The biggest night of fashion has finally arrived in the form of Met Gala 2025 as we saw all the celebrities across the globe gracing the stage donning wonderful outfits. The annual fundraiser, which raises money for the museum's Costume Institute, saw stars from Bollywood, Hollywood and other entertainment industries including music.

What is Black dandyism?
In simple words, a dandy is a man who is dressed sharply. He is perfectly groomed, refined and has excellent manners. Beau Brummell is considered the first dandy. A figure of Regency England was known for personal appearance and inspired men in the late 18th and 19th centuries. It also led to employ good hygiene and experimenting with trendy garments and trying something new apart from aristocratic ways of dressing.
As per Ty Gaskins, this style is better defined as a 'fashion revolution'. 'In a world where Black people have been marginalized, the dandy became a figure who defied the rigid categories of race and class that sought to confine them,' Gaskins wrote.

In fact, in the recent blockbuster Sinners, we see the lead actor Michael B Jordan embracing black dandyism as he portrayed the dual roles of twin brothers Smoke and Stack. The movie directed by Ryan Coogler is set in 1932 in the Mississippi Delta. It also featured Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O'Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo in prominent roles.

Last Updated: Khaby Lame, the world's most popular TikTok personality with millions of followers, has left the US after being detained by immigration agents in Las Vegas. Days after social media influencer Khabane 'Khaby' Lame was detained by the US immigration agents in Las Vegas for allegedly overstaying his visa, the popular TikTok personality has left the US. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, whose legal name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was detained on Friday at Harry Reid International Airport but was allowed to leave the country without a deportation order, a spokesperson for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed in a statement. According to the ICE spokesperson, Lame arrived in the US on April 30 and "overstayed the terms of his visa". However, the influence has not publicly commented on his detainment. His detainment and voluntary departure from the US come amid President Donald Trump's escalating crackdown on immigration, including raids in Los Angeles. Massive protests have erupted in Los Angeles against ICE, as the president tests the bounds of his executive authority. Khaby Lame Departs Voluntarily A voluntary departure — which was granted to Lame — allows those facing removal from the US to avoid a deportation order on their immigration record, which could prevent them from being allowed back into the US for up to a decade. The 25-year-old rose to international fame during the pandemic without ever saying a word in his videos, which would show him reacting to absurdly complicated "life hacks." He has over 162 million followers on TikTok alone. Lame, last month, attended the Met Gala in New York City, days after arriving in the US.
