Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan has opened up about being bullied as a child.
The star portrayed the role of Rosie Webster in the ITV soap on and off from 2000 to 2018. The star left the cobbles to go on maternity leave, and hasn't returned since.
Due to the fact Helen was a youngster when she joined the show, some of her classmates ended up bullying her as she divided her time between school and the soap.
It's this experience that has impacted Helen's decision on choosing a school for her daughter Matilda, who she shares with footballer and ex-partner Scott Sinclair.

Helen admitted recently that the bullying she suffered when she was a child got so bad, she ended up moving to a private school for girls.
'Picking a secondary school for my little girl can be quite daunting because I remember I did struggle with a lot of bullying as well in my first school, because I was on Coronation Street. I'm naturally quite a soft person as well, and I did really really get picked on', she told the Daily Star.
When Helen moved schools, she ended up doing half of the time due to commitments at the ITV soap.
She added: 'I got extra support and I did tutors as well at Corrie. I had to be in education until I was 16 and had to do four hours a week. I think I was the only one who was a bit of a geek out of the Corrie lot. But I actually did quite like it.

'But because I got picked on an awful lot, this is now why as a mum, I worry. My little girl she is a sweetie and soft like me, but you don't want to put your insecurities onto your children.'
As a result of becoming a household name through the soap, Helen is often asked about whether she'd ever reprise her role.
After previously admitting that she wouldn't go back due to her children being young, Helen now feels she's at a point where she'd be able to juggle motherhood with the busy life at the soap.

'I can't say too much, but it could be possible that I could go back. I get on with everyone there, there's nothing personal going on', she said in a chat with The Sun.
'It changed my life so much and my loyalty is with them. I feel like Rosie's a part of me.'
Helen also touched on how she believes Rosie is an important character to have on our screens, saying 'they do need me. They do need Rosie.'
Helen Flanagan split with her partner Scott Sinclair in November 2022 after a 13 year relationship. They share three children together called Matilda, Delilah and Charlie.

EastEnders exit story as Queen Vic fan-favourite packs his bags and leaves
George Knight (Colin Salmon) bids farewell to The Queen Vic in EastEnders next week, in the wake of wife Elaine's (Harriet Thorpe) affair. As we've seen this week, Elaine was left furious after discovering her husband spent Christmas evening in the company of his ex-wife Sabrina. While he remained insistent that he rejected her advances, he later went on to seek advice from his other ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). This only infuriated Elaine further, and she contacted old mate Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton) for a pep talk. Having taken his words to heart, she decided to hop into bed with a Prince Albert punter named Stephen. Riddled with guilt, she returned home and was shocked to see George make an impassioned plea to forgive him. At that moment she realised that he hadn't cheated – but she did. Still believing that she needed to be won over, and not picking up on her obvious torment, he pulled out all the stops by serenading her in The Vic bar. Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) urged her mum to come clean, and when she did, it had disastrous consequences. George couldn't see past her infidelity, even if she was pleading for forgiveness, and started to pack his bags. In upcoming scenes, Elaine puts on a brave face as George's best mate Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) tries to convince him that he should give her a second chance. After all, he did kiss Cindy last year! With Phil's words of wisdom ringing in his ears, George tells his wife that he's prepared to forgive her, but an enraged Elaine can't believe that he won't take responsibility for his part in the break-up and rejects him. It's the end of an era as George walks out of their home, but Linda tries to see the more positive side to things by arranging a divorce party to cheer her mum up. Phil notices how much Linda is struggling behind the bar by herself, and offers to chip in his expertise while Kim and Denise Fox (Tameka Empson and Diane Parish), Mo Harris (Laila Morse), Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) and Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) try and perk Elaine up. More Trending Hitting the bottle hard, Elaine proudly announces that all prosecco is on the house for the remainder of the evening. She then offers to book Priya on a singles cruise, telling her that she needn't worry about paying her back straight away. The next morning, Linda is horrified to see £5,000 gone from the business account, and a hungover Elaine dismisses her. Phil feels that she's gone off the rails, and chastises her for treating Linda poorly. When Elaine tries to broach the subject with her daughter, she downplays her overwhelm. Jamie Laing shares moving tribute as pal tragically dies on Air India flight
Jamie Laing has paid tribute to his 'wonderful' friend who was feared to be on the ill-fated Air India flight this week. Fiongal Greenlaw, 39, and his husband Jamie Meek, 45, are thought to have been on board the flight, bound for London's Gatwick Airport, which went down shortly after take-off. They are said to have been on holiday in India. The couple co-founded a wellness brand together, which had been shown on ITV's This Morning. Following the tragic news, Jamie paid tribute to Jamie with a tribute on his Instagram Stories. "I will miss you dear friend," he said. "A wonderful human with a wonderful soul." Fiongal appeared as a guest on This Morning in January. During the episode, he gave hosts Ben and Cat a reading over their auras. He was brought back as a spiritual advisor on the show in April, with him appearing alongside Ben, Cat and Josie Gibson in the TV studio based in London. After his first visit, a post shared by his wellness brand the Wellness Foundry on Instagram read: "So this happened ... The biggest gig so far! Fiongal on This Morning - it was very nerve-wracking but he was honoured to chat about one of his favourite topics to such a big audience." The post on the platform continued: "Thank you to everyone [at] This Morning for being so amazing and guiding me through. Thank you to [Cat and Ben] for being so kind and welcoming." Fiongal and Jamie are said to have been died in the plane crash this week. As it was previously reported, the duo posted a clip from Ahmedabad airport moments before getting on the plane. Fellow Made In Chelsea star Alex Mytton also paid tribute amid reports Jamie and Fiongal died in the crash. Tagging his girlfriend Helen Wood, Alex wrote: "A bit lost for words and feeling a tad emotionally exhausted so I just want to write a short message so as to get the message out. "Our lovely friends Fiongal & Jamie were very sadly killed yesterday in the plane crash in India. There's a lot more I want to say about them, as they were very close to @Hannah_woood & I's heart but right now I just wanted to say that if anybody wants to meet up tomorrow if they're feeling heavy, sad or just wanna hang out with some other humans I'm gonna be organising a little meet up & hug in the park or along the lines (sorry not making loads of sense atm). "It feels like there's a lot of sadness and pain at the moment and just wanted to do something as a vigil to our friends but also for everything else going on at the moment. "So please if you're feeling down or even just up for hanging out or just saying hey, it'll be a bunch of us just chatting and chilling in the park."
