Saudi Arabia allows GCC citizens to perform Umrah anytime
According to the ministry, entry is allowed through any port, so long as pilgrims secure their Umrah permit through the official Nusuk mobile application.
'Performing Umrah for Gulf citizens is available at any time, and entry is permitted through any port, with the permit issued via the Nusuk application,' the Ministry said in an X post.
The ministry emphasized that this move is part of its efforts to provide greater ease for the pilgrims, allowing Gulf residents to perform religious rituals using different types of valid visas.
For those planning to visit Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif, the revered prayer area inside the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, a prior appointment must be booked through the same Nusuk app.

Kuwait Allows Visa-on-Arrival for GCC Residents
Foreign residents in GCC member states can now receive a visa on arrival when entering Kuwait, according to the Ministry of Interior. This new policy applies to holders of valid residency permits from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain. Previously, these travelers were required to secure an e-visa before departure. Kuwait International Airport confirmed that eligible GCC residents — except Iraqi nationals — may obtain a three-month tourist visa at the airport's visa counter. To qualify, travelers must work in approved professions such as doctors, engineers, journalists, pilots, managers, business owners, and other specified roles. They must also hold a valid passport, a GCC residency permit with more than six months' validity, a return ticket, and must not be on Kuwait's blacklist. Applicants are also required to register their address in Kuwait during the visa application process at the airport. The change takes immediate effect. In July 2025, Kuwait launched a nationwide e-visa platform covering various visa types, and a unified GCC tourist visa — allowing travel to all six member countries — is expected to be introduced soon.

UPAC reports Q2 2025 financial results
KUWAIT – United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC), a commercial real estate and facilities management company, today announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. For the six months ended June 2025, the company reported net profits of KD 497 thousand, down 62% from 2024, or 0.94 fils per share, with revenues of KD 3.29 million down 25.6% from 2024. Eng. Hamad Malallah, Chief Executive Officer at UPAC, said: 'The second quarter presented a transitional period as we successfully concluded the project to manage and operate Terminal 1 at Kuwait International Airport, officially handing it over to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in May 2025. While this shift has naturally impacted the company's revenues, it also paves the way for new avenues of growth and development as we focus on future projects and strategic partnerships. It is important to note that UPAC built the entire project and operated it throughout the contract term before transferring it to the DGCA under the Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) system. We take great pride in the success of this national project over 26-year and in delivering it to the State.' Malallah continued: 'I'm pleased to share that in July, we welcomed our first operator at Messilah Beach: Villa Shams, Kuwait's first ladies-only beach club. Oman: Khareef visitors to Dhofar rise 7% to 442,100
Salalah – The number of visitors to Dhofar during 2025 khareef from June 21 to July 31 reached 442,100, marking a 7% increase compared to 413,122 visitors in the same period in 2024, according to preliminary data from National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). The data shows a significant rise in Omani visitors, who increased 75.6% to 334,399. Visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council countries totalled 69,801, while other nationalities accounted for 37,900 visitors. By the end of July 2025, 334,846 visitors had entered Dhofar through land ports, while 107,254 arrived by air.
