When does LSU baseball's Baton Rouge Regional start?
The bracket for the NCAA Baseball Tournament was revealed on Monday, with LSU earning the No. 6 overall seed. Postseason baseball will return to Alex Box Stadium after LSU was sent on the road in 2024, falling to UNC in the Chapel Hill Regional.
The last time the road to Omaha went through Baton Rouge was 2023, when Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews led a star-studded LSU team to a national championship. LSU was the No. 5 overall seed on that run and made quick work of opponents in the regional and super regional.
LSU will look to cruise to Omaha with the same ease this year. Joining LSU in the Baton Rouge regional are Dallas Baptist, Rhode Island, and Little Rock. LSU is familiar with Dallas Baptist, already beating the Patriots once in February.
If LSU handles business in round one, the Tigers will face the winner of the Clemson regional in the super regional.
When does the Baton Rouge Regional begin?
Game one of the Baton Rouge Regional is set for 2:00 PM on Friday, May 30. LSU will get the action started vs. Little Rock. SEC Network and ESPN+ will broadcast the game.
Regional structure
The first round of the NCAA Baseball Tournament features 16 four-team double-elimination tournaments. If LSU doesn't take any losses, LSU will advance in just three games.

Auburn baseball vs. Coastal Carolina: Live coverage of Auburn Super Regional game one

Auburn baseball vs. Coastal Carolina: Live coverage of Auburn Super Regional game one The Auburn Tigers are hosting the Coastal Carolina in game one of a three-game, winner-take-all series that will send the winner to Omaha for the College World Series next week. Both teams enter the weekend on hot streaks by winning all three games played in last weekend's regional action. Auburn took down Central Connecticut, Stetson, and NC State in last weekend's Auburn Regional, with Sunday's championship win over the Wolfpack being its most dominant. After batting with NC State for the first three innings of the game, Auburn grabbed control by scoring seven runs in the 4th inning and three more in the 5th inning, which allowed them to cruise to an 11-1 win. As for Coastal, the Chanticleers swept their competition in three games. Coastal took care of Fairfield in game one and beat East Carolina twice to solidify their spot in the Super Regionals. The successful weekend extended their winning streak to 21 games, and pushed them over the 50-win mark. No other team remaining in the NCAA Baseball Tournament has won more than 50 games so far this season. Check back throughout the game for the latest updates and highlights from game one of the Auburn Regional between Auburn and Coastal Carolina. Daniel Dickinson on how LSU baseball can avoid the mistakes of last weekend

Daniel Dickinson on how LSU baseball can avoid the mistakes of last weekend Heading into its super regional matchup with West Virginia, LSU baseball is thankful to still be alive in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Tigers were nearly eliminated by Little Rock and infielder Daniel Dickinson acknowledges the team may have overlooked the sub .500 Trojans who won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship. "Coming from a mid-major school, I kind of knew that they would be ready to fight," Dickinson said. "I didn't really understand how much they were going to fight like they did." LSU came away with a shutout win in the Baton Rouge Regional opener but Little Rock evened the score with a Sunday victory to force a championship game. The Trojans took an early lead inside Alex Box Stadium, forcing the Tigers to complete a comeback victory. With a new perspective and a trip to Omaha on the line, Dickinson and his teammates know to putt heir best foot forward to keep the 2025 season going. "As we learned last weekend, every team is ready to play and they want to win," Dickinson said. "We can't over look that and we know West Virginia is going to come ready to play."
