Fresh off his win, the 42-year-old ditched his usual humble persona to call out Sky Sports' decision to leave him out of their adverts while covering the tournament.
Speaking to the media, he said: 'I probably played some of the better darts out of all dart players.
'And the whole Sky build-up for tonight didn't show me once. That was quite a proud moment for me, going up there and following it through.
"I probably averaged better consistently than most players in here… but not one advertisement.'
Wade, who is currently ranked No.8 in the PDC rankings, says the snub has fired him up to do even better on The Oche.
He said: "It made me a little bit more hungry. It's the kind of thing that makes me unhealthy… not weak, but it's an unfair judgement."
"The Machine" believes that despite being "one of the greatest dart players on the planet" he has been continuously had a lack of recognition throughout his career.
He continued: 'Darts isn't about who's playing great anymore. It's about who the press has got hold of and wants to publicise. That's it. That's all.'
Wade added: "You'll never hear me say this again, but I believe I'm one of the greatest dart players on the planet.
"Nobody else will do what I'm doing right now. If I win this now, no one will be sat here 20 years later doing the same."

Wade made a point of calling out darts chiefs the Professional Darts Corporation after another victory earlier in the tournament.
He joked the PDC would "change the qualifications" to play in the Premier League even if he ranks in the top four due to the body and Sky Sports thinking he's too "awkward".
The darts veteran also went on a rant and said he "didn't care" about comparisons to golfer Scottie Scheffler.

Alexander Isak to Liverpool swap transfer plan takes a blow as £65m deal nearly done
Alexander Isak is still linked to Liverpool, but a potential move looks to have taken a huge hit with another big deal in the transfer market on the verge of completion Luis Diaz's imminent move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich looks to have thwarted any potential swap deal for Alexander Isak. Diaz, 28, looks set to move to Bavaria, after Vincent Kompany's side agreed a £65.5million deal for the Colombian. The reigning Premier League champions have been active buyers in the transfer market this summer, but Diaz's exit would be a substantial sale. Liverpool's spending approached the £300m mark after they wrapped up a £79m move for Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. That figure could rise still further after Isak told Newcastle he wanted to explore a move away from St James' Park, with Arne Slot's side at the front of the queue. However, Diaz's exit may put an end to recent suggestions that Newcastle could request Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez as part of a potential swap transfer for Isak. Recent reports from German outlet Bild claimed the Magpies were considering a move for Nunez after the Reds beat them to the signature of Ekitike. The Frenchman's arrival looks to have pushed their former record signing out of Slot's first-choice eleven. With Newcastle looking for a striker and Isak seemingly looking for the exit door, a potential swap deal that would have seen the Swede and the former Benfica ace switch clubs appeared to be a possibility. However, with Diaz now departing the club, any faint chance of this deal taking place looks to be over. Slot said: "In Darwin's situation, he has trained really well and played a few good games for us already this pre-season. He was injured so we didn't want to take the risk. "It was also the same with Wata (Endo) — trained with us all week but we didn't want to take a risk with him either. It is part of pre-season, the boys need to get towards match fitness and that is a thin balance, a thin line sometimes. "In this situation we thought it was smarter for Darwin and Wata to sit it out today but I assume they will be with us when we are in Japan for the next game.' Nunez had been linked with a move to Napoli, but the Italian champions' recent signing of Udinese forward Lorenzo Lucca seemingly put an end to those rumours. Nevertheless, Liverpool are still understood to be interested in Isak, who is believed to have a price-tag of around £150m on his head. The Reds broke the Premier League transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £116m, but if they want Isak, they will have to surpass that figure significantly. Anthony Joshua drops retirement bombshell with 'final' message
The British star - who is hoping to return before the end of the year - has not fought since suffering a brutal defeat to Daniel Dubois last year Anthony Joshua has hinted that 2025 could be his final year as a professional boxer. The British boxing star has not fought since last September and is set to return to the ring before the end of the year. Joshua suffered an agonising knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium. It looked likely that the pair would face off in an immediate rematch, but 'AJ' suffered some minor injuries in the initial encounter which meant he needed more time to recover. The 35-year-old has recently undergone a successful operation on his elbow amid talks of a potential return to the ring over the next few months. There has been plenty of talk as to who Joshua's opponent will be, but as of yet, nothing has been officially confirmed. While there are still many intriguing match-ups for the Brit, Joshua has sensationally admitted that this year could be his last as a boxer. The two-time heavyweight world champion paid tribute to his promotional team Matchroom Boxing - who have managed him since his professional debut in 2013 - on Friday night, stating that his 'last punch' will be thrown this year. "Shout to Matchroom Boxing for all you have done for me and continue to do for me," Joshua wrote. "Long may you reign supreme and keep giving fighters opportunities to become champions and make boxing great. 12 years ago, I signed with you and 12 years later I will throw my last punch with you. "Royalty and loyalty is a perfect match for the great good. A toast to another 100 years of Matchroom Boxing And to finish on this… If I could start from scratch, I wouldn't change s***." Joshua's comments come just weeks after his promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that his star client is targeting two fights with Tyson Fury before calling it a day at the end of 2026. Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, he said: " Dillian Whyte was probably the frontrunner, to be honest with you. Now it looks like he's going to fight Moses - so that was a curveball. Jared Anderson's been mentioned, obviously Deontay Wilder's back soon. I think AJ would have been out the ring just over a year by the time he steps back into the ring. He will be coming off surgery, I don't think (Tyson) Fury's going to be ready to fight around that time anyway. But I expect it to be someone to gear him up for a really big fight in 2026. And probably, 2026 will be his last year in the sport." He added: "It's probably three fights away. For me, if I'm advising AJ, we're back this year, we have two Tyson Fury fights, what else is there to do? Maybe fight a Daniel Dubois, but for me once AJ fights Tyson Fury, he's kind of done it all. I'd love him to have another crack at Daniel Dubois and I'd love him to have another crack at Usyk but you just keep going on and on and on. Now, if we get to next year and he's still firing on all cylinders then 2026 won't be his last year. But for me, something feels right about coming back this year, beating Tyson Fury twice and then sailing off into the sunset." When is Anthony Joshua's next fight? Joshua is expected to make his return to the ring before the end of the year. Eddie Hearn has recently revealed that 'AJ' is now looking to move on with his career after continuously calling for a fight with Fury, but still hopes to one day settle the score with the 'Gypsy King' before calling it a day. In an interview with Sky Sports, when asked about the future of Joshua, Hearn replied: "Yeah, good, he had that operation recently... that elbow surgery, which went very well. You will see him return in October, November or December. We're looking for that opponent in the top ten. Deontay Wilder I think fights next week.
