Penrith Beer Festival is set to return for a second year after a 'successful' debut in 2024.
Promising a 'massive selection' of beer, the event promises to whet the appetite of the most seasoned beer fan.
Alongside the beer offering, the Penrith Beer Festival is also set to play host to live music including rock, indie, blues, ska alongside street food vendors and festival favourites.
A spokesperson for the Beer Festival said: 'Beer lovers can look forward to a massive selection of brews from some of the finest breweries in the region, including everything from hoppy IPAs and smooth stouts to refreshing lagers and ciders.
'Whether you're a seasoned craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a great weekend with friends, there's something for everyone.'

Tickets are now on sale, with super early bird discounts available for a limited time starting from just £8.
The event is set to go ahead on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 at Frenchfields, Penrith.

Cricket club's 3-day festival to showcase beer and gin brands
A cricket club is set to host a long weekend of drinks and music. Whitefield's Stand Cricket Club's Beer and Gin Festival will take place from Friday, June 27 to Sunday, June 29. The festival will feature 11 breweries serving drinks from 14 taps, alongside small-batch gins from six regional distilleries. Treasurer at the club, Elliot Barker, said: "We're delighted to welcome everyone back for another fantastic year of the beer and gin festival. "With our largest-ever selection - 11 breweries pouring from 14 taps and six gin distilleries - it promises to be our biggest event yet. "The festival is not only a celebration of great drinks and community spirit but also a vital part of our annual fundraising efforts." The festival will begin on the Friday with junior cricket training, food from Cugini's Pizza, and music from The Bury Busker. On the Saturday, Stand Cricket Club's 1st XI will play against Walshaw Cricket Club, followed by a performance from four-piece soul and funk band Soul Food. The Sunday will feature a friendly cricket match to round off the festival. Gin distilleries to feature at the festival include Bolton Gin, Ginsmith, Manchester Gin, Prestwich Gin, Stockport Gin, and Holcombe Gin. Entry is free, and no tickets are required. Penrith Beer Festival 2025 to feature music, street food, and craft beer
Only three weeks remain until Penrith Beer Festival 2025. Set to take place on Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21, at Frenchfields, Penrith, organisers have announced this year's event will be "bigger, bolder, and more beer-soaked than ever." More than 40 real ales from breweries in Cumbria and beyond will be available, along with lagers, ciders, wines, spirits, and low or no alcohol options. Live music will feature heavily at the festival, with a full line-up announced for both days. On Friday, June 20, DJ Fdog, The Hoo, and AKA Skafell will take the stage. Saturday, June 21, will see performances from Pottsy, Nobody's Friends Shanty Group, Cassette Baby, Beachmaster, Danny Abbott, and Somethin' Brewin'. The acts cover a range of genres, from shanty songs to ska, indie, rock, blues, and 80s anthems. Festival-goers can also enjoy a selection of food vendors and a large beer tent. Iconic steam locomotive pictured in Carlisle for anniversary special
A steam locomotive was pictured at Carlisle Station on Saturday as part of the 150th anniversary of the iconic Settle to Carlisle line. The Pepperclass A1 steam locomotive 60163 – Tornado was seen arriving at Carlisle station around 1pm on Saturday, May 31. The locomotive was hauling The West Yorkshireman excursion which ran from Bradford Forster Square to Carlisle via the Settle and Carlisle line. The journey over the Settle-Carlisle line featured on Channel 5's 'The World's Most Scenic Railway Journeys' programme. The Tornado was greeted by crowds at Carlisle Station (Image: Paul Grindley) The route crosses viaducts, travels through valleys, and passes by the stunning Yorkshire Three Peaks — Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside in one of the UK's most picturesque rail journeys. The route was celebrating 150 years of the Settle to Carlisle line as well as the 200th anniversary of the railway and the city of Bradford in West Yorkshire being the city of culture for 2025. The Tornado locomotive was completed in 2008 to an original design by Arthur Peppercorn. It is the first new build British mainline steam locomotive since 1960, and the only Peppercorn Class A1 in existence after the original batch were scrapped. In 2017, the Tornado became the first steam locomotive to officially reach 100 mph on British tracks in more than 50 years.
