Speaking to former co-star Matthew Wolfenden, Roxy opened up about how she felt having to kiss her co-stars - and it's safe to say she's not a fan.
Matthew said: "They decided to try to put David and Leyla back together — do you remember? — and we had to do a kissy scene. It was the weirdest thing, wasn't it?
"Because it's alright when you're doing those scenes with... (people you don't know so well)."
She said on their podcast The Celebrity Side Hustle Roxy said: "I really struggle with them, because I am someone, and I know it sounds daft as an actor because people listening will be saying, 'It's your job.'
'It is, and you do get on with it, but for me personally, I'm so weird about personal space.
"I've just never felt comfortable with it."
She added: "It's always made me anxious.
"I always get a bit awkward, but the best way I found to deal with it is to almost choreograph it like a dance."
The actress left the show in 2024, and bowed out after her character, Leyla was killed in the tragic limo crash.
A source close to the telly star said at the time: "Roxy has adored her time on the soap and has made so many happy memories since first joining when she was 17.
I was stunned when I found out my Emmerdale character Leyla Harding was going to die in limo crash… it was very tough, admits star Roxy Shahidi
"The cast have become like family to her and she has grown so much as an actress, but now feels like the perfect time to spread her wings and try something new.
"She is really excited about her meaty exit storyline, which will see her character Leyla die on screen.
'She'd rather go out in a blaze of glory and be remembered."

Yet it reopened in 2015 after a huge £25million renovations which has seen a number of new rides and attractions. And one of the newest rides opening this year is the Log Flume. The theme park once had the water ride more than 25 years ago, only to close the ride and sell it off. However, it is set to reopen at the theme park. The park's operation manager Jack King said: "Anyone that works in the attractions industry or is an avid fan of all things Theme Park will appreciate the dying breed that is a UK based classic Log Flume. "It is with absolute pride to see the installation of our new classic Reverchon Log Flume. "It is so exciting to actually say Dreamland Margate will be opening its first Log Flume in about 25 years." An official opening date for the ride is yet to be confirmed. In the mean time, you can also ride the Scenic Railway, one of the oldest wooden rollercoasters in the UK. The tiny UK theme park reopening next month which has seaside views and the oldest rollercoaster in the country The Big Wheel, Pirate Ship, Dodgems and Rock 'N' Roller roller coaster are some other rides at the park. Inside there is a huge roller rick and arcade as well. And the theme park also runs a number of live music events, with big name acts this year include Haim, Tom Jones, McFly, Dizzee Rascal and Billy Ocean. The theme park is free to visit, although they introduced new rider wristbands this year. The £24.99 all-day wristbands give guests unlimited access to the rides. Some even said Dreamland once rivalled Disneyland. Chris Britcher, who grew up in Kent, told local media: "The early eighties was a time when the ultimate holiday seemed to be a mortgage-busting ticket to Florida and the Disney parks. "But to me, as enticing as some of the rides across the pond seemed, Disney's saccharine brand was enough to make Dreamland, the theme park formerly known, temporarily, as Bembom Brothers, appear to have their beating at every level. "This was British charm, soaked in temperamental British sunshine and with good old British grit and grime thrown in. Here is another major attraction opening at a UK theme park. And a brand new theme park is opening in Europe - here is everything we know so far.

Coronation Street star 'bullied' by classmates for being on ITV soap

Helen Flanagan has become a household name as a result of her Corrie role (Picture:for the NTA's) Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan has opened up about being bullied as a child. The star portrayed the role of Rosie Webster in the ITV soap on and off from 2000 to 2018. The star left the cobbles to go on maternity leave, and hasn't returned since. Due to the fact Helen was a youngster when she joined the show, some of her classmates ended up bullying her as she divided her time between school and the soap. It's this experience that has impacted Helen's decision on choosing a school for her daughter Matilda, who she shares with footballer and ex-partner Scott Sinclair. Helen has three children with her ex Scott Sinclair (Picture: Karwai Tang/WireImage) Helen admitted recently that the bullying she suffered when she was a child got so bad, she ended up moving to a private school for girls. 'Picking a secondary school for my little girl can be quite daunting because I remember I did struggle with a lot of bullying as well in my first school, because I was on Coronation Street. I'm naturally quite a soft person as well, and I did really really get picked on', she told the Daily Star. When Helen moved schools, she ended up doing half of the time due to commitments at the ITV soap. She added: 'I got extra support and I did tutors as well at Corrie. I had to be in education until I was 16 and had to do four hours a week. I think I was the only one who was a bit of a geek out of the Corrie lot. But I actually did quite like it. Helen played Rosie Webster, daughter of Sally and Kevin (Picture: ITV) 'But because I got picked on an awful lot, this is now why as a mum, I worry. My little girl she is a sweetie and soft like me, but you don't want to put your insecurities onto your children.' As a result of becoming a household name through the soap, Helen is often asked about whether she'd ever reprise her role. After previously admitting that she wouldn't go back due to her children being young, Helen now feels she's at a point where she'd be able to juggle motherhood with the busy life at the soap. 'I can't say too much, but it could be possible that I could go back. I get on with everyone there, there's nothing personal going on', she said in a chat with The Sun. 'It changed my life so much and my loyalty is with them. I feel like Rosie's a part of me.' Helen also touched on how she believes Rosie is an important character to have on our screens, saying 'they do need me. They do need Rosie.' Helen Flanagan split with her partner Scott Sinclair in November 2022 after a 13 year relationship. They share three children together called Matilda, Delilah and Charlie.
