Plans in pipeline to boost eco-tourism, temple projects in Khammam district
Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao along with Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao had a review meeting with State Tourism department at the Secretariat on Monday. The ministers instructed the officials to prepare plans for developing eco and temple tourism in erstwhile Khammam district. The officials were instructed to prepare proposals for the construction of Paleru Reservoir, Buddhist Stupa at Nelakondapalli, Parnasala, Bhadrachalam Temple, Kinnerasani Project, Haritha Hotel at Kothagudem, Kanigiri Hills, Vaira Reservoir, Velugumatla Urban Park, Ropeway at Khammam Fort, and a new Haritha hotel in Khammam.
The ministers said that there were suitable environment, places, historical monuments, and temples for tourism development in the district, and there was a need to make them accessible to the people. The ministers said that the famous Bhadrachalam Ram Temple in the country should be further developed and better facilities should be provided to the devotees, and for this, the tourism department and corporations should work. The ministers said that proposals should be prepared to immediately sanction the necessary funds either through the state government or in private partnership. The officials of the Tourism Department and the District Collector were advised to visit the field level in the district and formulate appropriate activities.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is slated to visit various places related to tourism in Khammam next month and the officials were directed to make appropriate arrangements. He was advised to complete the development work related to eco-tourism in a forest area of about 500 acres near Khammam town as soon as possible. Nageshwar Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao instructed the officials to prepare proposals for the construction of a Haritha Hotel in Khammam town and also in Kothagudem.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to transform Amaravati into the country's largest lung space city, under the green 'Amaravati in Nature'. During a review meeting on the Amaravati Beautification and Green-Blue Master Plan at the Secretariat on Thursday, Naidu emphasised the development of trunk roads, connecting roads, LPS layouts, buffer zones, and plantation of medicinal herbs, indigenous tree species and seasonal flowering trees to foster a lush, eco-friendly urban environment. He instructed officials to undertake avenue plantations along all roads and to create international-standard parks and green zones. Parks should be named after different countries and feature flora native to those regions. Roads should be named in harmony with nature. He urged officials to study successful urban models from Bengaluru and Singapore, and suggested consulting yoga guru Baba Ramdev for guidance on cultivating medicinal plants. Naidu also envisioned growing native species from across India, from the Himalayas to Kanyakumari, within Amaravati.

No coercion in P4, CS tells collectors
Vijayawada: Chief secretary K Vijayanand has instructed District Collectors to exercise extreme caution in identifying 'Margadarshulu' (mentors) for the 'Swarnandhra P4' programme, ensuring the process is free from any controversy or criticism. During a video conference from the Secretariat on Thursday, the chief secretary reviewed the Swarnandhra P4 Foundation, Water Bodies Repairs, Renovation & Restoration (RRR) scheme, Green Hydrogen Hub and Annadata Sukhibhava programmes with district collectors. He emphasised that as directed by the Chief Minister, 'Golden Families' (Bangaaru Kutumbaalu) should only be adopted by Margadarshulu who come forward voluntarily, without any pressure. He urged collectors to motivate well-placed individuals in society to come forward voluntarily as mentors. With the government planning a large-scale launch of the programme on August 16, he instructed collectors to achieve their defined targets by August 15. In a move to enhance state development and public welfare, the chief secretary directed district collectors to promptly submit proposals for necessary repairs and restoration work to preserve all water resources in the state. He highlighted the government's objective to develop the state's water bodies under the Central government's RRR scheme, with a 60 per cent central share and 40 per cent state share. To transform the state into a green energy hub, the Prime Minister and Chief Minister have laid the foundation stone for a Green Hydrogen project in Pudimadaka. Chief secretary Vijayanand instructed the collectors of Sri Sathya Sai, Prakasam and Anantapur districts to identify the necessary land for establishing solar power projects to supply solar energy to this joint venture between the state government and NTPC. The chief secretary also clarified doubts raised by several district collectors regarding the implementation of the Annadata Sukhibhava programme. Principal secretary, planning, Piyush Kumar, virtually participated in the meeting and explained the SOPs for collectors to follow in implementing the P4 programme.

Andhra ryots to get Annadata Sukhibhava on August 2
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Secretary K Vijayanand on Tuesday announced that the State government is making arrangements to credit the combined Annadata Sukhibhava and PM-Kisan financial assistance into the accounts of eligible farmers on August 2. During a review meeting at the Secretariat, Vijayanand stated that the Rs 20,000 annual assistance under the joint scheme is part of the government's key poll promises—Super Six. He urged farmers who have not completed their e-KYC and NCPI mapping to do so at their nearest Rythu Seva Kendras (RSKs), with just three days left before the disbursement. The RTGS CEO was instructed to send SMS alerts to farmers yet to complete the process. Agriculture officials were also told to clearly explain the reasons for rejection to ineligible farmers through the RSKs. Vijayanand asked officials to re-examine rejected applications by August 1 and include any newly eligible farmers. Acknowledging issues like pending land mutations, unlinked Aadhaar, and outdated records due to landholder deaths, he directed the Revenue Department to address them promptly. These matters will also be reviewed in a video conference with district Collectors on Thursday.
