Israel Plans to Build Jewish Israeli State in West Bank
Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Friday that Israel planned to build a 'Jewish Israeli state' in the occupied West Bank, according to Al-Arabiya.
Katz's remarks follow Israel's announcement of the creation of 22 new settlements in the West Bank.
'This is a decisive response to the terrorist organizations that are trying to harm and weaken our hold on this land,' Katz said.
Katz also noted that the new settlements would be a clear message to French President Emmanuel Macron and his associates: they will recognize a Palestinian state on paper – but Israel will build the Jewish Israeli state here on the ground. Recognizing Palestinian State
Last week, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said that France was 'determined' to recognize a Palestinian State, according to France 24.
Barrot also condemned Israel's 'indefensible' situation in Gaza caused by its heavy airstrikes and blockade of humanitarian aid.
'We cannot leave the children of Gaza a legacy of violence and hatred. So, all this must stop, and that's why we are determined to recognize a Palestinian state,' Barrot told France Inter radio.
In this regard, he also emphasized that Paris supported a Netherlands-led initiative for a review of the cooperation agreement between the European Union and Israel.
'And I am actively working towards this, because we want to contribute to a political solution in the interest of the Palestinians but also for the security of Israel,' he added.
Barrot's statement came after French President Emmanuel Macron joined British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in a rare joint statement that made Israel very angry.
The participating states said that they would not stand by 'further concrete actions' if Israel continued to block aid. Furthermore, they stressed their commitment to recognizing a Palestinian state.

Arab Ministers Condemn Israel's Ban on West Bank Visit
Jordan's Foreign Affairs Ministry has condemned Israel's decision to ban an Arab delegation from visiting Ramallah and meeting with Palestinian officials, according to Arab News. The ministry described the decision as 'a blatant violation of Israel's obligations as the occupying power.' Consequently, members of the ministerial committee decided to postpone their visit to Ramallah due to Israel's rejection of the delegation's entry through the airspace of the occupied West Bank. Planned Ramallah Visit The delegation consisted of ministers from Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and as well as United Arab Emirates. Importantly, the ministers were set to participate in 'a provocative meeting' to explore the establishment of a Palestinian state. 'Such a state would undoubtedly become a terrorist state in the heart of the land of Israel,' an Israeli official said. The source also added that Israel will not cooperate with such moves that seek to harm Israel and its security. The meeting proceeds an international conference, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, that will take place in New York on June 17-20 to consider the issue of Palestinian statehood. Mounting Pressure on Israel Recently, Israel has been experiencing mounting pressure from the United Nations and European countries which made serious steps to recognize a two-state solution in ordered to end the Israeli Palestinian conflict. On Friday, French President Emmanuel Macron said that recognizing a Palestinian state was not only a 'moral duty but a political necessity.' Meanwhile, Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Israel was planning to build a 'Jewish Israeli state' in the occupied West Bank, according to Al-Arabiya. Irish Politician Describes Israel's Military Campaign in Gaza as ‘Barbaric'
A video went viral on social media showing Irish Politician Barry Andrews condemning Israel's war in Gaza and describing Netanyahu's campaign as 'barbaric'. Andrews noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his war in Gaza was a battle against barbarism. However, the civilized world has concluded that Israel is the one who conducted a campaign of barbarism, acceding to Andrews. 'A majority of European countries have finally concluded that it is barbaric to use starvation as a weapon of war,' Andrews added. He also described the statement of Bezalel Smotrich, Israeli Minister of Finance, regarding ethnic cleansing in Gaza as 'barbaric'. @palestinegaza11357 ♬ son original – palestinegaza11357 Meanwhile, Andrews called 'Gideon's Chariots' operation as 'barbaric' and blatant violation of the international humanitarian law. 'But we cannot just focus on access for aid, we also have to make sure that violence has to come to an end,' he added. What hostage has ever been released as a result of a military action? And today we read that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fired warning shots at French diplomats and others visiting the West Bank,' he said. 'If this is the way European diplomats are treated, imagine how Palestinians are treated in the West Bank,' the politician said. At the end of his speech, Andrews said that it was unavoidable to conclude that it was the IDF that was conducting a barbaric campaign. Since the beginning of Hamas-Israel War in Gaza in 2023, the Israeli strikes have killed more than 53,500 Palestinians and wounded more than 118,000, according to Gaza's Health Ministry. Irish Politician Hopes Netanyahu "Burns in Hell" For Burning Children in Gaza
Thomas Gould, Irish Member of Parliament, condemned Israel's genocide in Gaza, hoping that Netanyahu 'burns in Hell' for killing Palestinian children in Gaza, Irish media reported. 'I hope [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu burns in hell in the same way those children burned,' Gould told parliament. Gould described what is happening now in Gaza as 'not an atrocity in a war crime, it is just horrific. It is just horrific what they are doing.' 'Where is the soul of the Israeli people that allows their government to do this to children? Where is their humanity? The Irish people say we recognize Palestine. We recognize that they are human beings just like every one of us,' he added. 'Shame on Israel. Shame on what you have done and will never be forgotten,' Gould said during his impassioned speech. In 2024, Ireland officially recognized the Palestinian state amid Israel's ongoing devastating war against civilians in Gaza. #غزة #أيرلندا_مع_فلسطين #FreePalestine #الاحتلال_جريمة #دعم_غزة #أوقفوا_الإبادة #ضد_الصهيونية #فلسطين_قضيتنا #Gazagenocide #IrelandForPalestine #StandWithGaza #StopTheOccupation #غزة #FreePalestine #أيرلندا_مع_فلسطين #StopTheGenocide #فلسطين_حرة #IrelandStandsWithGaza #أنقذوا_غزة #EndTheOccupation #الحرية_لفلسطين #JusticeForGaza #StandWithPalestine #أوقفوا_الإبادة ♬ الصوت الأصلي – HADY45 🤵 Banning Trade with Israeli Firms Ireland's Foreign Minister Simon Harris has recently announced that his government seeks to obtain a formal decision to suspend trade ties with Israeli firms in the Palestinian territories, according to Financial Times. Harris stated in a post on X that Irish government is pushing forward a bill, known as the Occupied Territories Bill, next Tuesday, to halt relations with Israeli companies. He further expressed his hope that the Committee on Foreign Affairs would begin reviewing the bill in June. In this context, Harris also condemned Israel's devastating war in Gaza and its blockade of humanitarian aid since March. He also accused Israel of using food as a weapon of war against Palestinian civilians. 'The world has to act, and the world has not done nearly enough,' he added. Apart from this, Harris welcomed and supported the EU's recent remarkable move to review the EU-Israel Association Agreement. However, he noted that the review alone would not make a significant impact. Therefore, 'It needs to be more than reviewed. It needs to be suspended because it cannot be business as usual whilst this is being carried out in Gaza.' Since the beginning of Hamas-Israel War in Gaza in 2023, the Israeli strikes have killed more than 53,500 Palestinians and wounded more than 118,000, according to Gaza's Health Ministry.
