BACK AGAIN Quality Street lovers go wild as giant 'brings back' iconic discontinued chocolate bar after two years off shelves

Shoppers have spotted the new Quality Street bar on Asda shelves
It costs £3.50 for an 84g bar and it has the flavours of the iconic Green Triangle, which is usually found in Quality Street tins.
The Green Triangle is described as having a "smooth, silky praline filling coated in a milk chocolate shell".
Of course, it has a distinctive triangle shape and comes wrapped in a green foil.
A Nestle spokesperson said: "Quality Street is launching a new Green Triangle-inspired sharing bar, due to hit shelves over the next few weeks.
"Inspired by our iconic Green Triangle, we've created a bar filled with Hazelnut flavour filling so that fans don't have to wait until Christmas to enjoy sharing the taste of one of their favourite Quality Street sweets as a delicious treat!"
The sharing bar is very similar to another Quality Street one that was discontinued two years ago, leaving chocolate lovers devastated.
The Quality Street Collisions bar featured the flavours of both the Green Triangle and The Purple One chocolates in a single bar.
It combined gooey caramel, creamy hazelnut and crunchy hazelnut pieces in three delicious layers.
The bars landed on shelves in 2023 but were axed just a year later.
Disappointed Quality Street fans said they had lost their "favourite chocolate bar of all time".
Before they were discontinued, shoppers could purchase the 235g chocolate bar for £2.50 at Asda and other major supermarkets.
Quality Street is famous for its tins of delicious chocolates usually eaten at Christmas.
The brand first launched in 1936 when toffee manufacturer Harold Machintosh decided to bring the luxury of boxed chocolates to households across the UK.
Now Quality Street boxes include flavours such as Toffee Pennies, The Purple One, Strawberry Delight and Orange Creme.
But some flavours have come and gone over the years.
Among the axed flavours are Gooseberry Cream, Chocolate Truffle, Mint Fondant, Almond Octagon and Jaffa Toffee.
More chocolate news
The Quality Street bar isn't the only iconic chocolate to make a return lately.
Mars recently brought back its White Chocolate Maltesers after 11 years off shelves.
Plus, more chocolates are being introduced.
Carbury launched a new Dairy Milk flavour bar in the UK - Dairy Milk Iced Latte.
The new bar combines classic Dairy Milk chocolate with a creamy coffee filling and crunchy biscuit pieces.
The brand also recently brought out a White Dipped Twirl that combines white and milk chocolate.

Marks & Spencer names new chief people officer
British department store Marks & Spencer has named Hayley Tatum as its new chief people officer. She joins the retailer from Asda, where she spent over 14 years in the same role, nine of which in combination with the title chief corporate affairs officer. Her appointment was confirmed by Marks & Spencer CEO, Stuart Machin, who, in a post on LinkedIn, said Tatum would join the business from October 2025, at which time she will start her induction by working alongside store colleagues and in distribution centres. Machin, who has worked with Tatum previously, said she possesses a 'very hands-on and collaborative leadership style', before adding: 'We have lots to do in the years ahead to transform M&S and importantly become even closer to our customers and closer to our colleagues.' Tatum succeeds Sarah Findlater, who is stepping down from her role as people director after 27 years in total at Marks & Spencer. Findlater, who is to exit the company in autumn, was called a 'joy to work with' by Machin, who said she would 'leave as a long-term friend of the company'. In her own post, Findlater said: 'It's been a real privilege to grow through so many leadership roles and to work alongside some truly fabulous people who've inspired me every step of the way, and never more so than during the three months I recently spent working in stores alongside our incredible store colleagues. I leave the business at a high point – after three years of commercial growth, cultural transformation, and deep operational change.'

I filled my garden for the heatwave with outdoor toys from the Asda supersale, including a £3.60 Disney pool
SHOPPERS have been raving about the Asda summer sale, which has items that kids will love in the garden. The supermarket has numerous items discounted which look perfect for enjoying the hot weather. 4 A shopper shared a photo of the bargains they snapped up at Asda for their family on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK. They wrote: 'Asda have reduced some of their outdoor toys.' The first thing they bought was a Disney-themed paddling pool for just £3.60, which was £14.47. The three-ring pool is decorated with a cartoon picture of the Little Mermaid, which is perfect for Ariel fans. The next thing they found was a sand or water table, which would be 'perfect' for their baby's first birthday. They managed to pick it up for a purse-friendly £2.48. The bargains were spotted at Asda in West Bridgford, Nottingham, but people have been snapping up bargains in other stores too. TRAMPOLINE BARGAIN We recently shared how Asda is selling a huge 10ft trampoline for £119 less than its retail price. They have slashed the price of the Sportspower 10FT Quad Lok Trampoline to just £30 as part of their local store's clearance sale. A shopper shared their incredible find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook Group. Fashion fans are running to Asda for 'amazing value' holiday jewellery - including must-have £3.50 claw clips One surprised shopper responded, saying: "No way! I paid £100 yesterday for the same trampoline." Another simply commented: "What a price." The Sportspower 10FT Quad Lok Trampoline features a galvanised premium steel frame that is rust-resistant, strong, and built to last. The trampoline was previously available online from Asda through the George website, originally priced at £149 before being reduced to £129. 4 4 Its rust-resistant steel frame and special Quad Lok design keep the frame, legs, and safety enclosure securely connected for stability. For extra safety, it has an internal net to stop access to the springs and frame, plus padded poles and edges. The strong springs and durable jump mat ensure a smooth and consistent bounce. To find your nearest Asda store, you can visit Keep in mind that since this item is no longer available online, stock is limited, and you'll have to call your local store to ask if it has any in stock. How Asda has upped it's game By Fabulous' Fashion Director Tracey Lea Sayer Take a whizz round the aisles in Asda it is hard not to notice how good the George at Asda clothing range is at the minute. Add into the mix their recent collaboration with fashion designer Roksanda, celebrating 40 years of London Fashion Week, which is full of the designer's signature colour blocking dresses, oversized Borg fleeces and bold stripe co-ords, it is easy to see why the brand is on fire! All proceeds from the range go to The British Fashion Council to help promote young designers, so a win win! There also seems to be a return to quality in the clothing range. 'Style Stories' with fashion influencer Erica Davies is a capsule collection of Autumn must-haves which delivered not only on style, but on great pocket friendly prices starting from £7. Gorgeous quilted jackets, slogan sweats and a chocolate faux sheepskin flying jacket are among my faves. Plus, George at Asda has just been crowned with the Best Kidswear in our Fabulous Fashion awards voted for by the Fabulous readers. This hidden bistro in an industrial building serves some of the best Asian-inspired pasta in Singapore
Regulars were up in arms when RVLT announced last December that it would be closing sometime in 2025. Over its eight years on Carpenter Street, the fun-loving, casual wine bar carved out a reputation for itself as a pioneer of the natural wine movement in Singapore. But with business never quite bouncing back to its pre-Covid heyday – and rent and costs on a steady incline – even beloved institutions have to call it a day sometimes. RVLT poured its last glass in July this year. Thankfully, what died didn't stay dead. Founders Alvin Gho and Ian Lim are quick to bounce back on their feet with a brand new concept, Revolution, tucked away in an unsuspecting industrial estate in Bukit Merah. The restaurant has swapped out the grungy aesthetics of its old digs for a more minimalistic, classy look, with clean lines and a softer colour palette. The new space is designed in collaboration with Danish design house Fritz Hansen just next door, so that explains it. Despite the makeover, the spirit of RVLT lives on in its menu and wine programme. Executive Chef Sunny Leong continues to helm the kitchen, bringing back old faves like the homemade chicken nuggets ($20) – just as good, with a perfectly crisp shell and tender middle, studded with bits of chicken soft bone for an extra crunch, and paired with a slightly sweet tomato sriracha. Other dishes that survive the lynch include the sourdough bread with seaweed butter ($8), steak tartare ($26) and wagyu beef patty melt with fries ($28). And if you miss the vino, shimmy up to the bar-counter for spot-on recommendations by Alvin and Ian, who'll pour you anything from a juicy pinot noir from China to an unfussy glass of pet-nat. If you work around the area, Revolution's two-course set lunch ($28.80) is a solid deal, with Asian-inspired pastas taking centre stage. There are five to choose from, like salted egg carbonara spaghetti and black pepper wagyu steak bucatini. Our picks? The 'hua diao' white clam linguine and mala pesto trofie. The linguine has a splash of Chinese rice wine, though in the gentlest, most delicate way. What really stands out is the buttery sauce and giant, slippery clams which add a briny sweetness to each bite. Alvin tells us the mala pesto pasta is the most underrated of the lot, and we're inclined to agree. It's got that satisfying numbing kick, with a fine dusting of crushed almonds on top for added crunch. His personal favourite, however, is the chicken rendang ravioli, the only dish on the menu which uses fresh pasta. Each parcel is filled with a smooth chicken mousse and coated in a rich rendang sauce, with generous sprinkles of berempah (crispy, spiced crumbs) as the cherry on top. Come late September to October, Revolution will be rolling out its dinner menu, featuring new dishes dreamed up by Chef Sunny. We shan't spoil it, but let's just say you can expect anything from a reinvention of his iconic crystal bread to delicate stroopwaffles made of chicken skin, and more funky, boundary-pushing creations. For now, Revolution is open for lunch and tea from 11am to 5pm daily, with dinner hours expected to run from 6pm to midnight from Thursdays to Saturdays.
