Three-Time Pro Bowler Carted Off as Eagles' Super Bowl Repeat Hopes Take Potential Hit
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Dickerson is exploring additional treatment options to determine what comes next and how much time he will be sidelined.
The injury occurred during a pass play where Jalen Hurts connected with Saquon Barkley in the flat on the opposite side of the field, according to ESPN's Tim McManus. Dickerson stayed down for several minutes before being helped off the field, unable to put weight on his right leg.
Dickerson's injury history raises additional concerns. He tore both ACLs while at Florida State and Alabama and played through a left knee injury during Philadelphia's Super Bowl run earlier this year. Despite being limited in Saturday's practice with a knee issue, he was a full participant Sunday.
The Eagles boast one of the NFL's elite offensive lines, making any extended absence by Dickerson a significant blow to their championship aspirations.
The 26-year-old Dickerson signed a four-year, $84 million extension in March 2024.

Chris Russo furious over Pete Alonso Mets record hoopla — and Gary Cohen's call
The Mets were barking up the wrong tree. ESPN personality and former WFAN host Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo went off about the celebration following Pete Alonso breaking Darryl Strawberry's franchise home run record Tuesday with No. 253. Advertisement 'I cannot believe the big deal people are making about Pete Alonso being the franchise record-holder now for home runs,' Russo said on ESPN's 'First Take' on Wednesday morning. 'Nobody in Metville that I know, and I know a lot of Met fans, after a stretch where they've lost 11 of 12 and allowed the Phillies to bury them in the NL East. Now, we're going to make a big deal about Alonso's home run?' Russo continued by criticizing Mets announcer Gary Cohen for his boisterous reaction to Alonso's 253rd career home run. Advertisement 4 Chris Russo absolutely hated the Mets' celebration of Pete Alonso. Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post 'And I love Gary Cohen, but did you hear his call? This is a little over the top,' Russo continued before impatiently pleading with show producers to play the video. Advertisement Cohen gave a double 'Outta here' call when Alonso flicked the ball the opposite way for a home run in the third inning of a 13-5 win. 'You can't even tell me what the home run record was before this nonsense,' a furious Russo yelled. 4 Pete Alonso got a curtain call on Tuesday. IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect 'This is ridiculous, and by the way, if the Mets love Alonso so much, why didn't they pay him in the offseason for crying out loud?' Advertisement He added:'254 homers? That's ridiculously low.' 4 Gary Cohen (r) reacts to Alonso's record homer. @SNYTV/X Alonso signed a two-year contract worth $54 million last offseason, although there is an opt-out after this season, which he likely will exercise after posting strong numbers this year. Even with Tuesday's win, the Mets are in a brutal stretch that has them now five games behind the Phillies in the NL East and only two games clear of a postseason berth. Alonso hit two home runs Tuesday to push the new record to 254.

Jalen Hurts, Shedeur Sanders had 'lengthy conversation' after practice
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been a sponge during the preseason, soaking up as much information from veterans as he can. On Monday, the Browns' social media team shared a mic'd up moment of Sanders asking teammate and star defensive end Myles Garrett how he would plan his pass rush against the rookie quarterback. On Wednesday, Sanders had a "lengthy conversation" with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and reigning Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts after practice. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo snapped a picture of the two quarterbacks chatting on the practice field, separate from the rest of their teammates at the Browns and Eagles' joint practice. The Eagles' head of security, "Big Dom" DiSandro, stood nearby. SHEDEUR SANDERS INJURY: Latest news, updates on Browns QB During a media availability session later in the day, Hurts told reporters some details of what the conversation was about. "I'll keep the conversation intimate. We had a very lengthy conversation," Hurts said. "He came to me and just wanted to talk. I'm always there, I said earlier, giving my perspective on what I see and how I've gone about things. "Ultimately, it takes a great deal of patience and hard work and a sense of resilience. You gotta want it. You gotta want it. And so, I'm supporting him from where I am and wishing him nothing but the best with this opportunity." After their conversation, Hurts gave Sanders a golf cart ride back to the teams' locker rooms. According to the Browns, Sanders suffered an oblique injury near the start of the Browns' Wednesday practice. His decision to stick around to have a conversation with Hurts after practice seems to show a commitment to learning every day, even when he's not a full participant in practice. The Browns are scheduled to play their second preseason game against the Eagles on Saturday. Cleveland had planned for Sanders to start the game if fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who has been dealing with hamstring tightness, had been unable to go, according to reports. With Sanders' oblique injury, his status for the game is unclear. The Week 2 preseason game is scheduled to kick off at Lincoln Financial Field at 1 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon. NFL Network will simulcast the Eagles' local broadcast to a national audience.

Floor and ceiling win total projections for 2025 Indianapolis Colts
ESPN's FPI model has projected the floor and ceiling win totals for the 2025 Indianapolis Colts. What is the floor and what is the ceiling for the 2025 Indianapolis Colts? As you can guess, that's a pretty wide range and will likely be determined by the play of the quarterback. To get an idea of how good--or bad--this year's Colts team can be, we turn to ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI). The projected win totals that this model came up with take into account 20,000 simulations of the entire 2025 season. To find the high and low win total marks, the ESPN research team picked out the middle 90% of those simulations to determine the floor and ceiling for each team. So what's the best and worst case scenario for the Colts based on the FPI model? On the high end, the Colts go 11-6. With steady quarterback play, one can see how this is possible. Around the quarterback is a well-put-together roster that the Colts have. The offensive line should be stout, and in the backfield is Jonathan Taylor. The Colts were also the only team last season to have three wide receivers each eclipse 800 receiving yards, while Indianapolis added Tyler Warren this offseason as well. The secondary was also reshaped this offseason, and the addition of Lou Anarumo as defensive coordinator should help elevate the entire unit. On the flip side, the low end for the Colts is 5-12. Even with up and down quarterback play again, I still think the overall roster is too good to be just a five-win team, but with poor quarterback play, it can't be ruled out either.
