Drug network busted in Nineveh
Shafaq News/ A major drug trafficking network in Nineveh province was dismantled, Iraq's National Security Service (INSS) announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, the INSS explained that the operation led to the arrest of seven suspects in possession of 150,000 Captagon pills and 2 kilograms of crystal meth.
'The suspects were caught in the act during a handover of the narcotics,' the statement added.
In a separate raid, also in Nineveh, security forces detained three additional suspects and seized two kilograms of crystal meth in their possession.

The collapse of the planned prisoner exchange came amid a surge in Russian aerial attacks across Ukraine, including a massive overnight bombardment that killed at least six people and wounded over 60.

Iraqi forces launch security sweep in Mosul
Shafaq News/ Iraqi security forces launched a wide-ranging security operation on Saturday in southeastern Mosul, aimed at searching for wanted individuals. The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) stated that the operation involves units from PMF Operations Command—including the 30th, 58th, and 59th brigades—alongside army and police forces, intelligence units, and various PMF directorates specializing in medical services, explosives, engineering, and information technology.
