Samantha Armytage commits dangerous act in London as she goes bike riding in the city

Samantha Armytage is currently enjoying a relaxing holiday in London after filming The Golden Bachelor. But the Channel Nine host, 45, committed a dangerous act as she explored the city on Tuesday. Samantha shared a video to Instagram as she rode a bike through a park but she wasn't wearing a helmet. The TV star also revealed how she almost fell off the bike, captioning the post: 'Both hands on the wheel! Nearly fell off.' In the video, Samantha laughed as she turned the camera to reveal her scenic surroundings while on the bike. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The trip comes after Samantha was recently busy filming The Golden Bachelor. Cameras have officially started rolling on the Channel Nine dating show for older, single romantics looking for a second shot at love. Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed Barry 'Bear' Myrden, a 50-something infrastructure engineer and passionate sailor from Sydney, has been handpicked as the leading man for the upcoming Australian adaptation. In exclusive pictures, Barry was seen filming the show in Sydney in March, and his cast of leading ladies have since been spotted arriving at the Sydney mansion where filming will take place. Barry, a father-of-three and a respected professional in the tech industry, currently works in Data Centre Management for Woolworths Group. With decades of experience in his field, he has held senior roles at major companies like Macquarie Bank and the NSW Port Authority. But while his career has flourished, sources close to Daily Mail Australia revealed his personal journey has been marked by tragedy as Barry is is widowed. 'Bear is always complaining that his boys are saying that he is bringing around the wrong kind of girls that are just too young and hot for him,' one friend revealed. 'We were always saying that he needs to be put on a show like MAFS, so seeing him up for the Bachelor role is no surprise.' Despite his corporate background, Barry is far from your typical office-bound executive. A passionate sailor, he has competed in high-profile races like the Sydney to Hobart. In one photo captured during one of his recent sailing ventures, Barry looked handsome and rugged as he manned a yacht. Unlike The Bachelor and The Bachelorette which feature young men and women, the Golden Bachelor is targeted at a more mature audience eager to watch how those who have already experienced great love and loss are chasing companionship in their next chapter. 'Bear is not your usual reality TV type,' an insider told Daily Mail Australia. 'He's charming, intelligent and has really lived a full life. He's been through love, loss and now he's ready to open his heart again. Women are going to adore him.' Local fans of the The Golden Bachelor have been calling for an Australian version since the US version premiered last year to critical acclaim. Producers are keeping tight-lipped about the contestants vying for Barry's heart, but if the US series is anything to go by the show promises to deliver a mix of heartwarming moments, deep connections and unexpected twists.

Unbelievable secret behind year's 'most terrifying film' Bring Her Back's vomit-inducing scenes

It's been dubbed 'the most terrifying horror film' of the year. Bring Her Back, from Australian directors Danny and Michael Philippou, follows two siblings who find themselves caught up in an occult ritual by their foster mother. The supernatural chiller rattled moviegovers over the weekend, with many claiming that the film's stomach-churning scenes had left them nauseous. One shocking scene sees troubled Ollie, played by 12-year-old child star Jonah Wren Phillips, being fed a piece of fruit on the end of a large knife by his foster brother Andy. When Andy turns his back, Ollie begins voraciously gnawing on the knife in order to satiate a demonic spirit inside of him. As he chews on the razor-sharp blade, blood begins gushing everywhere and his teeth begin to crack and become dislodged. In another scene, the demon completely takes over Ollie's body and he begins trying to eat everything in sight, including the edge of a wooden table that immediately splinters and starts tearing into the child's face. Explaining the secrets behind both horrific scenes, prosthetic FX designer Larry Van Duynhoven told Variety that they used a set of prosthetic teeth and added some chocolate to the prop table to disguise the taste for Phillips, who plays Ollie. 'He was able to really go to town because we had the dentures that helped protect his teeth and mouth,' Van Duynhoven said. 'The dental technician designed some breakaway teeth in the dentures, so some of those teeth snap off.' Phillips added, 'They said they put chocolate in it a little bit. I didn't taste it because I had blood in my mouth. It was more of a texture because they hollowed it out so it was really crunchy.' Director Danny Philippou told Polygon, 'The entire table was laced with chocolate, so he enjoyed eating it. He was still munching on it between takes.' For the jaw-dropping knife scene, a rubber prop was used whenever Phillips was present, and then a puppet head whenever they needed to use a real blade. Philippou added, 'We had a [prop replacement for Jonah's head], so we could put a real knife in this fake head and rip his lip.' Bring Her Back opened in US theaters over the weekend, pulling in $7 million. Critics have praised the film so far, while viewers have been left sick by some of the violence and realistic practical effects. 'Bring Her Back made me so nauseous, it was so good,' gushed one fan on X, formerly Twitter. 'Bring Her Back WAS SOOOO GOOD I felt sick watching that scene,' added a second, while a third wrote, 'Bring Her Back is sick. Definitely seeing it again.' A fourth wrote, 'If y'all need a movie to watch this week go see Bring Her Back in theaters. My first time ever a movie made me literally set up to vomit. The plot is crazy too.' Bring Her Back is from the directors of Talk To Me, which is currently the highest-grossing horror film in A24 history. According to the filmmakers, the flick is so scary moviegoers passed out during preview screenings. 'We've had three faintings,' Danny admitted during an interview on Australian talk show The Project. Oscar-nominated English actress Sally Hawkins, 48, known for her roles in Paddington, Wonka and Happy-Go-Lucky, stars in Bring Her Back. Hawkins plays grieving mother Laura, who attempts to bring her daughter back from the dead using a paranormal ritual.

M*A*S*H vet Mike Farrell breaks his silence about the death of his 'dynamo' costar Loretta Swit at age 87

M*A*S*H vet Mike Farrell reflects on working with late co-star Loretta Swit following her sudden passing last week. Farrell, now 86, recalled the time they spent together on set and forming a close bond when they were starring on the medical drama series over 40 years ago. The actor portrayed Captain B.J. Hunnicutt on the long-running TV series from 1975 to 1983 while Swit appeared on the show as Major Margaret 'Hot Lips' Houlihan for all but 11 episodes of the 11 seasons. 'Loretta was a dynamo,' he told TMZ on Tuesday while remembering his late castmate — who died of suspected natural causes at the age of 87 on May 30. He said she was 'sweet' and 'demure' off-camera, but as soon as she walked onto the set, she would instantly become her fiery character Hot Lips. 'She was always doing something — whether she was working on a film. You know there is a lot of waiting time on set. So she was crocheting and she was reading a book,' he continued. Farrell also recalled how Swit 'loved' to do needlepoint embroidery as a hobby and started making personalized gifts for each of their colleagues. 'The great thing I'll always remember about her is she would sit there and be her sweet, demure self and then they'd call for her to come in and do the scene and she'd go in and be roaring as Margaret,' he said. He remembered how she would be 'hollering at somebody to do something that was going wrong and, "How dare you?" and so and so. 'Then she'd calm down and walk off and sit down and continue to do her needlepoint,' he said while chuckling. He praised her 'extraordinary demonstration of the talent she had and the ability she had to focus.' He said that the time the cast members lent to the show ultimately led to their great bond and becoming a 'family.' 'We really became deeply associate with each other's lives,' he explained. 'And you know over time we watched many of our comrades pass.' The actor portrayed Captain B.J. He said that the four members of the crew carrying on the legacy of their show are himself as well as Alan Alda, Jamie Farr and Gary Burghoff. 'She was a trooper,' Farrell said while remembering Swit before adding that they liked to call her that nickname. According to the outlet, he also addressed their longtime supporters and told them to not feel sad as she 'is probably thrilled to be with Harry Morgan, whom she was very fond of' as well as their other cast members who have passed.
