Eagles hosted a massive athlete and intriguing swing tackle candidate on a predraft visit Top 30 visits have started, and Zack Berman reports that Philadelphia had an intriguing All-Big 12 and former All-Ivy League performer in for a visit.
The Eagles are building through the trenches. As the team works to retool the roster while maintaining a Super Bowl window, Howie Roseman will utilize eight draft picks to amass depth and key starters. The top 30 visits have started, and Zack Berman reports that Philadelphia had an intriguing All-Big 12 and former All-Ivy League performer in for a visit.
Travis declared for the NFL draft on Dec. 31 after four years at Princeton and one at Iowa State. During his time with the Tigers, Travis was a two-time All-Ivy Selection. He transferred to Iowa State.
Unofficially listed at 6'7", 340 lbs., Travis is a massive athlete with starting experience at left and right tackle. Travis projects as an early Day 3 selection, but the lack of depth at offensive tackle in the 2025 NFL draft might propel the former Cylcone into the third round.

Chicago Sky Facing Angel Reese Trade Decision After Injury News
Chicago Sky Facing Angel Reese Trade Decision After Injury News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky have struggled in the early part of the 2025 WNBA season as they dropped to 2-5 after Saturday's loss to the Indiana Fever. While the team did relinquish a season-low 79 points to Indiana, they only scored 52 points, which was the franchise's lowest output since the 2011 season. Advertisement Chicago also lost starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot for the season, as she sustained a torn ACL during the Fever game. She had been averaging 12.0 points and 6.2 assists per contest in the six games prior. In her absence, backup point guard Hailey Van Lith played 26 minutes and contributed just seven points and zero assists while turning the ball over three times. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5).Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Van Lith is a rookie with just 63 minutes of WNBA playing time under her belt, and veteran point guard Moriah Jefferson is yet to play in a game this season due to a leg injury. Chicago may need to make a trade for another impact point guard, but according to Sky reporter Karli Bell, the team would have to part ways with Angel Reese or Kamilla Cardoso to make it happen. Advertisement "They absolutely could, but then say goodbye to either Angel Reese or Kamilla Cardoso," Bell wrote of Chicago potentially acquiring a lead guard via trade. "If the Sky wanted to go and get another point guard quickly, this is the fastest way to do it without taking a salary hit. Both Reese & Cardoso are big names that draw in the fans and are absolutely big trade capital for the Sky." Bell went on to describe potential parameters of a deal and even mentioned a few other WNBA teams that could have both the desire and means for a trade. "If you were to trade either of them, it could be a 2-for-1 type of trade: Cardoso or Reese for two guards or a guard and a wing," she wrote. "The teams that I could see entertaining this type of trade are the Las Vegas Aces, Dallas Wings, Golden State Valkyries, Connecticut Sun or the Seattle Storm." Advertisement Reese was named to the 2024 WNBA All-Star team after averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game as a rookie. This season, her production has dropped off slightly, as she is contributing just 9.1 points and 12.3 rebounds per contest. Cardoso has seen her scoring increase from 9.8 to 10.9 points per game, but her rebounding has dropped from 7.9 to just 6.1 per contest. Both of these players made the All-Rookie team in 2024 and are considered integral to Chicago's rebuild effort. However, the team is now facing a decision about their value relative to another lead ball-handler. Angel Reese Issues Statement After Chicago Sky's Troubling News
Angel Reese Issues Statement After Chicago Sky's Troubling News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky played their first game on Tuesday without their floor general, Courtney Vandersloot. The five-time All-Star was diagnosed with an ACL tear after suffering a non-contact injury in Chicago's 79-52 blowout loss to the Indiana Fever on Saturday and has since been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Advertisement It was a tough game for the Sky on Tuesday as they took on the defending champions, the New York Liberty, in a road game at Barclays Center. It was an even more daunting task for Chicago without Vandersloot on the floor. At this point, the Sky have no other choice but to take a committee approach in trying to fill the Vandersloot void. Simply put, they don't have anyone on the roster who can serve as a 1-for-1 replacement for the five-time All-WNBA guard. Chicago Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot (22) dribbles during a Gorski-Imagn Images Angel Reese addressed the issue during Tuesday's game, and the All-Star forward has made it clear that the team remains confident in being able to get through this major hurdle. Advertisement "Yeah, obviously [Vandersloot] is a big down for us, but we knew that was gonna happen," Reese said. "Hailey (Van Lith) and Rachel (Banham) they've worked hard in training camp and throughout the year, so I know we've prepared for this moment. And also, I can help out, too." Reese pointed to rookie Hailey Van Lith and veteran Rachel Banham as the players who will be taking over point guard duties with Vandersloot out. They will have some big shoes to fill, but as Reese indicated, both players have been putting in the work and are prepared to step up to the plate. Unfortunately for the Sky, things did not work out at all for them on Tuesday night. They ended up suffering a blowout loss to a powerhouse Liberty side, 85-66. Advertisement Reese did all she could for Chicago, posting a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double, with three assists, two steals and one triple. It was far from enough. The Sky's two Vandersloot replacements, however, struggled mightily in this one. Banham, who got the start, and Van Lith combined for just eight points on 2-of-11 shooting. To be fair, virtually the entire Chicago squad played poorly in this one, and this was a tough matchup against the champs. Banham, Van Lith and the rest of the team will be looking to bounce back on Friday when they return to action against the Atlanta Dream. Giancarlo Stanton could join Yankees in Boston this weekend
Giancarlo Stanton could join Yankees in Boston this weekend originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Giancarlo Stanton will begin his rehab assignment Tuesday night with Double-A Somerset, marking his first game action since straining his left hamstring on May 24. Advertisement Before the game, Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Stanton is scheduled to play again on Wednesday. The team will then reassess his progress and determine the next steps. Boone did not rule out the possibility of Stanton returning this weekend for a rematch against the Red Sox in Boston. Yankees slugger Giancarlo Carchietta-Imagn Images Stanton has not played in a game yet this season. He had shut down hitting in January, dealing with tendinitis in both elbows. It is something that he had been feeling since the previous season, but the pain was too much this spring. After two platelet-rich plasma treatments, Stanton has slowly been ramping up for a return. Advertisement While the Yankees have held steady without him, Stanton's return would deepen a lineup that continues to lean heavily on Aaron Judge. The current plan is for Stanton to DH in both rehab games. Stanton's Yankees tenure is marked by elite power and frustrating injuries. He debuted spectacularly in 2018 with 38 HR, 100 RBI, but frequent muscle and elbow issues limited him to about 54% availability since 2019. Despite injuries, he shone as the 2022 All-Star MVP and powered the Yankees to the 2024 World Series, winning ALCS MVP. Given Stanton's injury history, particularly with soft-tissue issues, the Yankees are expected to take a cautious approach. Still, with a high-profile series at Fenway Park on deck, the possibility of a weekend return, however tentative, remains on the table.
