
Western Midstream to buy Aris Water for $1.5 billion
The U.S. natural gas-focused pipeline operator has been seeking to create a leading water infrastructure platform in the top U.S. oilfield and diversify its customer base across West Texas and southeastern New Mexico.
Aris shareholders will receive 0.625 common units of Western Midstream for each Aris share, or $25 per share in cash. The maximum cash consideration for the transaction is $415 million.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.

SEOUL, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Shares in South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix fell 3.1% in early Thursday trade, after President Donald Trump said the U.S. will impose a tariff of about 100% on chips. SK Hynix supplies Nvidia (NVDA.O), opens new tab with chips called high-bandwidth memory used in artificial intelligence chipsets. Trump said on Wednesday the United States will impose a tariff of about 100% on semiconductors imported from countries not producing in the U.S. or planning to do so.
