College basketball live updates, scores, results: Michigan State takes on Oregon, Cooper Flagg's status unclear
Selection Sunday just two days away, but there's plenty of college basketball action to keep up with on conference tournament weekend.
Top-ranked Duke returns to action on Friday without Cooper Flagg after the potential NBA Draft No. 1 pick sprained his ankle on Thursday. His long-term status is unknown, but coach Jon Scheyer is playing it safe for the time being. The Blue Devils will face rival North Carolina in the ACC semifinals.
Beyond that, there are plenty of other noteworthy games on tap. Auburn, Michigan State, Houston and St. John's are all in action as contenders vie for the top seed line in the NCAA tournament.

The Spartans closed the first half on an 11-2 run capped by a Carson Cooper jumper. That put some distance between them and Oregon as the Ducks were staying close.
Jaden Akins missed a corner 3 just before the buzzer that would've made the MSU fans erupt.
The Spartans are still shooting 4-of-6 from 3. Seven offensive rebounds for MSU might be the difference in the first half.
Michigan State might be pulling away as halftime approaches. Jase Richardson hits a 3 to give the Spartans a 40-32 lead with 1:17 left before the break.

Nebraska getting visit from key running back target this weekend Nebraska football is set to host class of 2026 running back target Jamal Rule. He is coming to Lincoln from June 13- 15th. Rule is the 41st overall running back in the 2026 class and the 31st overall player in his class from the state of North Carolina, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He has visited Nebraska once before Friday's visit. He took a trip to Lincoln on November 23, 2024. The running back has had a busy summer. He took a visit to Syracuse on May 30, Virginia Tech on June 6, and has a visit set up for Michigan State on June 20. All of these visits will be official. Rule ran for 1,236 yards and 15 touchdowns last year. He had seven games of 100 yards or more, and averaged 176.6 yards per contest, per statistics from The Huskers are trying to add one more running back for the 2026 class. Rule would be a key get, with other targets beginning to come off the board.
