EastEnders' Tony Discipline works up a sweat at new Fire Brigade job after quitting soap and split with Jacqueline Jossa

SOAP star Tony Discipline has traded EastEnders for a new life working in the fire service – and is currently deep in training.
To most EastEnders fans, he will be known as Tyler Moon, the troubled son of David Essex's Eddie Moon and cousin to the legendary Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).

Appearing on the show from 2011 to 2013, Tyler proved to be a volatile character. As an amateur boxer he would take on bouts which his older brother Michael (Steve John Shepherd) would fix without his knowledge.
This ultimately caused Tyler massive trouble as, after agreeing to an illegal fight, suffered a seizure from the amount of hits he took to the face.
While his character was certainly a hard nut, 12 years on Tony is now using his own brute force for good, working with the London Fire Service.
Spotted running through drills at his base, Tony was barely recognisable as he was spotted completing runs.
It seems elements of Tyler stayed with him though, with Tony wearing a red t-shirt that reveals he's a member of the LFS Boxing Club.
Speaking of his new job, Tony previously told The Sun: 'I love it. Every day is different and you feel you're helping your community.
"It can be quite dangerous but you're trained to deal with those situations.'
During his time on EastEnders, Tony sparked a relationship with Jacqueline Jossa, with the pair dating for 18 months before splitting in 2013, around the time that he left the soap.
On screen, Tony's character Tyler found himself at one point in a love triangle with Jossa's character Lauren Branning and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).
However, Tyler's feelings for Whitney became most prominent, with the pair becoming a will they/won't they couple during his entire time on the Square.

But after years of ups and downs, as well as becoming entangled in his family's increasingly sketchy businesses, Tyler decided he had enough and left in 2013 in a stolen sports car.
He was last known to be going to work on a cruise ship alongside his brother Anthony.
However, Tony has never ruled out a potential return.
'I loved my time there," he told us.
"It was a great chapter in my life and if the opportunity ever came up, I would definitely be interested.'
Since his EastEnders exit, Kent-born actor Tony has been busy grafting off-screen, also working as a bartender at his own bar, The Tipsy Trailer.
While acting has taken a backseat in his life, he does continue to do some jobs – appearing in an episode of Doctors in 2024, and this year appearing in the movie, Dream Hacker.

Vicki hits 'tragic' pervert Joel with a very serious warning in EastEnders
Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) has issued her final warning to sick Joel Marshall (Max Murray) in EastEnders. It's about time that somebody shuts down his disgusting behaviour once and for all – but with Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) reluctant to turn his back on his son, he's pretty much been given free reign to do whatever he wants. In tonight's episode, however, Vicki swore to put a stop to that. She can see that her partner is effectively enabling Joel's vile ways, and won't stand for it any longer. Soon after his arrival, we discovered that Joel had upskirted a pupil in his class, and her family had ordered him to leave Australia in exchange for their silence. They'd also accepted a hefty $50,000 sum. The teen showed no signs of changing – recording himself sleeping with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), and introducing Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) to pornography. He then showed his new mate videos from an influencer, who spoke about women in a derogatory manner. The lads skived off school to take a trip into The City. On their journey home, Joel demanded Tommy whip out his phone and record something shocking. He stumbled through the carriage, falling onto a girl and touching her inappropriately. Later, Vicki met up with the victim and handed her £2,000 in exchange for her silence. In the aftermath, despite promising to do better, Joel has tore strips off Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), before seemingly leaking the latter's SecretCam content online. This came just days after Ross snapped branded his son a 'disgusting little pervert.' With the police reluctant to investigate, this couldn't be proved – but Stace' is adamant that he's responsible. Joel spiralled further after learning that Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) had aborted their unborn child, and attempted to slap her. A furious Vicki charged in his way, and dragged him home. He reeled off a number of sick ideologies, including his belief that reproduction is the purpose of womanhood. She begged him to open his eyes and wondered if he looked at her any different having not had any children herself. In a truly horrifying move, he asserted that if she pushes him further, she'd find out that a 'proper slapping would do [her] the world of good.' In tonight's episode, Joel goaded Stacey, spelling it out to her that he was responsible for leaking her content and didn't care about the consequences for her. She asserted that he was nothing more than a 'dirty, disgusting little perv' and while he may have fooled the others, he hadn't fooled her. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Meanwhile, Vicky attempted to corner Ross and fill him in on last week's events – but he quickly shut her down. More Trending Realising that her family's trauma would only continue for as long as Ross brushed off her concerns, she then caught Joel outside, calling him 'tragic'. He laughed in her face, but the smirk was soon wiped off when she told him in future she wouldn't hesitate to call the police. View More » Will Joel finally learn a lesson? Exit storyline for Cain in Emmerdale amid huge murder shock
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) received an unexpected phone call in this evening's episode of Emmerdale. Earlier this year, Cain was told that his son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) had been murdered. It absolutely knocked him for six, as he had spent from September 2024 onwards believing that Nate had cut off all contact with his family in the village. The most recent development has seen Cain discover that a man called Owen (Simon Haines) confessed to murdering his son, but we know that this isn't true. In reality, Nate's actual killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) framed Owen by writing a suicide note that confessed to the crime. He did this in the hope it would give Cain and Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) some closure. It was a massive mistake, however, as the news left Cain and Tracy with the realisation that they would never truly understand why Owen murdered Nate. On top of this, Cain has dealt with family drama involving the likes of Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) . He's been through a lot, so it was a very welcomed and pleasant surprise when daughter Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) rang him in tonight's ep. In May, Debbie contacted Sarah and revealed that she had moved to Australia with her new boyfriend. Debbie departing for Australia – surprisingly – upset Cain a great deal. At the time, he had learnt that Nate had seemingly organised for his things to be moved from the village and to Shetland, so another one of his children leaving him hit pretty hard. Cain spoke to Debbie in this evening's episode as he wandered through the village. His daughter wanted him to visit, and Cain rightfully pointed out that if Debbie wanted to see her family, she would've returned for Nate's funeral. It was a fairly pleasant conversation, but it was interrupted by the arrival of DC Cole. The detective confirmed to Cain that new information has come to light regarding Nate's investigation. Later, Cain told a very shaken John that the police now believe Owen did not murder Nate. What will John do this time to cover his tracks? And will Cain leave the village to go and see Debbie? Doing something to stop the police looking in his direction where Nate is concerned may have to wait for John this week. A few days ago, a trailer was revealed that sees John chase Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) through the woods, moments after he discovers the truth about him. Mack dashes through the trees but ends up falling. Alongside these clips, we see John telling Mack that he has now 'joined up the dots'. While this is happening, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) looks set to confront Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). They will share a kiss on Monday, but Robert reckons that Aaron still loves him and doesn't want to leave with John. At the end of the trailer, Mackenzie is seen begging for his life as John throws a large rock above his head, presumably preparing for the moment he murders Mack. 'Guess I really am the bad guy', John says. More Trending If Mackenzie is murdered by John, it will be the first time (as far as we are aware) that he truly intends to kill someone. When Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) was killed, John never planned for it to happen. He gave Nate some medication and he had a bad reaction to it, leading to his death. Could this be a sign that John will now become even more unhinged, ahead of his inevitable exit?
