Comedian's shows cancelled after he makes joke about Liverpool parade crash
A comedian has had his shows cancelled after he made a 'horrific' joke about the Liverpool parade crash which left 79 injured.
Andrew Lawrence wrote on X: 'To be fair, if I was in Liverpool, I'd drive through crowds of people to get the f**k out of there as well.'
His upcoming gig in Essex has been cancelled, with a number of people contacting the venue to complain about the joke.
Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance CIC called him 'an embarrassment to the comedic profession', and actor Barry Sloane wrote: 'You absolute disgrace.'
Caddies Southend said on X: 'The event organisers who had hired our Comedy Club for the Andrew Lawrence night, have cancelled the event.

The comedian responded, saying the venue lost 'their courage' after being bombarded with messages.
He wrote: 'Understandable, but disappointing. I will reschedule for later in the year at a different venue Southend, sorry for the inconvenience, have a great day.'

Romeo Beckham has split from his girlfriend Kim Turnbull weeks after she joined him for David Beckham's 50th celebrations, it is reported. It is thought the pair have split after seven months together, amid reports of a family feud between the Beckham family and eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 26. Major Emmerdale legend set to return - and it's good news for fans
Bernice Blackstock is reportedly returning to Emmerdale, two years on from her departure. Samantha Giles has played Bernice on and off from 1998. The character is the biological mother of Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), and was often involved in light-hearted storylines to contrast the ongoing drama in the village. In November 2023, Bernice's sister Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) discovered that she had been buying things in her name. With Bernice drowning in debt, she attempted to run away and leave her family to pick up the pieces, but Gabby helped her realise that putting things right and facing her problems would be best. To pay off the debt, Bernice gave Nicola her shares in the B&B. She then left the Dales for Portugal to visit Diane (Elizabeth Estensen). Bernice is reportedly heading back to the Dales ahead of Gabby and Vinny Dingle's (Bradley Johnson) wedding. According to The Sun, Samantha is due to start filming in a couple of weeks. Emmerdale confirms John twist in early ITVX release as Nate's body identified
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) received the devastating news in tonight's Emmerdale that the body in the lake belongs to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter). The discovery in the water was made last Friday. Youngster Kyle (Huey Quinn) saw divers pulling the body out and cycled to the pub to tell his family the news. Cain, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) all thought it was Anthony Fox, and then tried to prepare themselves for the inevitable police questioning. Ruby took a massive risk earlier in the week by going to the police station alone and confessing to his murder. She was questioned, but then let go after it was confirmed the body didn't belong to Anthony. Due to Nate being in the lake for nine months, he was identified through dental records. This led the police officers to Tracy's house and Butlers Farm, to confirm their discovery. Understandably, Tracy and Cain struggled to process all of the information. They weren't allowed to view Nate's body because it was so badly decomposed, and also faced intense questioning as the police tried to work out Nate's last movements. The officers discovered that Cain had a fight with Nate before he was killed. You'll remember that this happened because a rumour was circulating about Nate sleeping with Moira (Natalie J Robb) again. Cain punched Nate so hard Tracy thought he was going to kill him, but John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) ended up being responsible, after Nate reacted badly to some medication he had administered. Due to the attack, Cain was taken to the police station for another interview. By this point, Tracy had told the detective a lot of information, including that John was the last person who saw Nate alive.
