Swift's website contains a countdown that expires at 7 p.m. EDT alongside a glittery door—but it's unclear what the door represents.
Swift announced at 12:12 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, Aug. 12—seemingly all references to her upcoming 12th studio album—that 'The Life of a Showgirl' is the title of her next project, though she stopped short of unveiling the cover or a release date.
Also Tuesday, the 'New Heights' podcast, co-hosted by Swift's boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, announced Swift would appear as their guest on Wednesday night's episode at 7 p.m. EDT.
The 'New Heights' podcast teased Swift's upcoming appearance with a few short clips shared on social media. In a clip shared Tuesday, Swift is seen sitting with Travis Kelce as she opens a briefcase marked 'T.S.,' where she holds her new album up to the camera, though the cover is blurred. In other clips, Jason Kelce lists Swift's achievements, including her 14 Grammy Award wins, while Swift says: 'We're about to do a f—ing podcast!' The 'New Heights' podcast posts new episodes to YouTube in video format and on most podcast streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. What Do We Know About Swift's New Album?
Not much, aside from the title. Swift hasn't announced any of the song titles or collaborators, though much of her promotion has been orange-hued, suggesting that may be the primary color scheme. Swift curated a playlist of her own songs, titled, "And, baby, that's show business for you ❤️🔥,' on her Spotify account, which fans could access by scanning a billboard in New York City. Fans noticed all 22 songs on the playlist were produced by Swedish producer Max Martin, a prolific pop hitmaker who previously worked with Swift on her albums 'Red,' '1989' and 'Reputation,' which some took as a hint that she may have recruited Martin again for her new record.
Swift's new release ends what has been a quiet 2025 for the pop billionaire so far. Since wrapping up her $2 billion-grossing Eras Tour in December, she seldom posted on social media except to celebrate that she bought back the rights to her first six albums from Shamrock Capital in May, ending the master recording dispute that spurred her to re-record and re-release her early work. Swift's last album release was 'The Tortured Poets Department' in April 2024, which shattered streaming and sales records upon release and led the Billboard 200 albums chart for 17 weeks, her longest-leading album. Forbes Valuation
Swift is worth $1.6 billion, according to Forbes estimates. She joined the billionaire ranks in 2023, partially thanks to the success of the Eras Tour, making her the first person to become a billionaire based solely on the value of her music catalog and concert tours. Further Reading

Gatlin Celebrates a Swiftie Coincidence as She Drops New ‘Eldest Daughter' Singles
Gatlin once joked that she 'owed her life' to Taylor Swift for several reasons — and now she has two more Swiftie coincidences to add to the list. On Wednesday night, as she dropped her singles 'Happy' and 'Pipe Dream,' Gatlin celebrated the fact that her upcoming debut album, The Eldest Daughter, shares its title with a song on Swift's newly announced record. 'This cannot be made up!!' Gatlin wrote on TikTok, reacting to the news, also celebrating that Swift is dropping her album The Life of a Showgirl on Oct. 3, the same release date as her debut LP. Gatlin's song 'Pipe Dream,' which she self-produced and wrote, about 'comparing everything' to the success of her biggest track, 'What If I Love You,' which has generated more than 85 million streams on Spotify. 'Nothing was even coming close to touching it, and my value and worth as a creative was very tied up in that,' she said in a press statement about 'Pipe Dream.' 'It's a song where I'm just looking at my life and realizing I've put all my eggs in this music basket … and what happens if all of this doesn't work out.' Gatlin's other song 'Happy' is about her struggle with depression and some of the 'peak delusion' thoughts she'd have: 'I would sometimes daydream about ending up in the hospital so then this guy I liked would come visit me and realize he was desperately in love with me — and also would remember to text me back,' she said of the track. Ahead of The Eldest Daughter's release, the singer will throw an album-preview party in Los Angeles on Sept. 17 to play songs from the album for the first time. She'll also perform in Orlando, Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, and Boston through mid-October. Gatlin's Track List 1. 'Florida Man'2. 'If She Was a Boy'3. 'Man of the House'4. 'Soho House Valet'5. Bailey Zimmerman and The Kid Laroi Ride Limos and SEMA Trucks in ‘Lost' Video
On Friday, Bailey Zimmerman marked the release of his album Different Night Same Rodeo on Friday with a desert-racing video for his new single 'Lost,' featuring The Kid Laroi. The playful video shows Zimmerman and The Kid Laroi leaning into their opposite lifestyles — Zimmerman behind the wheel of a Chevy SEMA truck, and Laroi cruising in the back of a black limousine in the middle of the desert. The two trade verses as Zimmerman does donuts around the limo, with the pop-country song soundtracking the scene. ''Cause half of me disappeared / When those taillights didn't turn back / Now I'm lost in the memory / Lost in the blue.' Zimmerman and The Kid Laroi filmed the video in Nevada and spent the day together in Las Vegas before shooting. They walked the Vegas Strip and stopped to meet fans along the way. The video was shot in 105-degree heat, and they got custom license plates for both vehicles. Zimmerman led Different Night Same Rodeo with songs such as 'Backup Plan' featuring Luke Combs, 'Holy Smokes,' and 'New to Country.' The LP also includes a collab with Diplo and songs such as 'When It Was' and 'Everything But Up.' '2 years of work, 18 songs, and a few dang good friends,' Zimmerman wrote about the album on Instagram Friday. The singer announced the album while performing at CMA Fest's Spotify House back in June. 'For the last two years, I've been working really hard on my new album,' Zimmerman said at the time. 'This album is something different… Everybody around me feels like it's the album I'm supposed to put out.'
