Australian television royalty Lynne McGranger has claimed the coveted Gold Logie.
It marks a milestone year for the 72-year-old, who stepped away from her iconic role as Irene Roberts on the cult-hit Home and Away in March, ending a decades-long chapter in Australian TV history.
"I am thrilled and honoured," she said moments after accepting the award, beaming with emotion.
Six other TV personalities were vying for the Gold Logie - 2023 winner Sonia Kruger, Ten's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! host Julia Morris, ABC's Lisa Millar, MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, A Current Affair host Ally Langdon and two-time Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake, host of Lego Masters.
Magda Szubanski earlier took centre stage - via video - as she was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame.
The beloved comedian and actor recently revealed her diagnosis of stage four blood cancer and was unable to attend the awards.
True to form, Szubanski worked her audience with tears and laughs as she accepted her honour in a pre-recorded speech, adding her award was in no way due to her cancer.
"I am getting this because of 40 years of hard work. Lobbying, bribing, threatening, whatever it took, whatever it took. Finally it has all paid off," she said.
She ended her speech by removing her beanie to reveal a clean-shaven head and joking she had her "hair done specifically so it would match" her Gold Logie.
"The Australian TV industry is a terrific industry to work in and it is chock-a-block full of really good people, a few rogues but mostly really good people," she said.
Szubanski, best known for her beloved role as Sharon Strzelecki in the comedy series Kath & Kim, received a standing ovation.
Fisk was one of the night's biggest winners, taking home five Logie Awards, including Best Scripted Comedy Program.

Based on her book of the same name, the powerful documentary traces Dokic's journey from refugee to tennis champion, while confronting the trauma of her abusive relationship with her father.
Journalist Ally Langdon was all smiles as she accepted the inaugural Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter.
The award was presented by Martin, who said he was honoured to be recognised with the tribute, adding he had never seen journalism more under siege than it is today.
Gold Logie nominee Langdon, who hosts Nine's A Current Affair, thanked the media veteran for his service to news in Australia.
Langdon was also part of the Channel Nine team that won the Logie for Best Sports Coverage for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He went on to congratulate and roast each nominee for the coveted Gold Logie and some of the commercial networks' biggest stars - from The Voice host Sonia Kruger to 20-year Today Show veteran Karl Stefanovic and former talk show queen Kerri-Anne Kennerley.

Kandi Burruss makes host Steve Harvey blush with raunchy answer on Celebrity Family Feud

Celebrity Family Feud Season 11 is in full swing. Hosted by the Steve Harvey, the long-running ABC game show in the US has been blessed with some incredible stars. So far, audiences have seen the families of Taraji P. Henson and Jennifer Hudson face off against each other. The casts of General Hospital and The Young and the Restless delighted viewers with their friendly (and not-so-friendly at times) rivalry. But this week's episode is for Bravo fans. Former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and current Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards have brought some of their loved ones along to duke it out as they try to win money for charity. On Team Kyle, playing for Nami (National Alliance on Mental Illness), are Richards' four daughters: Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky and Portia Umansky. On Team Kandi, playing for Kandi Cares (Burruss' own charity), are Burruss' daughter Riley Burruss; Burruss' stepdaughter Kaela Tucker; Burruss' cousin Kight Dallas; and, Kandi Koated Entertainment GM DonJuan Clark. Anything can happen when these two celebrity teams try to glean what the 'survey said.' In this exclusive clip from tonight's episode, Burruss and her team are now are in control of the question. Harvey stands by team captain Burruss to playfully pose the question: 'We asked 100 women: name something you do to a bald man's head to get him in the mood.' Burruss, who has never been shy about sharing details of her sex life, winces and grits her teeth as she thinks of an answer. 'Oh, man,' says Burruss. 'Um, I'm gonna say straddle it.' Immediately, the crowd begins to hoot and holler. With a big grin, Burruss turns to the audience as they cheer for her raunchy response. Burruss' daughters can only giggle. Harvey, a bald man himself, takes a minute as he lets Burruss' steamy guess settle in. 'You know when you hear something and you don't know what to do?' Harvey asks the audience as he squirms. Harvey collects himself and continues. 'That is such a Kandi answer, though.' Aware of the fact that she only knows how to be herself, Burruss just laughs and nods. Harvey turns to the board and yells 'Straddle it,' as a big red X flashes on the screen, indicating that Burruss' guess was not one of the top 5 responses from the survey.

Home and Away star Lukas Radovich marries professional netballer Liam Forcadilla in lavish Sydney wedding

Former Home and Away star Lukas Radovich has married professional netball player Liam Forcadilla. The actor and athlete tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Sydney on Friday. Forcadilla — captain of the Australian men's netball team, the Kelpies — and Radovich — who played Ryder Jackson on Home and Away from 2017 to 2022 — got married near the Seven studio in Eveleigh. Confetti fell on the newlyweds as they danced beneath a spotlight, surrounded by cheering loved ones, at the candlelit Grounds of Alexandria. The grooms shared footage of their first dance, set to Taylor Swift's song, Love, on social media alongside the caption: 'You can hear the love in the room.' Among their star-studded guest list was former Home and Away star Courtney Miller, who played Bella Nixon on the show from 2018 to 2022. Miller called their marriage 'the greatest love story ever' in a comment on social media beneath footage of the special night. 'Glad to be by your side, my boys.' 'Absolutely magical! Congratulations to you both,' Stephanie Panozzo, who plays Home and Away's Eden Fowler, also commented on the post. Notable netballers also congratulated the love birds, with Melbourne Mavericks stars Amy Parmenter and Sasha Glasgow also gushing in the comments. Radovich and Forcadilla got engaged in 2024, and had already sent out their wedding invites when they spoke to The Morning Show about the Push Up Challenge for Mental Health in May this year. 'We support each other through the highs and lows,' Forcadilla said. 'It's a big reason why I love Lukas, he's always got my back and always championing me from my corner. 'I better put that in my vows,' he joked.

Instagram Reposts launches in new app upgrade

Almost 15 years after launching, social media giant Instagram has taken pages out of TikTok and Snapchat's books — adding three new features to their app. The changes were announced by parent company Meta on Wednesday, with roll-outs for the new features within Australia happening on Thursday. The new features have Aussies talking, with Instagram trending as a top Google search in the country throughout Wednesday and Thursday — so what are the new features, and how do they work? Instagram Reposts The new Repost feature allows users to share content in their feed - with a tab on their profile letting them see everything they've reposted. Credit: Meta The biggest change that Australians have seen to their Instagram feeds allows users to share public reels and feed posts with their followers – with the app following TikTok's lead and branding the function 'reposts.' The Meta team behind the update explained friends and followers can see any repost made, with any shared content crediting the original creator. 'Reposts will be recommended to your friends and followers in their feeds, and they'll also be in a separate tab on your profile, so you can always go back to revisit your reposts,' the Meta team explained. Users also have the option of adding personal notes to reposts by typing a message in the thought bubble that appears. New 'Friends' tab in Reels Users can choose to watch only Reels friends have made or interacted with. Credit: Meta Following the success of short-form video content, Instagram has also updated their Reels section. A new 'Friends' tab has appeared on Instagram's Reels page, allowing users to view videos that friends have like, reposted, commented on, and created. 'Friends will help you see which reels the people you care about most are creating and engaging with,' Meta said in relation to the new tab. Officials at the app have also confirmed they are working to upgrade features of the Friends tab over the next couple of weeks, allowing users the ability to hide content they've liked and commented from appearing in this section. Instagram Maps The new Maps feature lets users see what friends are nearby and view content within their area. Credit: Meta A new-US exclusive feature on the app has caused waves online — allowing users to share their location with others in real time, letting them to see content posted nearby from friends and other creators. Similar to the map feature on Snapchat, users are given the option to opt out of location-sharing but will still be able to view the map and people who have chosen to share. The maps feature also includes a parental supervision update, allowing parents to receive notifications if their teen has shared their location and allowing them to control the feature's availability. While this feature has not hit Australian's accounts yet, the Meta team behind the update promises Maps will have 'global availability very soon.'
