Hundreds of David Lynch artifacts up for auction
A treasure trove of over 450 personal artifacts from the late filmmaker David Lynch is to be auctioned.
The event offers fans and collectors a rare opportunity to own pieces from the visionary director's five-decade career and personal life.
The collection spans Lynch's legendary work in film and television-including Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, and Blue Velvet-and features items from his home, studio, and woodshop.
Highlights include his iconic director's chair, a "Black Lodge" red curtain and zig-zag rug from Twin Peaks, his personal 35mm print of Eraserhead, a framed photograph from Twin Peaks: The Return, and prop menus from Mulholland Drive.
Personal items, including espresso machines and numerous cups, echo Lynch's personal love of a "damn fine cup of coffee", a line famously uttered by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks.
"This incredible collection of one of the greatest and most revered filmmakers of all time… comes directly from the home of the visionary artist whose enigmatic films stirred our most imaginative and collective surreal dreams," said Catherine Williamson, Managing Director of Entertainment at Julien's Auctions.
Lynch, who died in January at age 78, was hailed for his singular, surreal style and profound influence on modern cinema.
The Julien's Auctions and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) auction is online now and live on 18 June in Los Angeles.

Locarno Says Farewell to David Lynch With Tribute Film ‘An Unfinished Room…'
The dream world of David Lynch was back on a big outdoor screen in Switzerland, at least for a few minutes, on Wednesday evening, namely in the form of a short film entitled An Unfinished Room… The Locarno Film Festival presented the emotional, heartfelt and surprise tribute and farewell to the cinema legend on the opening night of its 78th edition on Wednesday, courtesy of Lynch mentee Duwayne Dunham, who has worked as a director (Twin Peaks: The Return) and editor (Twin Peaks, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart), and collaborators. Before the Locarno 2025 opening film unspooled, artistic director Giona A. Nazzaro set up the surprise homage without mentioning Lynch by name, saying the tribute was in memory of a creative who 'left an indelible mark' on cinema. 'He touched all our souls, he touched all our emotion,' Nazarro continued. 'His contribution to beauty, dreams, and art will never be forgotten. And tonight, we celebrate him with this tiny, wonderful masterpiece, An Unfinished Room…' More from The Hollywood Reporter Golshifteh Farahani Gets Locarno Honor From Zar Amir Ebrahimi, Calls Cinema a "Refuge" in a "Dark World" Gaumont Marks 130 Years With Academy Museum Retrospective Neon Nabs Japanese Video Game Movie Adaptation 'Exit 8' With excitement on Locarno's Piazza Grande square palpable, the movie then started on the big screen. The film featured words spoken by Lynch, discussing such things as his painting and film work and more, as well as scenes from such Lynch favorites as Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, and The Elephant Man, along with What Did Jack Do? It also included footage of Lynch painting and making music. The film was edited by Dunham, with its creative producers' credits listing Dunham, S.E. Feinberg, and David Negron. When the Twin Peaks theme started playing near the end of the short film, and the words 'David Lynch 1946-2025' showed up on the dark screen, the Locarno festival audience burst into enthusiastic applause. Dunham is also in Locarno to world premiere his Legend of the Happy Worker, 'a fable for our time,' starring Josh Whitehouse, Thomas Haden Church, and Colm Meaney out of competition. The director and some of his actors and creative team were shown on the big Locarno outdoor screen on the Wednesday opening night as they were arriving and walking the red carpet. Amy Schumer undergoes back surgery
Amy Schumer has undergone back surgery. The Life and Beth actress - who has six-year-old son Gene with husband Chris Fischer - has revealed she recently had an operation on her spine following a surfing accident. She revealed she had undergone a procedure when she shared a joke she had heard from another patient alongside a photo of herself recovering in bed. She wrote on her Instagram Story: "Overheard post back surgery 'pickleball keeps this place in business.'" Amy later shared a picture of her standing with the aid of a walking frame. She wrote: "Since my surfing injury back in the day my L5 has been killing me. Today I got a laminectomy! It's a short recovery and when I'm feeling better I will buy a bra!" Amy has previously been candid about her health issues, including her struggles with endometriosis, and last year she revealed she had been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, a hormone disorder caused by prolonged exposure to steroids. She wrote in a News Not Noise newsletter: "While I was doing press on camera for my Hulu show, I was also in MRI machines four hours at a time, having my veins shut down from the amount of blood drawn and thinking I may not be around to see my son grow up. "So, finding out I have the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I'm healthy was the greatest news imaginable." Amy was made aware of her condition after being criticised for her "puffier" face,a common side effect of Cushing syndrome. She quipped: "But thank God for that. Because that's how I realised something was wrong." Earlier this year, the Trainwreck star revealed she had had a "really good experience" with Mounjaro after struggling with Wegovy, another weight-loss drug. She said on Instagram: "Three years ago, I tried Wegovy. I was puking, I couldn't handle it. "I don't know if they've changed the formula, whatever. But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself 'cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers." Amy noted that the clinic "put [her] on oestrogen and progesterone". She continued: "I realised I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopausal have disappeared." The actress has seen a marked change in her appearance since she adopted the new drug. She said: "My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I'm talking about sex. So that's been great and Mounjaro's been great." Amy is keen to be open and honest with her followers about her weight-loss journey. She explained: "Look, it's not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or like severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have. But I'm having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that."
