Absolute carnage at Windsor as blindfolded horse smashes through barriers before race called off and jockeys banned
WINDSOR RACES ended in mayhem after a blindfolded horse smashed through barriers, leading to the race being called off. Race Two was declared void after Master Zack reared up with its blindfold still on while in the stalls. 3 3 3 There was also a false start which the remaining jockeys failed to pull up for, and when Master Zack finally left the stalls it had already unseated its jockey. Its inability to see then led it to divert to the right and it smashed through two barriers, but avoided injury. The race was declared void with one commentator saying: "They're in trouble. They're in trouble. "There's six of them there and one of them should have spotted it." Five jockeys have received ten-day bans after failing to pull up following the false start. The recall man waved his flag and blew his whistle but he was ignored by the jockeys. All but one jockey claimed they did not see the flag or hear the whistle. None of the jockeys completed the race, with only two escaping a ban - Conor Whitely, who said he saw the flag and heared the whistle, and Ryan Kavanagh, who was riding Master Zack. Fans were shocked by the incident with one saying: "Absolute shambles of a start." Another added: "What a joke." Brighton players go wild watching their horse Seagulls Eleven win And a third wrote: "What I can't understand is why the starter didn't wave his flag to signal the down the track flag man to stop the race? It was quickly obvious there was a serious problem."

The NASCAR Xfinity Series, in its first year of an exclusive broadcasting deal with The CW Network, has seen a year-over-year growth of more than 17 percent in total viewership this season, according to NASCAR. The series is averaging 1.1 million viewers per race. "The success of NASCAR on The CW has shown that millions of fans will consistently tune in for these adrenaline-fueled races every week," Brad Schwartz, president of The CW Network, said in a statement. --Field Level Media

Power Maxed race at Knockhill after fire at Worcestershire base
A racing team are back behind the wheel after their base was gutted by at Power Maxed Racing and parent company Automotive Brands in Breforton lost their warehouse, equipment and cars on 9 August when a wildfire swept through rural Adam Weaver described how he had watched 20 years of his working life "pretty much burn to nothing within 20 minutes".But this weekend, despite all odds, the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) team managed to get on the grid at Knockhill, coming 15th in the final race. "Quitting's not in any of our vocabularies," Mr Weaver said."We will build back from this, one way or another."Although the team finished in every race at Knockhill, Mr Weaver said they were "not quite up to our normal standards". He said lots of people had "pulled together" to help the team, including by loaning them cars for their race at Knockhill, in Scotland, and allowing them to use warehouse space. "It was no easy feat though, because it was the furthest circuit away in the calendar," he added. After this season, Mr Weaver hopes that a "very generous" manufacturing company might donate some vehicles to allow Power Maxed to convert them into BTCC touring company plans to claim through insurance and is hoping to be operational again within a few Weaver previously said the heat of the fire, which had spread across 12 acres (4.8 hectares) of fields, was so intense it melted gearbox casings and reduced engines to molten metal.
