Brazil Potash Announces Launch of Brazilian Depositary Receipts (BDRs) on B3 Exchange
MANAUS, Brazil, May 27, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brazil Potash Corp. ('Brazil Potash' or the 'Company') (NYSE-American: GRO), a mineral exploration and development company with a critical mineral potash mining project, the Autazes Project, today announced the successful launch of its Brazilian Depositary Receipts (BDRs) on the B3 S.A. – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão ('B3"), Brazil's main stock exchange. The BDRs have been approved for listing on B3 and will begin trading on May 26, 2025 under the ticker symbol GROP31.
The BDR program will allow Brazilian investors to directly participate in the ownership of Brazil Potash, which is developing the strategic Autazes Potash Project in Amazonas state. This domestic investment opportunity aligns with Brazil's National Fertilizer Plan, which aims to reduce the country's dependence on fertilizer imports from 85% to 45% by 2050.
'We're proud to offer this investment opportunity to the Brazilian market, where the impact of our project will be directly felt,' said Matt Simpson, Chief Executive Officer of Brazil Potash. 'Our company was created to address a critical vulnerability in Brazil's agricultural supply chain. Now, through the BDR program, Brazilian investors can participate in building domestic potash capacity that will support the country's position as the world's largest net exporter of agricultural products.'
The BDRs will be backed by Brazil Potash's common shares, which will continue to trade on the NYSE American exchange under the ticker symbol 'GRO.' Each BDR will represent 1:1 of a common share of the Company. This dual listing approach enhances the Company's visibility in both North American and Brazilian capital markets, improving liquidity and broadening the investor base.
Banco Bradesco S.A. will serve as the depositary institution for the BDR program. The BDRs are being issued as Sponsored Level I BDRs, governed by CVM Instruction 332, CVM Instruction 480, and the B3 Issuers Regulation and Manual.
About Brazil Potash
Brazil Potash (NYSE-American: GRO) (www.brazilpotash.com) is developing the Autazes Project to supply sustainable fertilizers to one of the world's largest agricultural exporters. Brazil is critical for global food security as the country has amongst the highest amounts of fresh water, arable land, and an ideal climate for year-round crop growth, but it is vulnerable as it imported over 95% of its potash fertilizer in 2021, despite having what is anticipated to be one of the world's largest undeveloped potash basins in its own backyard. The potash produced will be transported primarily using low-cost river barges on an inland river system in partnership with Amaggi (www.amaggi.com.br), one of Brazil's largest farmers and logistical operators of agricultural products. With an initial planned annual potash production of up to 2.4 million tons per year, Brazil Potash's management believes it could potentially supply approximately 20% of the current potash demand in Brazil. Management anticipates 100% of Brazil Potash's production will be sold domestically to reduce Brazil's reliance on potash imports while concurrently mitigating approximately 1.4 million tons per year of GHG emissions.

Group Appeals to Farm Rio to End Partnership With Starbucks
A group of 17 labor unions, human rights organizations and watchdog nonprofits including Coffee Watch are calling on the lifestyle brand Farm Rio to end its partnership with Starbucks or change its policies. The coffee chain has come under fire this spring for allegations of child labor, trafficking workers and unsafe working conditions on a Brazilian coffee farm. A civil 'John Doe' lawsuit was filed against Starbucks in late April in the U.S. by eight individuals with the support of the International Rights Advocates. More from WWD From The Archive: Rio de Janeiro Fashion Scene, 1974 Todd Snyder Opens Nashville Store in 12South Neighborhood Dior Beauty Opens New Boutique in Miami A Starbucks spokesperson said Wednesday that the claims asserted are 'without merit' and the company plans to 'vigorously defend the Starbucks brand.' Coffee Watch filed a petition under section 307 of the Tariff Act asking U.S. Customs and Border Protection 'to block slavery-tainted Brazilian coffee in Starbucks' supply chains from entering the United States,' according to the letter, which was shared with WWD. In a statement, the Seattle-based company said, 'Starbucks is committed to ethical sourcing of coffee including helping to protect the rights of people who work on the farms where we purchase coffee from,' adding that its Coffee and Farmer Equity Practices include the use of 'robust third-party verification and audits.' Starbucks said it does not purchase coffee from all of the farms within Cooxupé's cooperative, which includes more than 19,000 coffee farm members. The spokesperson said, 'Starbucks purchases coffee from a small fraction of those farms, and only those who have been verified through our C.A.F.E. Practices, which are among the most stringent in the industry and have been continuously improved since their inception in 2004.' Starbucks and Farm Rio revealed their partnership last month for a limited-edition collection of colorful drinkware and mini cold-cup keychains that launched in the coffee chain's stores in the U.S. and Canada. They are also being sold in its outposts in Brazil and in select markets in Latin America and in the Caribbean. On Wednesday, a public relations firm working on behalf of the organizations that have appealed to Farm Rio's chief executive officer put the word out about their letter. Supporters of the letter are asking that Starbucks sever the partnership immediately or make it contingent on such demands as allowing employees worldwide to unionize and eradicating child labor from every part of its supply chain, ensuring farmworkers receive a living wage and publicly committing to upholding labor rights across its supply chain. The representative for the senders of the letter also provided a link to a video post that was made by the organization Contracs on 'X' that shows three protesters holding signs outside of a Farm Rio store in an unidentified shopping center in Brazil. Representatives at Farm Rio could not be reached for comment Wednesday. An outside public relations company that works with Farm Rio acknowledged a request for comment about the request to end the Starbucks partnership and said it had been shared with Farm Rio, but there was not a response at press time. Separately, Starbucks has been dealing with pushback from some employees in the U.S. about its new uniform policy. More than 1,000 workers — many of whom are associated with Starbucks Workers United — in 75 locations held a one-day strike in opposition to the mandatory dress code. Workers United is less than 5 percent of Starbucks' workforce, representing about 570 of its 10,000-plus stores, according to another Starbucks spokesperson. The letter to Farm Rio also noted that a fair contract with unionized workers in the U.S. has not been reached. Check out the latest Donald Trump presidential approval ratings for PA and across US
Despite mass firings within the government, threats of tariffs and struggles to get the 'big, beautiful bill' passed, President Donald Trump's approval ratings have held steady early in his second term. DOGE leader Elon Musk is leaving the White House and Trump is threatening to tariff two high profile American companies — Apple and Mattel — despite questions by the US Court of International Trade about his authority to unilaterally impose tariffs without action by congress. Here's what the recent polls show about Trump's presidential job approval ratings as of the first week of June. According to Rasmussen Reports polling, Trump's approval has improved to a 53% approval rating and 46% that disapprove. The TrafalGarGroup poll from this weekend found that 53.7% of Americans approve of how Trump is handling his job as president, while 45.6% disapprove. The Morning Consult tracker poll taken this weekend reported a drop to 46% approval rating and a 51% that disapprove. The Economist/YouGov poll taken this week, shows Trump improving with a 45% favorability versus 53% unfavorable. Americans expressed the most important issue was overwhelmingly focused on inflation/prices, followed by jobs and the economy, health care, immigration and civil rights. In this weekend's Quantus Insights poll, Trump's job approval improved with 48.3% approval versus 47.8% that disapprove and 3.9% that had no opinion. RealClear Polling which encompasses the average of different 15 different pollsters, including all those mentioned above, shows Trump's overall favorability at 47.5% and 49.7% that disapprove. These numbers have improved since his lows at the end of April, when it reached a 52.4% disapproval rating and 45.1% favorable approval rating. According to Civiqs polls, last updated June 2, Trump's approval ratings have dropped about three points in The Keystone State compared to what Pennsylvanians thought of his performance in January. About 53% of Pennsylvanians polled currently disapprove of the president's performance, up from 50% on Jan. 20. Only 43% of the commonwealth gave Trump a thumbs up as of early June, down from 46% six months ago. These polling numbers were also broken down by age, education, gender, race and party. Age: Those between 18-34 were most unfavorable of Trump (60%), while those 50 to 64 were the most favorable (55%). Education: Postgraduate students were most unfavorable toward Trump (68%). Non-college graduates were most favorable (49%). Gender: Men and women are split on Trump, more than half of females (58%) holding an unfavorable view and more than half of males (52%) having a favorable view of the president. Party: Members of the Republican party were 87% favorable of Trump, compared to the Democratic party, who felt just 3% favorable of the president's performance. Independent voters leaned unfavorable (48%). Race: Black voters had the highest unfavorable opinion of Trump (89%), followed by other races at 59%, Hispanic/Latino at 57% and white at 46%. Note: Polls are constantly changing and different pollsters ask different varieties of the population.
