Edinburgh brothers who crossed the Atlantic in a 28-foot-boat are featuring in a new documentary that tells their story.
The Maclean Brothers, who are currently on another journey across the Pacific Ocean, set out on their 3,000-mile Atlantic journey back in 2019 with no rowing experience. The STV documentary tells their tale of family, positivity and adventure.
Out of Our Depth: Three Brothers in a Boat includes candid recounts from the brothers, including stories of seasickness and slapstick.
Speaking from the middle of the Pacific, 33-year-old Ewan Maclean, the eldest brother, said: 'It was all completely new to us. You know what it's like - you have an idea and you just get carried away. We were working, studying, juggling other things.
'It was eye-opening watching the documentary and realising how much we've changed. Our preparations really were piss poor. In many ways, watching it was a wake up call. If we're going to row an ocean three times as long as the Atlantic, we couldn't go into it half-cocked.
'We're so grateful to Lost Clock. They've told our story - and continue to tell our story - in the most incredible way. Before we left, we watched it with our family and friends. There was everything from roaring laughter to genuine tears.'

Their Atlantic journey broke three world records, as they became the first trio of brothers to row any ocean. They were also the fastest, and youngest, trio to row the Atlantic.
Jamie Maclean, 31, said: 'I don't think people ever experience the clarity of thought you get at sea in normal life. It changed the direction of our lives. We thought it would be a one-off adventure, but it made us re-evaluate our purpose. We realised we wanted to do something together and make a real impact.
"Everything we're doing now is in service of providing clean water to communities living in poverty - especially in Madagascar, one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change.'
Youngest brother Lachlan (26) added: 'It was emotional watching the documentary with Mum. It made us really think about how our choices affect others. We've always been close as a family, but this brought us even closer.

'It's a strange feeling seeing your life played back to you. There were definitely embarrassing moments, but we couldn't have imagined it would turn out the way it did.
'We've got a laptop with us, so we're going to re-watch it today. It's the one bit of TV we're letting ourselves watch for 100+ days. That probably sounds egotistical to be watching ourselves - but honestly, it'll be emotional and it's a great way to see our family while we're thousands of miles away. Importantly there's only one episode, which means no risk of a binge-watch derailing the row.'

The news comes two years after the talented musician struggled to perform in front of thousands of adoring supporters at the iconic music event. The Scot is believed to be taking the 'Secret Set' slot on the Friday night of Glastonbury. The Forget Me chanter is believed to be taking to the Pyramid Stage at the iconic music event after Alanis Morrisette, reports the Daily Mail. It comes after the 28-year-old was forced to apologise to fans throughout his 2023 Glastonbury set as he battled with flailing vocals and a fading voice. Capaldi looked visibly frustrated throughout the performance as he made an emotional admission to the crowd. It later came to light that Lewis had experienced an attack of Tourette's Syndrome on stage. The Bruises hitmaker had previously taken time off in the lead-up to the festival to focus on his mental health and told fans on stage he would likely be taking another extended break following the performance, the Daily Record reports. "I recently took three weeks off, just because I've been non-stop since the start of the year and wanted a break for my head and my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's so incredible and I just want to thank you all for coming out. "I was scared but you really made me feel at ease. I'm really sorry, I hope they will let me back on even though it's been a sh**show. "I feel like I'll be taking another break over the next few weeks so you probably won't see me for the rest of the year. But when I do come back and I do see you I hope you're up for watching." In a touching show of unity and support, the crowd sang Lewis' hit Someone You Loved back to him, nearly moving him to tears. Music-lovers also buoyed him up by chanting "Oh Lewis Capaldi". Lewis vanished from the spotlight to adjust to the impact of his Tourette's, saying that it "became obvious" during his Glastonbury set "that he needed to spend much more time getting his mental and physical health in order". "I [need to do this] so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come," he added at the time. "Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of, so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. "I'll be back as soon as I possibly can." Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that often causes sudden unwanted and uncontrolled rapid and repeated movements or vocal sounds called tics, at times making it difficult for people to speak. He graced the stage as part of Tom Walker's headlining gig, in a low-key appearance which took everyone by surprise. And back in March, singer Yungblud excitedly talked up Capaldi's pending return to music, remarking: "I have heard his new music and it sounds great. He is getting his mental health right. Edinburgh Hive nightclub looks to create new image as 'reputable music venue'

More info A mainstay Edinburgh nightclub is seeking to establish itself as a "reputable music venue" in an effort to foster the capital's struggling music scene. Staff at the Hive Nightclub & Venue in Edinburgh's Cowgate area issued a callout to local artists to perform at the venue, seeking "local bands and artist to play live gigs at The Hive." The Hive is known as a clubbing destination, but the team is working to rebrand, with an announcement from the nightclub reading: "Whether you're indie, rock, punk, metal, alt, or something totally unique, we want to hear from you." Edinburgh Live spoke to Eric Brock, 34, who hopes to provide a new space at The Hive for up and coming artists in Edinburgh to make a name for themselves. Eric has been a part of the capital's music scene since 2016 with his band Earl of Hell and claims the scene has been in a state of "steady decline" for years. He said: "Being in a band from Edinburgh, I know how difficult it is for up and coming bands to get on a show. It's different for Glasgow [but for] Scotland as a whole, it's tough. We played the majority of our shows down south because there are more places to play, more venues, bigger crowds." As the city loses venues like Studio 24, he sees it as more important than ever to welcome fresh acts to the stage. Eric added: "After Covid, it took a big hit. All the cities in Scotland need to have more music venues and also think about getting people back out to gigs. It's a difficult market." "We're trying to bring live music into the Hive as well as it being a club. Hive is a mainstay club in Edinburgh and has been there for years. It's one of the most popular clubs in Edinburgh, but most people don't know it has music. "We're trying to create an identity as a reputable music venue. It's something that Edinburgh lacks. "We don't want to pigeonhole ourselves for certain genre, any genre is welcome. It is a really solid space for music. It's just about trying to get it out there." Faune Reid, events manager at The Hive, said: "We've always been passionate about supporting grassroots music and local talent. Our call-out for live acts is a chance to give emerging artists a platform in one of Edinburgh's most iconic venues." Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit
Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver has reflected on '25 years of laughs and tears' following her character's exit from the show. Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. 'I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the STV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years, she has appeared as a panellist on the STV chat show Loose Women.
