On Friday, families of army personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Kargil War of 1999 gathered at Lamochen Viewpoint in Drass to pay heartfelt tributes to the heroes of the war.

, saw emotional recollections from family members of fallen soldiers.
The gathering at Lamochen Viewpoint served as a poignant reminder of the courage and selflessness displayed by Indian soldiers during the Kargil conflict.

Siddaramaiah lays foundation for new Congress office in Mysuru
Mysuru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a new Congress office in Mysuru. The CM laid the foundation stone for the new Congress office, officially named Indira Congress Bhavana, at the site of the party's existing office premises. He appealed to party workers to contribute towards the construction of the new office. "Even a contribution of Rs 500 can make a difference," he said, urging everyone to donate according to their capacity. Pune/Nashik: Supporting NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar 's claim that two individuals approached him guaranteeing 160 seats for the opposition alliance in the state assembly election, senior Congress member Balasaheb Thorat on Saturday said he believed the duo were indicating that EVMs could be hacked. Thorat was in Nashik on Saturday for a meeting with Congress functionaries. Interacting with media persons, Thorat said, "There is enough proof to doubt the transparency and integrity of the Election Commission of India (ECI)."
