Venezuelan immigrant killed by stray bullet in Dallas
With a broken heart and tears streaming down her face, Joana Del Valle Ceballos De Sousa spoke about her husband, Gabriel Alejandro Golindaño Alvarez.
"This is really hard for me, because we had so many plans, so many things," she said. "He was a hardworking man, honest, sociable, he had goals he wanted to achieve."

Apartment riddled with bullet holes
Del Valle Ceballos De Sousa told CBS News Texas her husband was killed after a stray bullet hit him while he was sleeping early Friday morning, around 2 a.m.
Dallas police said they arrived at the 3100 block of Spruce Valley Lane, where they found a man who had been shot and killed.
On Friday, CBS News Texas visited the Westwood Apartments and discovered an apartment riddled with over 20 bullet holes.
Del Valle Ceballos De Sousa said she and her husband lived in the apartment above where the shots were fired.
"It was strange because when we would hear loud noises like that, he's usually the one to wake me up, and I tried moving him and waking him up, and nothing… and then I decided to turn on the lights, and he was soaked in blood," she said.
Seeking safety and stability
The 31-year-old arrived from Venezuela four years ago. Del Valle Ceballos De Sousa said her husband had no criminal record, had never been involved with drugs, and had no ties to those who targeted their neighbors. She said they came to the U.S. hoping to find safety and steady work.
"One of our goals was to buy a home in Venezuela, and he wanted to return to Venezuela to see his mom," Del Valle Ceballos De Sousa said.
Grieving and seeking justice
Now a widow, Del Valle Ceballos De Sousa is planning her husband's funeral, not knowing what a future without him will look like.
"I love him so much, I appreciate him, I respect him… for me he was more than a partner, he was my life companion," she said.
It's unclear if police have made any arrests in this case or if they have any leads. A Dallas police spokesperson said this is an ongoing investigation.

Driver killed in fiery crash on 215 Freeway in Murrieta
A driver was killed in a fiery crash on the 215 Freeway in Murrieta on Thursday morning. The crash was reported just before 3:30 a.m. on southbound lanes near Clinton Keith Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers were dispatched to the area after learning of a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu that had lost control in the fast lane and collided with the center divider. The crash left the car inoperable and stalled in the No. 1 lane. The driver, the only passenger of the Malibu, decided to get out and stand in the center divider, while the driver remained behind the wheel and called for assistance, CHP's statement said. Minutes later, a Ford F-350 transit van also traveling southbound approached the stalled car but was unable to stop in time. The driver, only identified as a 61-year-old man from Moreno Valley, collided with the back of the Malibu. The force of the crash caused the van to spin into the middle of the freeway. The Malibu caught fire as a result of the crash. Firefighters from Murrieta Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and extinguished the flames. The driver of the car, only identified as a 22-year-old man from Temecula, was declared dead at the scene. The passenger was uninjured. The Moreno Valley man driving the van suffering minor injuries and was hospitalized for treatment, police said. (FOX 9) - The search for missing Columbia Heights teen Manny Collins is nearing a month, without many answers or clues to find him. What we know Thursday, authorities told FOX 9 they are asking any residents in the 4900 block of University Avenue Northeast in Columbia Heights to check their property for any suspicious items. They're also asking anyone with home or business surveillance footage showing Manny, or anything suspicious between May 8-12 to submit it to the Anoka County evidence portal. Authorities say they have conducted public and private property searches, and used dogs in some of those searches, to look for any clues. Authorities also say they've tried to contact Manny's father about his disappearance. Law enforcement believes Collins went missing against his will, and they have a person of interest who is not being named. There have been no arrests or charges in the case. What they're saying FOX 9's Karen Scullin sat down with the mother of the missing teen as authorities continue to search for answers in the case. "I'm being strong for my son. I know I can't go crazy right now because I have to find him," said Berry. At the time of his disappearance, Collins was temporarily staying with his father, and Berry called him looking for her son. Man driving 132 mph told trooper he was late for a job interview
A 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after a Connecticut State Police trooper observed him driving at a speed later confirmed to be 132 mph. The trooper saw a Mercedes-Benz E300 traveling at excessive speed on I-91 south near Cromwell and tried to initiate a traffic stop with lights and sirens. The driver accelerated away, making unsafe lane changes and weaving in and out of traffic, the trooper's report said. Because of the hazard being created, the trooper stopped the pursuit. State Police contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, who said that a family member had it. Troopers obtained a phone number for the man, who admitted he had been driving and said he didn't stop because he was late for a job interview. He then agreed to meet Troopers at Troop H office in Hartford, where he was arrested. He faces nine charges: reckless driving; disobeying signal of an officer; failure to maintain lane; passing on the right; improper turn; passing at an unsafe distance; engaging police in a pursuit; interfering with an officer; and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
