3rd person charged with murder in Regina homicide
A third person has been charged in the death of a man in Regina last week.
The 16-year-old boy is charged with first-degree murder, Regina police said in a news release. The accused cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Two other men — Keli Stonechild, 33, and Dontay Bellegarde, 23 — are also charged with first-degree murder and had their first appearances in court earlier this week.
Police said they have not released the name of the victim at the request of the family.
The adult male victim was found injured on the 800 block of Victoria Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on April 24, 2025. He was declared dead a short time later.

In the video taken from a police helicopter, two suspects are seen walking back to a car in a parking lot and, a short time later, unmarked cruisers arrive and block their way. Officers in tactical gear get out of the cruisers and surround the vehicle. With the officers' guns drawn, the suspect vehicle tries to reverse, but is unsuccessful. One officer is seen using a tool to smash the suspect vehicle's windows. Before the video ends, an officer pulls one occupant out of the vehicle. York Regional Police (YRP) said the two suspects were successfully taken into custody. Police identified one of them as 19-year-old Aaron Simms of Ajax. The other suspect is a 16-year-old boy and cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Simms and the 16-year-old boy are both facing 13 charges, including three counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, three counts of disguise with intent and three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The charges have not been tested in court. In addition, Simms has been charged with breach of probation, while the teen has been charged with failure to comply with a release order. 'At the time of this incident, Simms was on probation conditions related to previous, unrelated offences. The youth was on bail in connection with an unrelated incident,' police said. Meanwhile, officers continue to look for two other suspects. Police said they do not have descriptions at this time. Investigators said the suspects may be connected to additional robberies. 3 suspects charged, 1 at large in connection with Vaughan shooting
Police are searching for a male suspect wanted in connection with a shooting at a business in Vaughan earlier in June. (York Regional Police) Three male suspects have been charged after allegedly shooting a business in a plaza in Vaughan earlier this month, and police say one suspect remains at large. York Regional Police say they were called to the area of Milani Boulevard and Highway 27 on June 3 at around 5 p.m. Officers say a black Honda Accord pulled up into the plaza before a suspect allegedly fired several shots at a business and drove away. Police say they recovered the vehicle, which was found to be stolen out of Toronto on April 18. Investigators have charged two 18-year-old men—Jaziah and Javon Dixon of East Gwillimbury—and a 17-year-old boy from Newmarket, whose identity cannot be disclosed under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Combined, they are charged with possession of property by crime, discharge firearm with intent and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine (youth only). The charges have not been tested in court. Police are searching for one more male suspect, who they describe as having a heavy build and was wearing a dark hooded sweater and shorts at the time.
