Travis Kelce
has officially addressed the swirling rumors about his offseason weight loss, and he's not holding back. During the Kansas City Chiefs' mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, the veteran tight end took a moment to clear the air after headlines suggested he had dropped a dramatic 25 pounds.
'Don't believe all you read on the internet, guys, all right?' Kelce joked when asked about the report, brushing off the viral claims with a grin. Though he admitted that he's 'down some weight from the end of the season last year,' Kelce firmly stated, 'I never told anybody' he had lost 25 pounds.
Travis Kelce finally sets the record straight on rumored 25-pound weight loss this offseason
This clarification came after ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the 35-year-old had revealed to close contacts that he had slimmed down significantly.
'He's told people close to him that he's lost about 25 pounds this offseason,' Fowler said on SportsCenter, adding that Kelce 'vowed to change' his playing weight after carrying more than usual during the 2024 season.
Whether or not the number is accurate, one thing is certain—Travis Kelce has been putting in the work. The three-time Super Bowl champion explained that the offseason finally gave him some breathing room to reset and focus on improving his form.

'Each year's different,' Kelce said. "I'm down some weight from the end of the season last year. This year, I got some time to really focus on some form running. Certainly feeling good, and it'll pay off," Kelce said, via Charles Goldman.
Kelce's weight became a talking point earlier this year when, during an episode of the New Heights podcast, he joked with his brother Jason Kelce that they were 'in the same weight class,' referencing his own offseason weight gain.
Jason, who recently retired, didn't hold back either, noting Travis had 'been drinking more.'
That playful banter stood in stark contrast to the more serious commitment Travis showed in the months following his Super Bowl win. Between romantic getaways with
Taylor Swift
and public appearances with teammate Patrick Mahomes, Kelce also prioritized his health. The duo even joked about their 'dad bods' during Kansas City's annual Big Slick Celebrity Party in June.
With training camp now underway and retirement talks looming, Kelce appears more focused than ever. He has reportedly spent most of the offseason in Florida grinding through workouts, determined to keep performing at an elite level. After facing criticism last season for not being in top shape, the Chiefs star seems intent on proving that won't be the case this year.
If anyone thought he was coasting into the twilight of his career, Kelce's renewed dedication to fitness says otherwise.

WHAT THE! A rugby-inspired collission sport gathers momentum; coroner raises alarm

Representational image (Photo by) A New Zealand coroner has raised concerns about a dangerous rugby-inspired sport called "Runit," where participants collide with each other without protective equipment. The sport involves competitors standing 20 meters apart, running directly at each other, with victory determined by who dominates the collision. Coroner Bruce Hesketh included these observations while investigating an unrelated death of a rugby league player. The Runit Championship League, based in Australia, expanded to New Zealand this year, offering NZ$20,000 for regional competition winners and NZ$200,000 for the tournament champion. The sport has gained popularity through social media, leading to unofficial events in both Australia and New Zealand. A tragic incident occurred in May when 19-year-old Ryan Satterthwaite lost his life due to a severe head injury during an unofficial event in New Zealand. "The competition has all the hallmarks of perilous activity that makes no attempt to mitigate head injury. There appears to be no governing body, the activity is not regulated and has no written publicly accessible rules of participation. Neither is there any information to players around the signs and dangers of concussion or concussion management." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Contrata y llévate la Instalación Gratis Movistar Prosegur Alarmas Prueba ahora Undo "Furthermore, all the applicable team sporting bodies involved have invested heavily in concussion awareness, prevention, identity and management." Hesketh noted that while traditional rugby players aim to avoid tackles, Runit participants actively seek collisions. The coroner advised against recognising Runit as an official sport. The Runit Championship League markets itself as the "home of collisions." Following Satterthwaite's death, New Zealand police issued warnings about the significant injury risks associated with the sport. During the league's first Auckland event in May, two participants were knocked unconscious, and one suffered seizures from a head injury. The crowd of over 1,000 people cheered during the collision that caused the seizures. The league organisers relocated the final event to Dubai's Agenda Arena on June 28 after facing calls for a ban in New Zealand. The organisation is providing travel arrangements for all competitors to attend the Dubai final. Game On Season 1 kicks off with Sakshi Malik's inspiring story. Watch Episode 1 here

India vs England projected XI of Headingley Test: Who will occupy the No. 3 spot? Will India go with two spinners?

Shubman Gill will lead India in the five-match Test series against England. The first Test will be played at Headingley in Leeds. (Getty Images) Shubman Gill is set to take centre stage as a revamped Indian team, without the retired Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, aim to break an 18-year drought and clinch a Test series win in England. Gill stepped into the captaincy role after Rohit retired from Tests last month. Shortly afterward, Kohli also confirmed his retirement from red-ball cricket. On top of leading the team, Gill faces the challenge of replacing Kohli at the crucial No. 4 spot in the batting lineup. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! India's vice-captain, Rishabh Pant, confirmed on Wednesday that Gill will bat at number four for the opening Test of the five-match series against England, starting Friday at Headingley. 14:48 IND vs ENG: Rishabh Pant opens up on chemistry with Shubman Gill and England challenge At 25 years old, Gill has a modest Test average of 35 across 32 matches, which drops to 29 in away games and falls below 15 in his three Tests played in England. The number four position in India's lineup has historically been dominated by legends Sachin Tendulkar and Kohli, who together accumulated 21,056 runs in 278 Tests from that slot. Gill's initial hurdle will be balancing the pressures of captaincy with maintaining his batting performance in England, where India have only triumphed in three Test series — in 1971, 1986, and 2007. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo He will have the energetic support of Pant, who returned strongly after surviving a serious car accident in 2022, alongside promising opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, one of cricket's emerging talents. Nick Knight EXCLUSIVE: On Shubman Gill and absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma in England India will also need to manage without key players beyond batting, as their preparation time in England has been limited. Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the world's best all-format bowler, will be managed for his workload and might only feature in three of the five Tests. Without retired R Ashwin and Mohammed Shami, there are concerns over India's ability to take 20 wickets required for a Test win. England announced their team for the first Test on Wednesday, with Brydon Carse and Chris Woakes slated to open the bowling attack, recovering from injuries that kept them out of Zimbabwe matches. Josh Tongue and Shoaib Bashir have retained their places in the England XI, with Gus Atkinson missing due to a hamstring injury, while captain Ben Stokes completes the attack. LIVE from Leeds: Rishabh Pant's big revelation on Shubman Gill and more In the batting, it will be Ollie Pope, rather than Jacob Bethell, who will bat at No. 3. Pope, England's vice-captain, had made his position vulnerable after a poor run last year. Moreover, Bethell had made himself count in New Zealand, which prompted serious consideration about the No. 3 spot. But Stokes and Brendon McCullum have opted to stick with Pope. Bethell scored three half-centuries in his first three Tests, including a 96 runs knock in Wellington. Pope, meanwhile, occupied the No. 6 spot. But Pope returned to No. 3 against Zimbabwe, as Bethell played in the IPL, and scored 171 to push his case for retention, which was answered. Keerthy Suresh on what drew her to 'Uppu Kappurambu': Its blend of satire, heart

The makers of Telugu film "Uppu Kappurambu" unveiled its trailer on Thursday and its lead actress Keerthy Suresh said the unique blend of satire and heart drew her to the film. "What drew me to Uppu Kappurambu was its unique blend of satire and heart," said Keerthy. Talking about her character, she added, "Apoorva is a refreshingly different character. She's idealistic, determined, and a little out of her depth. It was an absolute joy to bring her character to life, especially in a world so rooted in our rural culture." She said that the film uses humour and local flavour to spotlight something serious, and that's what makes it hit home. The Telugu Original Movie is a satire comedy set in a fictional South Indian village grappling with increased pressure on its burial infrastructure. It also stars Suhas, Babu Mohan, Shatru, and Talluri Rameshwari. As per the statement, the film is set in the early 1990s, unfolds in Chitti Jayapuram, a seemingly quiet village with a very bizarre crisis, it's run by Uppu Kappurambu out of space to bury the dead. As the newly appointed, idealistic village head Apoorva takes charge, she faces ridicule from locals who are uncomfortable with a woman in power. Determined to fix things, she turns to Chinna, the quirky graveyard caretaker, whose own motives spark unintended chaos. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Switch to UnionBank Rewards Card UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo "Playing Chinna was unlike anything I've done before," shares Suhas. He added: "He's a simple guy caught in a very odd and layered situation. The trailer beautifully captures the tone of the film. It's quirky, emotional, and full of surprises. What I love about Uppu Kappurambu the most is that it never tries to be preachy. The trailer is just a peek, there's a lot more madness and emotion waiting to be discovered." Produced by Radhika Lavu, under the banner of Ellanar Films Pvt Ltd, the film is directed by Ani. I.V. Sasi, Uppu Kappurambu will premiere on Prime Video on July 4.
