage 2 liver cancer. He said the surgery was successful, and she is out of ICU his vlog, Shoaib said, "Tomorrow is Eid al-Adha and today, on such an auspicious day, Dipika is out if the ICU. I am really grateful that she is out of the ICU, and she is with us. She was in the ICU for three days and her condition kept improving after the surgery. Around the evening, the doctors decided to shift her to the room. She will be here for a few days as the surgery was major. She was in the OT for 14 hours,' he also detailed the tense moments the family went through on the day of the operation. Dipika was taken to the OT at 8:30 AM and came out around 11:30 PM. 'At 6-7pm, we all panicked as there was no update from the OT as we had never witnessed such a serious operation. Thankfully, the doctor has assured me that if they don't come out for updates, then the surgery is going fine, and she will be all well,' he said. During the surgery, doctors also removed Dipika's gallbladder, which had a stone, and a small portion of her liver where the cancerous tumour was located. Shoaib mentioned that the doctors were confident in the liver's ability to heal itself, as it is a self-restorative organ, but emphasised the need for careful also shared how their toddler son Ruhaan coped during the three days without his mother. "On the last day, he cried a lot, and we took him to the hospital to meet Dipika. He felt better after seeing her and then went back home,' he Dipika had informed her fans on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. She recounted how a simple stomach pain led to the discovery of a tumour the size of a tennis ball. A part of her note read, "As you all are aware last few weeks have been quite difficult for us... walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach... and then finding out its a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then Finding out that the tumour is Second stage Malignant (Cancerous) ... it has been one of the most difficult time we have seen, experienced!"Must Watch
